  1. How would I know what you said in your report, other than what you attested to in posts on this thread? Do I care what you wrote in your report? No- why would I care?. You told us enough of the reasons for us to draw our own conclusions. Pre-judged your guilt? I didn't prejudge, nor did I say you were guilty. Do you feel guilty? Maybe you revealed your report in order to coax Rocky into attacking you, maybe you were being altruistic on Paw's behalf. Only you know the answer to that. Will I be the first? No, I have no desire to feed your quest against Rocky. For all I know that has been done privately, maybe not. This whole thread would have been better handled that way between you and Rocky, or between Rocky and Paw. For all I know, the two of them have worked it out, and I have no way of knowing that either. Enough said, in the great scheme of things, this thread is an iota. :-) or is it a new "thread that won't end". ~HAPe4me A candle loses nothing of its light by lighting another candle.
  2. yeah, funny how doing a program got twisted into a fulltime volunteer slave position for life. Thanks for your kindness Groucho. You da man, even if you did cop out on your lifetime corpse commitment. LOL I loved being told I needed to take time off work and spend quality time with God, and oh yes, while I was at it, come up and help a branch coordinator fix up a cabin he found in the mountains that he was figuring on squatting in, in hopes nobody would notice. Oh yeah, I am in construction. Funny that the tire salesman guy wasn't told the same thing. ~HAPe4me A candle loses nothing of its light by lighting another candle.
  3. I can't believe I read the whole da#mn thing. Oh my wretched life! so what it boils down to is Zix reported Rocky's thread because it was in the wrong forum? Omigawd. what a serious breach, certainly deserving of MULTIPLE double clicks of the yellow triangle thingy. Oh wait, Zix NOW says he reported it because of the use of the term Wingnut directed towards a think tank, not a greasepot poster. Certainly THAT has to be reported. MAN!, what if he had used the wingnut's version of the same slam, "dummycrat". Serious offenses indeed. Now, zix is getting apologized to and praised for continuing this thread until rocky apologizes to someone else in public for an affront that isn't Zix's to deal with? AAAARGHH Let it be known, I like Excat, I don't particularly like Zix, and ya know what? It doesn't matter one bit! I don't know either one of them personally and they may be totally dif in person. We may find that life existed once on Mars, we may or may not find bacterial weapons in Iraq, it is a presidential election year, jobs are hard to find, our kids are growing older and into their own, rape is not only a TWI control thing but is revealed in numerous areas of society, people die of hideous diseases we can't spend the money to find cures for, ............... And we have a 10 page thread attacking or defending Rocky, or Zix. Unfrigginbelievable. Try getting ten pages on some important matter. good luck. Hmm, I wonder how long this thread would continue if Zix AND Rocky were banned from the thread. A candle loses nothing of its light by lighting another candle.
  4. tref- OK, I thought maybe I was missing a few pages in this thread or something. It seemed to me that you had consistently addressed the topic of the thread, and avoided (likely with a good deal of self control) the tendencies of some here to succumb to name-calling and rhetoric. for that matter, I really haven't seen the "sound-bites" he mentions. ~HAPe4me A candle loses nothing of its light by lighting another candle.
  5. Zix, hmm, now I AM confused. I can't recall Trefor calling anyone here a gaybasher, let alone you. What are you saying ? and why are you planting that charge against Trefor? there were indeed lots of names slung around at various posters, but I can't find where trefor was a slingee. Oh well, I s'pose you have a reason to think you were called a gaybasher. Never mind. ~HAPe4me A candle loses nothing of its light by lighting another candle.
  6. (checking to see which forum this thread is in!) so nice to be in a forum where such civil discourse is appreciated. goodness! A candle loses nothing of its light by lighting another candle.

  8. Ok Steve- fair enough- Pace/Pax/Peace I vote for you to be a mod. I hear the pay is real good. :D--> HAPe4me A candle loses nothing of its light by lighting another candle.
  9. uh, ok I will take your word for it, you or Paw are free to move it. Does that mean your Scam Alert thread belongs somewhere else too? and the Virus alert? How about chat threads? Just asking I do NOW se the "Forum Tips" page down at the bottom, maybe move it to there. But it hasn't been posted to since Dec 27th, so it not real active. It seemed to me that enough people who regularly occupy GS had no idea how to do it (4 out of the 6 in chat at the time as a small sampling) that it would fit here fine. Lots of us rarely go to the Computer Tips place unless we are having a computer problem. Since Private topics are a GS issue not a computer issue. it seemed logical to me. I never saw the other forum until now. EXCUUUUUSE ME!- move it. Paw- thanks for the info. I figured if some of us deleted our own once we knew how, it makes less for you to do, and occupies less space on the server or whatever that thingy is called. You da man! (hehe, I didn't even start using PTs until a month ago, but knew I had a couple that were just occupying space. ~HAPe4me A candle loses nothing of its light by lighting another candle.
  10. The private topics in your "My Space" section are a great tool, and I have enjoyed them. However I couldn't figure out how to delete older ones that were no longer active. In chat i asked the question, and a wise person there found the answer. Several of us were happy to get an answer so I thought maybe a thread to bring up the subject would be an idea. You can delete Private Topics which YOU have started. Open the topic, then click on Tools at the top of the page. There you will find the delete button. I am told that this deletes the topic from your box and from the other participant's boxes. The only way to delete topic from your list which another has started is for them to delete it. At least that is what it looks like as I sift thru them. Correct me if I am wrong. ~HAPe4me A candle loses nothing of its light by lighting another candle.

  12. uh are you guys talking about some other chatroom than the normal GS one? A candle loses nothing of its light by lighting another candle.
  13. Thanks Matilda for more names. I remember Ernie D. Yeah Orbin B!!!!!!!, major great guy. I'd love to say hello to him. it was Steve Kunkel right? Becky's little brother was Gary, not mike though. He played acoustic guitar with a style like Bob Dylan. Before VP came to town, Bo Reahard stopped in to make sure things were in order for his visit. We were up all night cleaning, cause it wasn't good enough. (He was right) To Bo's credit, he was up with us working, not like some we have heard that said "you- go do this" I was totally embarassed when while taking docvic to a meeting, I reached into the jacket that I hadn't worn in 2 years and found a hash pipe. I just looked at him and laughed and said I hadn't worn the coat in quite awhile. And of course there eventually came Gerald, and the fun was over because now there were real corpse to run things instead of us young, naive, ex-hippies.. But before that!------oh we had a great time. HAPe4me A candle loses nothing of its light by lighting another candle.
  14. SimonZ- yep, its the memories like this that I come to GS to get. The rest of the wrangling that happens here is all in fun as far as I am concerned. I imagine after that incident with Dave he pulled back his hair with both hands and said "far out". Debbie's last name was H*rm*nn. Their marriage didn't last, but you had lots of competition for that little cutie's affection. Debbie had another girlfriend Nancy W*ss*lh*ft. Another fine woman. It is nice toi hear from folks back then who were in the same circles, but I do look the same except my hair is shorter. What happened to you? LOL oh yeah, it HAS been 32 years. ~HAPe4me A candle loses nothing of its light by lighting another candle.
  15. JohnnyLingo- I have a question about the C. Young you mentioned in the first post. I sent you a private topic thingy. ~HAPe4me A candle loses nothing of its light by lighting another candle.
  16. simon- I remember something I went to in Marinette or was it Beloit in 72 or 73? The details are lost in time. Yep, "Howie something" is actually me. He was totally flipped for a girl from Waukegan, J.Kr*j**ki. (now her last name is P@v@ica I think. Still in from what someone here said.???) I also remember a Mr. B. That is all the name I ever knew him by. There were tons of others, if you jogged my memory. I expect we do know each other at least vaguely maybe more. The Waukegan, /Antioch area was led in 72 or so by John D*smo*d. a tall blond Jesus look-a-like guy. I think he went on to be a deprogrammer or something. I remember coming to a Way home in Antioch and having a really fine deep dish pizza! I think I didn't lead Peoria until the end of 72 or early 73. We had Wows there until August of 72, and the only really speratul person, Becky B. ( later F*g*t) in our first class left to go WOW in August of 72 so that left me or Dave P*tt*t. I think I won the coin flip, or maybe I told him I would get his guitar out of the pawn shop if he would fade to the back LOL. Did you come down to our "first Illinois Limb meeting" Christmas 73? with VPW and Ted, Mardell and Claudette? I still have napkins from that. HAPe4me A candle loses nothing of its light by lighting another candle.
  17. HEHE Wrestlenot! Hope you get rid of that nagging cough. Mercy, I didn't even know there were Wayfers in Peoria after 86. I went there several times a year to see my mom , until just recently. She lived up in the north end of town. Back in my TWI days, I lived down near Bradley for some of it. A candle loses nothing of its light by lighting another candle.
  18. ah yes, Peoria! I took the first PFAL class there way back in 72. When were you there Wrestle? ~HAPe4me

  22. hmm, I seem to remember there were some folks in Beloit, Beloit, (sounds like pennies in the toilet). that would be 72 to 75ish. HAPe4me
