    Gay Teenagers

damn practitioners of drunkeness should not be allowed to have a state endorsed marriage or go to churches either, but that might step on some pretty big toes. aaaarghh ~HAP

    Gay Teenagers

Jbaryuks thinks the kid has a weakness from this path they have "chosen". Hmm, who CHOOSES to be gay and to put up with this abuse? It would take a pretty strong person not a weak one to choose to be gay. Choose.... yeah right, like hmm, should I turn left or right at the next intersection. Its so simple..... yuck. heck, for that matter, many here at the cafe are divorced, have committed adultery and other of the "sins". what is it that makes this homosexual "sin" so different from the other so-called sins. Why is homosexuality a weakness, but the others are just part of ones life? Heck, we even elect these other sinners to national office. Next the fundies will be after the rest of us sinners with the same vengeance. I dunno, it seems preposterous to me that the likes of James Dobson and his Focus on the Family nuts have such blind eyes to issues of much more consequential importance. Outadafog- teach your daughter to have pride, by demonstrating the pride you have in her. I am sure you do that already, but I wanted to say it. She is not weak, and she does not have a "problem" that needs to be corrected. Pace, pax, etc. -HAP

    The Chatroom

ok, this time I tried registering as HAP, I got the confirm mail, then I got a temporary password in another mail. I went to the link, signed in with the temp password, changed to my own password, and then got a email confirming that changed password. HOWEVER! when I click the "enter Chat Now" it takes me to the old room sign in, (or is it the new room which looks like the old). Anyway, I get into the room, but I am the only one there that I can see. It is mean to play tricks on HAP

    Monies For School

the FAFSA form itself is all that is needed for pell grants and government backed student or parent loans. It is generally required by any public university as partor all of their student aid applications, and in many cases, it is the only form needed. To complete FAFSA you will however need to get your tax returns done, (both parents and student). The earlier the better. ~HAP

  16. in this case, it is likely that the olive branch would be corrupted into a spear and used as a weapon against Mr. Schiavo. End this circus and lets watch the Pope's last days for the next month or two. ~HAP
  17. for that matter Jonny, we don't know what was in the heart and mind of Michael, or the Schindlers, but folks have certainly made some harsh judgements based on their limited and in some cases erroneous "knowledge" I am with Shellon on this one, DO THE PAPERWORK and have it written, then if someone wants to slander you with hideous accusations, at least you have the paperwork to prove your spouse's intent at the moment the papers were signed. ~HAP

    Studs

I recommend buying an electronic stud finder if you often find yourself lookng for these critters, they are now cheap and some have additional abilites such as finding electrical wires and plumbing. (both are way more dangerous to encounter than the wood studs). Mine will also locate studs in plaster walls, which the thumping technique may not be good at accomplishing. HOWEVER, if this is a one time need, you might try locating the nails in the baseboards for a clue. The suggestion of a small hole is always a good idea. Finally, there are "hollow wall" fasteners that may make the need for finding a stud less common. My favorite for most medium weight tasks is the screw-in fasteners. They are made of white plastic, have a point to get them started, and coarse threads which allow them to screw in with a phillips screwdriver. They are quite adequate for almost any weight picture. Fasteners are rated on their packaging by their ability to hold weight. when you later decide to move the picture, do not remove the fastener. just screw it in a little further (not all the way into the wall)and fill the recess with vinyl spackle paste. ~HAP
  19. The descriptions I have read about this method of dying follows very closely to what I saw as we stayed by my mother's bed as she passed away. The actual cause of death is dehydration. The body organs begin to shut down one by one. Blood circulation becomes limited in the extremities. those body parts turn blueish and gray. There is a calmness. There is peace, for the patient and for the family. I am thankful this is the way it went for us. In our case, we were permitted to provide pain pills, however the last 48 hours, even these were difficult to administer, and were seldom given. It was apparent that they were no longer needed by my mother, but we tried, more for our own comfort than anything else, "just in case". I taught my siblings, "Peace, Peace, wonderful Peace", which we sang to her the last 15 minutes. Mother smiled as she drifted towards her new address. I know it is not always this way, some must struggle more, OFTEN because of their circumstances, or often because of an unwillngness by family members to let it go. I pray the death of your loved ones could be as calm as my isolated but nevertheless true and available experience. Thanks, I needed to share that. Peace, HAP
