  1. Yes I believe in giving, giving in love ( Im not usually laughing hysterically at the time) P.S. I was in the Way 4 years, giving an avergae of 15% of my income to a person who built his own luxurious "Waytican City" and then sat around sipping Drambuie, riding his motorcycles, using all the Ways Assets for his own enjoyment, then seducing all the women in his view , both married and unmarried, some he even drugged to have sex with! Now I think I should get a refund! P.S.S. Im not laughing now

  4. Thnx Roy. Thats the first time I heard Speaking in Tongues w/ interpretation, and Prophecy since I left the Way in 1984 You are pure of heart and your put your message out for all to see and hear! By the way Id like yours and others comments on this essay I wrote after leaving the Way, although much of it is based on the Ways books, Recieving the Holy Spirit, I didnt mention the Way in it because I dont want people to get mixed up in a manipulative cult. But it covers all the scriptures I had in my heart on this subject....http://speakingintongues.faithweb.com/ Roy plz message me back with your opinion...
  5. An interesting sermon it really got me thinking... Heres one thought I had.....people are just not smart enough to embrace the full spectrum and teaching of the Bible! So...they form different denominations....sometimes they are not even aware that actually their denominations believe in many things in common! But most people in the church do not take the time to study and find out the common beliefs of the different groups, and to have a full braod spectrum knowledge of this sort is rare indeed! One guy I know that is good at multi denominational knowledge is Hank Hannegraaf But as for me, I'd say be master of LOVE and be not many masters of theolgy (James 3:1) , for in many things we all make mistakes, but lets not make a mistake in LOVE
  6. To be more specific, I love the way you laid out a lot of the characteristics of Gods Love, and how His love is for everybody, so we should love everybody too! I am especially sensitive to when I see kids ( or grownups) being bullies towards someone, it offends Christs love and I always have to say something and remind people to love like God loves, often they get mad at me, saying I am too forgiving, but I cnat help i, thats the love of God in me and I cant stop loving people, especially those who are hurting and lonely
  7. Well said Roy! That was a great introspective and complete covering of the subject of love But can you answer me one thing...Is it true that love feels like an itch in your heart that you just can't scratch?
  8. Awesome topic! I am also tryin to digest all the insightful responses. I can only say for myself that even though I left the Way, my mind often uses "Way Logic" in response to many things... Examples .... "Aw hes just an unbeliever" "Serves them right, they're off the Word!" "Oh oh, those people are obviously born of the wrong seed" "I can tell that guy is wrongly dividing the Word!" "I wonder if a devil spirit is causing this situation?" "I better just keep speaking in tongues as I envision deliverance from this situation" "Aw man I'm way in debt, I should have been "tithing" and this never would have happenned!" I could go on and on but you get my point....We should have our own class or topic that "dispels" Way teachings/doctrines and allows/ helps people to begin thinking in a non Cult way
  9. Actually I agree with you in much of this. Organized religion is greatly just "stuff" that people say and do, take for example the pastor of Obamas, Reverend Wright ( Reverend Wrong, Lol) He just spouts out stuff and makes it up as he goes along, all with a "chip" on his shoulder and hostility towards those groups he hates. I feel its better to love people and be nice to them, I do this at work a lot and people notice it! They all have a good intuition as to who is a nice comnsiderate person of good will. And....as for God....I believe in God yes....but...I believe His ways are high above ours, and to ascibe to Him human motivations, and human chatracteristics is silly ( ex. Kennith Copeland said "God is 6 foot tall and has a white beard and very large hands", Lol) My life has been rock and rolled a lot too....I had heart surgery last year AND my Mom died too which was very painful for me. Its at times like these when I get that "true religion" and in my private life cry out to God. I feel this is a legitimate way approach God, as our creator, our source of help, and the Great Spirit that will guide us home when we die, that is my belief, and also my experience so many times over esp. in my job as a male nurse, as I sit with the dying patient, thats where we turn, thats our hope and our comfort.
  10. I know I might cause a bit a stir with this site, but..I'm hooked on it and I check it out ewvery day! I also listen to the radio show every chance I get! .........http://www.coasttocoastam.com/ Also...that Wold Newton stuff is a hoot! Whoda thought?
  11. I watched and loved the Video about "Remembrance Day" It really bout brought tears to my eyes.

  12. Linda Z... Sorry to hear you had so much trouble! If I was there Id try and fix your door, and Id work on a plan to avoid future lockouts.... Just glad to hear that you eventually made it back in...but next time...plz call 911...thats what the cops get paid for ya know, I bet they woulda got ya back in, maybe broke the door ya, but it appears you waited 3+ hours, I wouldnt want ya to go through that again, if fact call the cops now while your safe inside, and ask em that same thing. Or....call a good skilled locksmith and tell em the problem and see if they have some as yet unthought of solution to this chronic problem
  13. I honestly dont know what my ex twig leader and and Branch Leader said about me because I left so abruptly. I did wander into twig a few times after that but it was never the same. I met my ex twig leader one more time, she bummed $100 off me on the spot! Afterwards I never got these kind of threats leveled towards me, I did however get labeled as being "tripped out" but that never bothered me, Ive been called worse. Now I just feel sorry for them, all these gung ho people have left the way, and the ministry has been decapitated and now even refuses to mention Victor Paul Weirwille or Larry Craig Martindale on their website at all! Perhaps I was lucky to never had gone into the Way Corps because it seems the pressure and mind control was so much stronger there....am I right?
  14. Steveo

    Hi Im Steveo

My name is pronounced... ' Stee Vee Oh I played guitar in the band and I accompanied the lovely singers/vocalists Suzanne Ryan and Bernadette Willette I do have one song available to hear but it is not of very good quality and it is an "original" song due to copyrite rules on the music site I posted it...it is called "Who is like God" and heres a link....http://www.soundclick.com/bands/default.cfm?bandID=151284 You mentioned Richard Cunnigham and wondered how he tiurned out after all these years, I hear that 80% of the Way Ministry people have left the Way, so he probably has too. The guy I sponsored in the Corps have left the Way! I guess the fallout from all the scandals have basically hit the Way very hard, although I noticed they still have a website but fail to mentioned Dr Weirwille at all!
  15. Great insight! I agree with you I never thought about it that way, but your right, these people went out with hardly anything and laid there lives on the line for God, they deserve praise and respect! They sacrificed bodily and financial comfort for the spreading of Gods Word and the knowledge of the gifts/manifestations of the Holy Spirit. I just never thought that Dr Weirwille was sitting back taking it easy and sipping Drambuie. But now in light of Joh Lynns letter, I think thats an accurate picture
  16. Yea I have an account on Second Life....heres a picture of me being a DJ!

    Coast of Mass

Sounds great! And also a little scary that theres so few left....we really should be better stewards of the whales and their habitat
  18. Reminds me of the old Woody Allen quote.... "I would believe in God, if when I talked to Him he would just let me know he's there....Maybe just clear his throat or something...." OK when I get realistic in my mind, here are the bottom line reasons why I believe in God..... * Ok so you have this expanding Universe/Multiverse going all the way back to the "Big Bang" But if you go back further yet....what existed before the Big Bang? If nothing...then what got it all started? * I look at the world and the stars and heaven, and especially when I look at places un molested by man, there is a random and intense beauty that speaks of a master artist at work, a perfectly interdependent, and infinitely layered system, that we are only just beginning to understand.........the universe/multiverse is awesomely beautiful, glorious, just, lawful, with meaning and language of its own that we can only scratch the surface of at this time. I recently saw some quality photos of the Earth, Moon, and Sun from space and it was incredibly, awesomely glorious....OMG I could go on and on... :)
  19. Dot can you give me an idea of what to buy>?? I usually spend $120 a week on groceries and its really getting higher every week :( I did a "search" on the Aldi site and theres not one near Orlando Florida, however there are a few "Save a Lots" But my question is...what am I supposed to buy for $75 that will last 2 weeks? BTW I am on a ADA/Cardiac diet (low sugar/low cholesterol)
  20. Yea...kinda makes me think he was a "wolf in sheeps clothing" But we all saw clues....didnt we? P.S. I was in a big meeting once before it started and VPW was SCREAMING at a cameraman who wasn't following him properly, I pity the poor guy who was running that camera...VPW really laid into him...
  21. I am thinking that this person is consciuosly ignoring all thats happenned in the Way. I clicked on the link that said "contact us" and wrote him a long message with a link http://www.swiftlynx.com/beyondTheWayInternational/ I told him I was curious about his response and if he does Ill post it here... Im just hoping that hes not an adulterer too after the type that VPW was!
  22. Minicorpse thnx for telling your story and I am pleased that you are getting healed and are working as a teacher Im glad you resisted the mind controlling and Im glad you got away from the Way people. I know the loss of your parents to the Way and theyre lack of support for you is bad, and I wish there were some way I could help you! Just remember that the Way was WRONG, you were RIGHT! As for myself and Im sure many in this community, we will help ya as much as possible, please feel free to message me or email me anytime. I spent 4 years in the way (from about age 19 to 23) so I basically was a young adult. But it really also for me took a miraculous effort to pull myself away from the Way home and go back to my hometown, so I know what an effort it musta been for you too So anyways best wishes on your freedom path!
