I agree with Zixar's last post. I have had the pleasure of meeting RG. If he passes this way again I would enjoy hanging out with him some more. To comdemn or reccommend any group based on the actions of a few make as much sence as raceism . I am not part of CFF. I have enjoyed meeting a few people who are associated with CFF. I believe that there are both good and bad people in any group of people. It is not wise to be hap hazard with words such as "all" or "none". It is easier to make general statements than to speak specifically or to only speak of thing that you have direct knowledge of.

I also try to go visit my family (mother, grandmother, aunt, uncle etc...)in Utah. Of course, I am not sure if I would concider that a vacation [This message was edited by Zshot on July 19, 2002 at 14:32.]

On my vacations... I do what I want! I have stayed home and done home improvements. I also enjoy traveling. One of my favorite place to go are the National Parks. Since I live in Arizona, I enjoy going to the Grand Canyon. It is a 8 hour drive (give or take) from my house. In Flaggstaff there is an Armed Forces Recreactional Center (AFRS) that can be used by those who are serving in the military or retired military. The rates there are very good , and it is an hour's drive from the Canyon entrance.

Black Scorpion on the SCI-FI channel was terrible... It was like a Batman spoof... Poor plot... week acting... week supporting roles... The only redeeming quality of the show was the star (I don't remember her name) was cute in her black leather outfit

I was a wow with her 82-83 in Bossier City LA. I saw her in a chat room when eph320.com had a chat room... (this was a few years ago) She is married, 2 kids and living in WI. I hope that she is doing well and is happy. I would enjoy hearing from her again also.

Remember the episode where they had the beauty contest... as they were "training" the prof. had Mary Ann swim in the lagoon and he had a fishing line attached to the swimsuit... Then the swim suit was "reeled off"... Ahhhh, my favorite episide could have been sooo much better!!!

Someone (I did not recogonize the name) tried to send me the virus today. I would recommend that every one here should get a good virus scan for there computer.

Upon reading your post... I think you should be commended on your accomplishments You also brought up some valid points. Also, one of the things I like about you is that you can disagree with someone without being being disagreable.

I finally got around to reading this thread… I noticed that I was mentioned in the original post… I concur and appreciate Wacky’s, Garth’s and Hopefull’s posts. Yesterday was father’s day. I received no cards or phone calls that acknowledged the holiday. Sometimes I’m happy that I don’t have any children, at other time I wonder what it would be like to be a parent. Of course I am the happiest that I have no kids, is when I am at the store (any and all), I see (and hear) the behavior of some children. That behavior, IMO goes beyond that the child should be punished, to the point that the parents should be punished for allowing the child to get to that point. Wacky and others have brought up an interesting point that I will attempt to paraphrase… Some parents have lost (if they ever had) their own identity (of course parents are not exclusive either). The identity for some is limited to being a parent, part of a group, having a title etc… Some can never go beyond those identities to being their own person. Some people need the safety of a “group”, because a group can offer a “sense” of belonging and/or being needed. Even if this group is an informal group called “parents”. I have noticed that parents love to talk about “parenting” with other parents. Historically, Men have been identified with their jobs and Women have been identified as being “mommy”. For some, this may be all they want and/or need. I think that being without children gives some an opportunity to develop their own identity. This may sound very selfish, and perhaps it is… Being without children give you the opportunity to expand your own horizons, develop your own interests, pursue your own goals, and do things that you enjoy. Having children, you lose some the things mentioned above, for the simple reason, a good parent should have the needs of their child above some (if not most or all) personal needs. The health, safety, and protection of a child should be paramount in a parents thinking. I might babble some more on this some other time…

That seems pretty catty to me

On the button bar in my pop.. Because of the color scheme, the only way I can see whats on the button bar is to do a swipe with my mouse. I didn't see where to set the time of course I haven't had enough coffee this morning , Paw I hope ya didn't get rid of the waitress, I think she might me starting to like me
