I think TWI was just like any other church. A read of the Old Testament sure shows the same. One day God's chosen are great the next they were more evil than all that came before them. The leadership tried to shield us from life as it is. Life is very messy. And shielding us from the truth was a way of control. Their special way of believing was so not powerful. And all their revelation. If the twig guy didn't hear God then the branch guy and so on to the top. You mean VP wasn't listening to save those people. There in lies the rub, cult teaching equals the same old no power church. Same sheet different twig.

What I was trying to say without the TWI bashing O was sore lacking because of lack of knowledge. To walk and lean i had to widen my view. Learn and love from a greater point. not that I have achieved but have moved to a much kinder part of life. I might be nuttie but I feel good about it.

One more basic thing that was done if you don't believe the way i believe your out. If the hand would say I'm not part of the body kind of deal So if you were not lock step with their line you could not be part of the body. All other Christians were out the loop and not part of the body. I know they gave that special thing the household and family gag me stupid religious lie. So yes basic stuff like love God and love your brother or was it love God the way I say and be a thorn to them.

Yes TWI was very narrow minded to say the least. VP handling certain books on his special night was lacking. Spending 3 hour on a coma that really taught me to love God. Maybe he did his best I don't know. I continue my quest. I had a great a ha moment today. Great books I have read a few of those. I think it is up to each of us to search out our own salvation and God will open the eyes of our understanding. Something about those that huger and thirst. Not to take from your topic the book Prayer by Phillip Yancy has open my eyes in a big way.

Maybe their was the fall of man and because of it things happen. One kind of depression is cause by chemicals not right. This whole world is not right. I think you would have to change a lot of things to make life around us peach keen. Or in us. Age of a minister has much to do with the was they view things of this life. A you unmarried minister is going to tell me how to raise a kid. Right. A person that has a tainted view of the devil is going to say oh they are possessed. Right. The quick easy answer. Itching ears sounds good. Sounds like a broken cistern that wholes no water and brings no deliverance. Religion that is to big of a load to carry.

In Cajun country we don't have ground hogs. We do have his cousin a nutria. Looks the same but ours lives in the water. Boudreau is the best cajun name you can have. So on Feb 2 we have our Boudreau see if he has a shadow. If no mai we go crawfishing. And make a big gumbo.

It's been bad here in the deep south to. Yesterday i had to cut my grass. Today riding around I had to put the A/C on be cause it was to darn hot. it was 73 at lunch when I checked had to get a fresh t shirt because I was all sticky. We did get a lot of rain in jan. Lot less mosquitos because of the 27 degree morning we had a few weeks ago. Thank God Boudreau the nutria rat did not see his shadow and spring is here. The willows have put out there leaves. Some of the oaks are springing fort. Some azaleas are peeking out. By the way what is that word yall used SNOW?

Without a doubt corps night was the most boring of all. Sitting there acting like you were excited for 3 hours then breaking into twigs to discuss one word that was handled. VP threw in the thing in India where the guy said I don't believe in you Jesus. He was healed. You can turn on the tv and see people getting healed never mentioning God. It was a great hook. Setting me up to believe in a false God Believing.
