  1. Okay, here's a stab at it: <img src=http://www.images.com/someimage.gif> Replace the www.images.com/someimage.gif with the actual URL of the image that you want to include. Except for that, type it in EXACTLY the way that you see it here.
  2. If you have an MP3 file stored in a place accessible to the internet, just post a link to it. Then whoever wanted to could click the link and hear the music.
  3. Sure am, Gingie, what can I do to you, er, for you?
  4. Open angle bracket " img src="http://type.your.url.here.com/whatever.jpg" then close angle bracket ">" Don't include the double quotes with the angle brackets, but DO include the double quotes with the src= part.
  5. Okay, Sheliak, I know exactly the episode you're talking about, "You humans don't negotiate, you gibber." And the empath, now I remember. Thanks!
  6. Who were the Celiac? I don't remember them. And who was the empath on TOS?
  7. Record machine? I always thought that it was "wrecking machine"
  8. I'm surprised no one has mentions "Roseanne", gawd, that screeechy voice reminded me of Rozilla Rivenfart's voice. If Rosepig would have spoken with a southern sicky sweet accent, it would have been close enough to Rozilla's to have made my skin crawl.
  9. To deny emotions is to say that God is an idiot. God is the one that dreamed us up, He put into us what He wanted to, and emotions is a huge part of what makes us up. Emotions are necessary and vital. To put them all in a trunk and lock them away makes no sense whatsoever. It's like trying to wear size 5 shoes on your size 11 feet. It can be done, but it's very painful. But after a while, you don't notice the pain any more.
  10. That show with John (I'm as big as a house) Goodman was "Normal, Ohio". Dare I say it, another really bad show, but so many people loved it - Doctor Who
  11. Krista, I know exactly what you mean about cracking the shell, about being empty. I still feel that way about birthdays, and some holidays. Have you ever noticed that it's difficult to stay angry when you are smiling? That's because we are conditioned (by being human) to equate smiling with being happy. When you are happy, you smile. The reverse works, too. If you want to cheer up, smile - reaaallly smile. You'll soon start to feel it on the inside, unless it's just a super rotten day. Soooo, my point is: if you want to become more emotional, fake the emotions, at least at first. They will become real, because we are conditioned that way. It's been proven to work. Try it! It will cost you nothing to try!
  12. I'll apologize beforehand, but at the top of my list would be 2 shows . . . "Awful and Windy", er, I mean, "Oprah Winfrey" and "The View"
  13. well, someone ate the spam offa me, er, my email address
  14. As a software engineer is walking along, he looks down and sees a frog. The frog says, "Ahem. Excuse me! If you kiss me, I'll turn into a beautiful princess and make you very happy!" He picks up the frog and puts it into his pocket. A while later, he takes out the frog and the frog says, "Hey! Kiss me! I'll turn back into a beautiful princess, and we'll have wild times together!" He puts the frog back in his pocket. A while later he takes the frog out, and the frog says, "Kiss me, and we'll make love all night long every night!" He puts the frog back in his pocket. A while later he takes it out again, and the frog asks, "What is wrong with you? why won't you kiss me?" He says, "I work for Microsoft, I don't have time for a girlfriend. A talking frog, though, is way kewel!"
  15. I recently had a communication with a person who told me my email address as listed here doesn't work. Well, of course it doesn't - I added "_NOSPAM" right before the "@yahoo.com" part of the address. Please keep in mind that if someone lists an email address, and it contains something like "_nospam", leave out that part when sending an email to that person, and it should get through just fine. My real email address, of course, is "studmuffin@multiple.o.com" but if that one doesn't work, try "stevelwall99@yahoo.com".
  16. Actually, RottsyVampirella, Falwell was quoting Time and Newsweek, who were quoting the gay community.
  17. We're all asleep, yes, but thanks for playing. Johnny, what is her lovely parting gift?
  18. Everyone in the Star Wars casts was a witch or wizard, donchaknow.
  19. Ahh, James Herriott, "All Creatures Great and Small", quite a series of books, that. Well written, and entertaining. I usually don't care for biographies, but he has a down-home style that I enjoy.
  20. Because you can set your profile so that no one can see when you are present.
  21. test and retest well, whaddaya know, there it is. What I think you probably did, Finz, is you may have typed in the URL incorrectly. I'm using the www.greasespotcafe.com/forum-images copy of dolphin.gif, and it's working fine. Just make sure that you start with http:// and type in everything exactly.
  22. test again you CAN have an animated avatar! use the following url (just copy and paste it into the "custom avatar" text box): http://faculty.chi.devry.edu/swall/images/dolphin2.gif When you get space of your own on a web server, copy the gif file there, then update your profile to point to that one.
