  1. "Lots of curves, you bet! Even more when you get to the Junction!" Whenever I'm "movin' kind of slow," I call it "Uncle Joe Syndrome"! And Bobbi Jo was definitely the hottest. :o--> George
  2. It's like "Bachelor Father." I was about seven when both went off the air, but I still remember them. I would have thought that anything on before I was ten would be gone from memory completely! George
  3. Of course, before "The Rifleman" he was a baseball player (Cubs, I think). And who can forget his role as Sylvester T. Superman on the old Superman show? George
  4. Sounds like a comic version of Watergate, so "Dick"? George

    Its Field Day!

I was guessing beard-moustache-and-cap guy, but he's in more than one picture. George
  6. All the Corps grads I know that still fellowship with TWI are not on the payroll. (Heck, I'm not even sure WHAT their official "designation" is.) They continue for two reasons: doctrine (if you belive the "biggies" -- one God, dead are dead, and some others -- there's not a lot out there except TWI and its split-offs. JW's come close) and friends (as Catcup mentioned). It's more a matter of resignation than enjoyment. George
  7. I still don't know what the movie is, but "anal leakage" is a problem with all non-caloric oils. They're "non-caloric" because they're not absorbed in the intestine, so out they come! My company worked on such a product for a while, but decided the AL problem was a killer. Back to Name that Flick. George
  8. From Belle's post, I infer that it was "Why Don't We Get Drunk & Screw" by Jimmy Buffett. George
  9. Wise guy. Yes, Go ahead, Steve! George
  10. It was a fairly cloudy night down here (SE Texas) on 8/27/03; but, even so, Mars was noticeably larger than it had been before. Not even close to the size of the moon, though! George
  11. Sadly...people will read the book, people will watch the movie. The only way nonsense like this would stop is if it no longer becomes profitable. And I don't see America's sensibilities improving any time soon. :(--> George
  12. Yeah. Just because Craiggers liked something, that doesn't mean it was BAD. Heck, he thought the Flash was cool, and I agree. (Not as cool as Green Lantern or the Martian Manhunter, but definitely cool.) George
  13. Why, because you know the same songs we do? I started listening to the radio about the time the Beatles hit it big. In more recent years, I've gotten into 50's rock and roll, especially Dion and Little Richard. Unfortunately, in the past year Houston's "oldies" station has abandoned the 50's, now playing only 60's and 70's songs. (And I'm really getting tired of hearing Wings and Elton John all the time!) George
  14. "Zorro, the Gay Blade." A true classic!!! Next quote: No, I'm from Iowa. I just WORK in outer space. (Pretty easy, I think.) George
  15. I don't know about a red cape or tights. What I DO know is that I need another clue! George
  16. Close enough. It's actually "Silhouettes" by Herman's Hermits (starring Peter Noone). I was really into Herman's Hermits, and this was my favorite song. It wasn't until about 30 years later, though, when I heard a clear recording of the Rays' version, that I actually understood all the words. Until then, I hadn't known that the guy was actually at the wrong house! You're up, Pirate. George
  17. If I'm right, there were TWO "Dynasty" connections, as well!
  18. Did it by any chance have to do with an "unwed dad"? John F. was the star, and was involved with Charlie's Angels as well. George
  19. Here's a hint: This was a big hit for a "British Invasion" group, although it was first recorded in the 50's.
  20. I guess I don't read enough posts to find out why Catcup was motivated to start this thread. (And there really isn't much IN this thread for me to figure it out, either. Then again, it isn't my business!!) If it works for you and Geek, more power to you. My wife and I don't agree on everything, but we do agree on major doctrinal points. I honestly believe that I couldn't be happy married to a Trinitarian. But that's ME. George
  21. She meant, of course, Buddy Holly. But this isn't "Name that Tune." Is there actually a movie quote in the last few posts that I'm supposed to be figuring out? George
  22. Try this one: Kisses I could almost taste, in the night. George
