  1. I never heard of CES before, been gone from the Way since 1984, but heres my view.... I wouldnt join an "Off shoot" of the Way because I feel many essentials of the Christian faith were wrongly taught. I know many of you would disagree, but I just don't feel comfortable having to argue with people about...Believing = recieving, Jesus Christ is not God, you MUST Tithe, You must not attend any church you want to, etc..... And most importantly I really uncomfortable with the peer pressure and mind control used on me, always wanting more more more commitment.... I live in Orlando, Florida...home of "Benny Hinn" so I am observing his wacky "Faith Theology" with all his weird doctrines and fake claims of healing and raising people from the dead.... another words, Im really turned off by "organized religion" I tried one Pentecostal church but evry time I went there they were pressuring me for more and more money to pay the mortgage on their HUGE cathedral, they called it "moving the mountain" I always thought....man Id rather just fellowship and hear the Word taught than to struggle every minute to help "move their mountain" Also...many times Id show up and they would be televising the service, and it was more a TV studio atmosphere than a loving, felowshipping church And about the Catholic church.....in Orlando its kinda huge and impersonal. When my Mom died last year they said that to have a funeral service would cost $1,800 !! And thats on top of all the other services! I went up to Massachusetts where Mom wanted to be buried and the little church there did the service for $110 Some of the folks in small Protestant churches tell me their churches would do a funeral service for free.... So...I just feel that with all the scandals.........Priests molesting kids, Jimmy Swagart's adultery, Benny Hinn getting caught in a lie about raising someone from the dead...Benny Hinn False Prophet So its good to look closely before leaping, there are a lot bad organized churches out there.........
  2. Heres two things that I do, and Ive had good fortune with them.... 1) I have "deadbolts" so...they never can be locked from the outside unless you do it with a key ( they are flat bars so they dont slide and lock when the door is closed, if the lock is actuated when I close the door it wont allow the door to close! It will hit the door jam with a "thunk!" and the door will stay open) 2) As for being away from home and losing keys.....I always keep 2 keys in my wallet....A spare car key ( for those times you lock your keys in the car) and a spare house key Ive never had to use the spare house key yet, but I did lock my keys in my car 2 times, but I didnt panic, just went into my wallet and got the spare
  3. Welcome, hope you like the Forum....

  4. Welcome dude! I like your attitude! I like to think of myself as layed back too, and...I also am turned off by organized religion and pushy people. I hope to see your input lots on this Forum, Ill keep an eye out for your posts... And if its cool Id like to add you as friend.
  5. Im glad someone agrees with me about whole foods I hate having to cut my food in half and give half away to someone
  6. Sounds like a lot of 'Monkey Business' to me....
  7. I can only say that I am an LPN and am not an expert in alternative medicines, but as far as what we might do is a "Urinary Analysis" which can test quickly for bacteria or abnormal things (like blood) in the urine, and other things...... or a "Culture and Sensitivity" to test what kind of infection you have and what antibiotic to use I dont usually use alternative medicines, esp with discussing their effect with my personal physician ( because I take heart medicines) But I do know there are many beneficial alternative medicines and I kinda use the "Pragmatic" approach ( I see if it ACTUALLY works) on deciding whether or not to use them I googled Functional Medicine and heres a site that kinda explains it pretty well....The Medical Detectives - FUNCTIONAL DIAGNOSTIC MEDICINE I'll be studying it it looks really promising.....
  8. My condolences on your personal pain and may you have peace and Gods loving presence all through your life and in your alone times too! 9. Yes Ive heard of those towns but Im not ( or rather I wasnt) knowledgeable of the Way believers in those towns. Maybe you knew some of these people..... Bernadette Willette Suzanne Ryan Foster and Teesh Smith Jim Dufala Melanie Doggett Bill and Vicki Kralik Tom something ( was the Limb Leader before Foster and Teesh) who played guitar Ico Arcilla ( a student at WPI from Columbia , the country)
  10. Hi Brushstroke! (Phil) Im kinda new too but I read about your girlfriend and had some thoughts..... 1) You cannot challenge her on doctrine because this is what the PFAL class is, intense doctrinal brainwashing and what to say to people who disagree ( She will begin to see that the Ways doctrines are wrong once shes broken the mind controlling grip on her life) 2) If I were you Id challenge the Way Itself.....you see theres a number of disturbing things about the Way and its behavior, and you should ask your girlfriend to consider that they are "exploiting" her and are in fact not behaving in a Christian Manner..... examples : ......they will tell her she MUST hang out almost constantly with Way people and never with anyone else ......they will tell her to put the Ways wishes over those of her family ......they will discourage her from attending a church ( Catholic, Baptist, Pentecostal, Methodist, etc...) ......they have a lax attitude towards adultery, and many of their early members/founders committed adultry with many Way women in an exploitve way....(Dr Weirwille had adultery, Craig Martindale had adultery, read this article....http://www.ex-way.com/ especially "Contents" then Chapter 10 .....they will in an inconsiderate way put her life and future in jeopardy.....read this......http://www.greasespotcafe.com/ipb/index.php?showtopic=4698 3) Lastly, tell her that they are really just concerned in Propogating their cult, they do NOT love her with an unconditional love like her family and friends do! If they conclude that she is "out of fellowship" they will "Mark and avoid" her and totally cut her off in a heartbeat! Tell your girlfriend thats no way to live, theres good decent people out here who care for her and love her and her Mom and Pop and you love her unconditionally and thats the people who will lovingly recieve her back when she wants to come back, and tell her to come back NOW
  11. In the article the monks say he just started imitating them by sitting up and holding his paws together in front of himself

Hi, My condolences for your computer problem I had a similar problem with my computer a few months ago And I had the latest version of Trend Micro Anti Virus 2007 all updated and everything, it didnt even slow this virus down! ( I was sooo mad ) But I solved it with one quick step, but it cost me like $40 I brought it to where I bought the Computer...Cheap Guys Computers of Orlando Florida. Don't let the name fool you they are waaaay better than Best Buy Geek squad and other small time computer fixers Took a few days but they got me totally restored with NO memory loss! So if you live near Lake Eerie, Id suggest you ask around, and determine who in your area is a truly skilled and honest computer specialist and pay em, cause it sounds like your in over your head and your headed to that o so horrible "O my God Im gonna say the hell with it and delete my hard drive" moment PS If all else fails Ill bet Geek Squad can fix it but they might charge you more than $40
  14. Yes that name rings a bell BTW what part of Massachusetts you from ( I also lived in Worcester, Northboro, Shrewsberry)
  15. I lived in Pittsfield MA but some of the believers from Gt Barrington moved into a "Way House" and I lived with them in Pittsfield MA for a short time.We often traveled to Gt Barrington because it is a short drive from Pittsfield. BTW is Rick Vogt still there? He was a businessman (Vogt Woodworking) and had a large house in that area where we sometimes met. Around 1980 we also were involved in some thing called The Way In Politics or something like that, and there was some Way candidate for a State office or something and we were all hyped up, does anyone remember who that Way Politician was? I'll Rick Vogt rmemebrs if he is still around there. I guess your saying you only knew the others by name, but....we ALL knew Larry Newey. I'm surprised he joined another church (man was he gung ho for the Way!) but I guess he finally "saw through" the Way Ministry. BTW I sponsored Larry in the Corps around 1980 or so. I do remeber Larry had a degree in Entomology(?) the study of Insects. I'm a bit surprised he didn't get a job in some scientific field or perahps medical , because I also knew his wife who was a nurse at a nursing home in Gt Barrington ( I worked with her for a short time) Its a shame you didnt know the others because they also were memorable characters ( man I could tell you some stories!) and I miss them a lot and still love them. I moved away from Massachasetts and now I live in Orlando Florida. I havent met or known anyone in Orlando from the Way because I basically "quit" the way in 1983. Thnx for the update on Larry and feel free to message or PM me. Also about Gt Barrington ( I used to work at Willowood of Gt Barrington) its a nice little town.
  16. Here is a true story about a Budhist dog that learned to pray, but he always prays for worldy things....treats, red meat, and a cat to chase.... Budhist dog learns to pray
  17. I knew Margeurite and Magdeline (not sure of the spelling) They were in Twig when I first got into the Way around 1978-79 in Pittsfield Massachusetts Glad to hear they both got married and are happy, I hope they got out of TWI ! Among the believers in that area/time were....Steve and Cathy Cline, Dave and Cathy Daniels, Rich Vogt, Larry and Peter Newey, Woody Lawson.......I can remember a few times when that whole group went out to the local nightclubs...witnessing? (Lol) and dancing PS I had a crush on Margeurite
  18. Love the Way Ministry Video, you nailed them right on dude!

  19. I was in the Way Ministry in Massachusetts from around 1979 - 1983 Some of the people I remember knowing in the Way of Masssachusetts you might also know.... Berkshires Peter and Faye Granucci (had a leather shop in Great Barrington, MA) Steve and Cathy Cline (had a leather shop in Great Barrington, MA, later had a Music Shop in Pittsfield, MA) Rick Vogt ( had a Woodworking shop in Gt Barrington, MA) Dave and Cathy Daniels Woody Lawson (One wild and crazy guy!) Maguerite and Magdeline Smith Phil and Roberta Ashton (had a furniture reupholtering shop in Pittfield , just like Uncle Harry!) Larry and Peter Newey Nancy Schmulsy Worcester Area Foster and Teesh Smith ( Limb Leaders) Suzanne Ryan (Branch leader) Bernadette Willette ( Twig Leader) Jack Prendergrast Melanie Doggett Des Moines, Iowa (my WOW year) Jane Cossaboon Ross Vachon (I can remember lotsa faces but forget the names!) BTW I also know a bit about Lary Newey because I googled him....http://www.tfguild.org/workshops/gouldfarm/gouldjune.html apparently he recently was building barns in Massachusetts with his brother Phil Newey
  20. Was in from 1979 - 1983 Mostly in Pittsfield and Worcester MA, but went WOW in Des Moines, Iowa
  21. Steveo

    Hi Im Steveo

Hi ya'll, I took PFAL in 1979 in Pittfield MA the class was run by Peter Granucci Went WOW in 1980 (?) in Des Moines Iowa Went Wow vet in 1981 (Worcester, MA) I'm an Advanced Class grad I was in a Way Ministry Band called "Bema Bound" around 1981-82. The Limb Leader at that time was Foster Smith and my branch leader was Suzanne Ryan I left the Way in 1982 (maybe 1983?) because I felt too "constrained" and mind controlled. Since then I was in a Blues Band ( The Poorboys of Pittfield MA) and later in 1993 became a Licensed Praticval Nurse which kinda swallowed up my life since then. (I'm still a male nurse) I still believe I am a Christian and I even made a website around 2002 called Faith Insights. Its still can be seen using this "Wayback Machine (not related to Way Ministry, Lol)....http://web.archive.org/web/20020126202452/....com/index.html If you look at that website you can notice influences from the Way Ministries teachings... So I just wanted to say hey and its been AGES since Ive talked to anybody from the Way......(not that your still with the Way, ya know what I mean)
