  1. Check out Keith Urban's "You're Not My God". I don't know which CD it's on, but it's a really cool song. It's about money not being his God.
  2. Thanks, Rascal. I'd much rather blame the fiasco on product inefficiency than pilot error. :D-->
  3. Jellystone is a privately owned park, so camping rules may not be the same as state and national parks. I may try the Jiffy Pop again, but this time I'll bring a really, long handle to shake it with. -->
  4. George, We don't mind a feller buttin' in at all. Why, all us womenfolk know sometimes you got to wait until the menfolk slow up a tad afore ya can catch 'em and tie 'em down.
  5. Jellystone would be fine and probably have more for kids to do. Keep in mind it will be a few miles away from the park itself. If people really want to stay within the park, you can go to foreverlodging.com and check out lodging in the hotel or the cabins they have at the park. Let me know if I can help set anything up. If I dont' end up camping there, it's certainly close enough for me to get up there during the days.
  6. Cave City is about an hour south of Louisville, right off I-65. Of course, Mammoth Cave is out in the country, another 30 minutes or so, but it's not a hard drive. Louisville is probably the closest major city to fly into. Glasgow, KY is within 5 or so miles of Cave City, and I'm pretty sure most bus lines go through there, if not Cave City itself. Bowling Green is about 45 minutes south of Cave City and does have a small airport, but you'd probably fly into Louisville or Nashville and catch a puddle jumper if you want to fly in that close. Bowling Green also has the Corvette Museum. I would recommend making a decision as soon as possible, as that time of year will be near peak fall season and the cabins will fill up pretty quickly. As I remember, there are quite a few cabins around Mammoth Cave and a nice lodge there too. Couldn't find one official site for Mammoth Cave, but there are several good ones.
  7. Cave City? You're talking my neck of the woods. If I can do anything to help, pt me. I can drive up and check out locations. Mammoth Cave is awesome. There are also enough cheesy tourist attractions and souvenier shops to satisfy even the most discriminating traveler. Wigwam Village is pretty neat. Individual rooms shaped like wigwams. My parents honeymooned there 40+ years ago.
  8. I hear you, niKa. I'm very, very thankful for what I have and I think both my sweetie and I have been lonely long enough to realize what a treasure we have in each other. And yes, you do have every right to be as happy as you are. Sometimes it's not a matter of finding love; sometimes it's a matter of recognizing love when it comes into your life.
  9. My condolences. I guess Snuckles is reaching for the stars now.
  10. Ok, we had the thread about women in their 50's getting divorced. I'd like to hear from some of the women who got married a little later in life. I have been dating a wonderful man since January. We went to high school together, graduated in the same class, and never met until last November. Although we talk about the missed opportunities the last 25+ years, I don't think I would have been ready for a serious relationship until now. Of course, being in a crazy cult for a few years, and then an offshoot, didn't help my odds, either. Seems to me women who get married later go into the marriage with a better sense of who they are as individuals, and may be less likely to divorce because of a loss of "self". I want a friend, companion, lover, and partner. I don't need a man to "complete" me. I feel fairly complete on my own. I do, however, value what my sweetie brings to my life and hopefully I bring the same things to his. We've already made a lot of discoveries about ourselves, now it's time to make discoveries about each other and just have an adventure with life. I don't know of any specific research done on this subject, but would like to hear if anyone agrees with me.
  11. If you're talking about Franklin, NC, I've been there several times. I went gem mining there. It's a nice place, very small. I was in Chattanooga over the 4th holiday and enjoyed it. I absolutely love Asheville, NC. It's a beautiful town and there are so many interesting things to do, as well as hang out in the mountains. I don't know about the senior population, but I would guess it has it's fair share of retirees. Should be several places for RV's, too, since lots of people travel in the mountains.
  12. As recently as 3 years ago, Ralph Graham was living in Nashville. Joe Fair was there when I lived there back in the late 90's, but I don't know if he's moved since then. Both are doing well. Ralph had a heart attack about 3 years ago but is doing fine.
  13. I loved Vacation Bible School. Of course, being able to wear shorts and jeans may have had something to do with it. Really wasn't much "schooling," but I got to hang out with lots of other kids from my school and church, and play games and sing songs and do crafts. It was one less boring week in my summer vacation.

  16. That is a phenomenal song. I heard it on a CD of various artists used in Momentus. I don't believe any of the artists had anything to do with Momentus, it was just the songs being used at a particular time in the training to evoke a certain emotional response from people in the training.
  17. Just Another Woman in Love - Anne Murray I'm strong, I'm sure, I'm in control, a lady with a plan. Believing the world's a neat little package I hold in my hand. I've got it together they call me the girl who knows just what to say and do. Still I stumble and fall, run into a wall, cause when it comes to you (chorus) I'm just another woman in love a kid out of school a fire out of control just another fool. You touch me and I'm weak like a feather in the wind and I can't wait to feel you touching me again. With you I'm just another woman, just another woman in love. So pardon me if I should stare and tremble like a child. That wanting me look all over your face is driving me wild. I'm just what you make me can't wait till you take me and set all my feelings free. I know that you can, so come be my man, tonight I want to be Just another woman in love a kid out of school a fire out of control just another fool. You touch me and I'm weak like a feather in the wind and I can't wait to feel you touching me again. With you I'm just another woman, just another woman in love.

    ...exciting and new...
  19. Gina El Salvador on the Ron Mexico site. Maybe I'm cyber-related to Raf.
  20. I saw him in the Baltimore area a about 8 years ago. He and Cathy divorced and he has remarried. Had a little home fellowship at the time. It wasn't really connected with any offshoots, it was just him and a few other ex-wayfers.
  21. Congrats! Will any of the ceremonial details involve Sudo doing his sacred tree dance? -->
  22. Clearwater, I've been waiting to respond until I had a little chunk of time to share my experiences with personal prophecy. As far as the accountability thing, I know that they tape the prophecies as much as they possibly can, so the individual can go over them if he missed something during the actual prophecy, so that helps determine whether or not it is genuine. I had not heard of such a thing until I got involved with CES around 1996. It was a little weird to me, and I never completely understood the value (yeah, I know, I could have said profit) but I received and gave a number of personal prophecies during my time in CES. I can't say with any Biblical accuracy that it is right or wrong, but I believe like many others who have posted here, that it certainly can be a crutch, like the "Psychic Christian Friends Network." I really questioned the legitimacy of personal prophecy when someone kind of high up in CES gave me a personal prophecy about a prophetic music ministry for me. I have never had any spiritual motivation or inspiration within me to pursue that avenue, and did not get any "confirmation" whatsoever about that particular prophecy, and actually told that person the same thing. I think they wanted someone to step into that role for the enrichment of CES. On the other hand, I was involved a few years ago with a singles gathering in which there was personal prophecy and it was very powerful. Everyone prophecied and gave words of prophecy. What was so cool about it was that no one got a prophecy about getting married, or finding a mate, or anything else generic that you might expect to hear or say in a singles group. That kind of led me to believe that people were endeavoring to hear the voice of the Lord, and not things that they thought someone wanted to hear. As far as Jeff answering your question, I'm afraid all you'll get from him is a hearty "God Bless You, Brother!" and a link to a tape, or book, or class, or Sower article..... -->
  23. I heard Michael Keaton (Batman) took the class. He's a Buddhist now.
  24. I believe it's Michael Fertitta, and yes, he is still in Charlotte. He has been involved with Barry Mello's church for several years and still lives the gospel to the best of his ability. He (probably) has always had a gift of witnessing and evangelizing and is always taking people into his home, giving them jobs, and sharing Christ's love. Good guy.
