hmmmm.... I am not sure on how or if to respond... I am single, ex-wayfer etc... Been in relationships that didn't work out for one reason or another. In the relationships that didn't work out since I have been "out", I can honestly say that it was not due to any type of "religious" beliefs or doctrine. Of course, I was just a lowly "believer" while I was in.

Chef, 368!!! WOW!!! Back in the early 80's, I was a cook in a small family owned restaurant for a couple years. Other than helping out in the kitchen for various functions, I haven't cooked professionally since then. The most I cook for now is about 45. These are people in my office. I usually make a twice cooked stew. Mostly, I just cook for myself...

Chef, Concerning knives and cookware, I am sure that you know much more than me. I will go play with my Henckles 4 star knives and Cuisinart non-stick stainless cookware in my little kitchen... ;)--> (I just made it to "short order cook" over 20 years ago)

A gas grill could always be handy... You can also get an extra propane tank. A deck of cards and a few "board games" to pass away the time. battery powered lanterns (sporting goods stores should have a good selection). walkie talkies could also be handy to have if phone lines and/or cell towers aren't working.

I haven't had any contact with anybody is currently in twi since I moved here.

I like my Henckles 4 star kitchen knife set. I am not going to give up my knife set! Chefs and cooks like any other tradesmen, have "tools of the trade". Knives are an essential tool for these professionals. As most good tradesmen know, you should use the proper tool for the proper job.
