Name that Star Trek Episode
GeorgeStGeorge replied to GeorgeStGeorge's topic in Movies, Music, Books, Art
Was it the NG episode where Picard, Guinan, Ro, ans a couple of others get turned into children (transporter mishap, I believe), and try to re-take the Enterprise from some Ferengi? Young Picard had a lot of hair. I remember that the first thing he did after being returned to normal was to feel for hair! Incidentally, I picked "Way to Eden" to complement the previous use of "Spock's Brain." In my estimation, those two are tied for the worst ST episode of all time. And "Way to Eden" was essentially remade as "Star Trek V: The Final Frontier," probably the worst ST MOVIE ever. George -

I think that's been established. If you know the answer, you might as well blurt it out. WordWolf's shotgun blasts might bring it down eventually, but I don't think he'll mind if you step in. George -
Do you see three pictures? On my work computer, the first one seems to be missing. George

Anyone? George

Since I actually knew the BS&T song (no, really), I'll post one: Satan should be her name. To me, they're about the same. George

Not a Stargate version. None of them are gone yet, anyway (although SG-1 will close this spring). Third guess? George -
Sudo, This gives away the singer's name (if Tops's clue wasn't enough), but it was one of my favorite "Karnak" jokes from the Carson show: (Puts envelope to head) "A double, a triple, a first-baseman's glove, a catcher's glove, and Dolly Parton." (Opens envelope) Name two big hits, two big mitts, and . . . . a country-western star! George

Reminds me of "Booby Trap," the NG episode where Geordi generates a holographic Dr. Brahms to help him figure out how to get the Enterprise out of a trap. George -

A worthy guess. HOWEVER, Babylon 5 (1994-1998) was over before this one started. I don't recall Nietzschians or Magog in B5. The Shadows were the real bad guys in B5. Assuming you consider Bruce Boxleitner the star of B5, what other syndicated adventure show would he have been famous for? What's your second guess? George -
Don't feel bad; if you hadn't seen "Traxx," we'd STILL be on it! I won't know this movie without googling. George

Well THAT was pretty cool! And on the Johnny Carson show, to boot! I doubt we'd see that today. George

I enjoyed Space: Above and Beyond, as well. Ya gotta love space Marines! But that show went only one season. Again, I can't give any quotes that would make it more obvious. (It would be like using: "Ralph Kramden, when are you and Ed Norton going to take Trixie and me shopping?") A couple other clues about the show, though: It's only been off the air for a couple of years. Its star was more famous for his role as the title hero in another syndicated adventure show. It has a Star Trek relationship. In the show, Nietzschians are bad guys, but the Magog are REALLY bad guys. George -
This one might take a little thought: George

No, that was just a "Wag." Keep trying. This show was on the air for several years. George

Actually, I really enjoyed the show. I could give a lot more quotes, but If no one's got it having two of the main characters already, I doubt other quotes would help. George -
I'm sure I know this one. I just can't "hear" a melody with the words! George

I doubt we'll have another 10-incher in the next three weeks, but do we have a plan for inclement weather? I have no idea how big Ex10's home is (though I've never seen a small one in The Woodlands :) ), but it appears we'll have to seat 30 or more folks. George

"Inner Light" would have been my next guess. If it's right, though, who was the cameo? George -
If ah recolleck rahtly, that's from "The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas." Was it Charles Durning singing? George

You've got most of it. The floor isn't hardwood. George

"Jack Frost"? George

Gene Roddenberry had a voice cameo as the cook in the original series episode "Charlie X." I don't recognize this quote, though, so it could be another episode (or show altogether). Maybe it was when Kirk gives Charlie a judo lesson? George -
Katherine Helmond and Diana Canova, mostly.
