  1. Gear followed in the foot steps of his mentor. VP plagiarized and Gear edited posthumously. Neither one could come up with an original thought if it saved their life. Both are trying to benefit from some one else's hard work.
  2. I remember sending my parents a copy of EW Bulinger’s book, to lend some credibility to VPW. Looking back, it is so amazing how the shyster VPW had us mesmerized into believing he was the Apostle. My parents didn’t buy into it. Can’t wait for Potato to provide more documented evidence revealing how VPW ripped off Stiles.
  3. After VP had established his flock, he would find other peoples material that contradicted the teachings of mainstream churches. He would make these critically important doctrines (any other doctrines invite devil spirits) thus keeping you from going anywhere else but Da Vunderful Vay. Trapped with no were to go making it next to impossible to leave. Well, until things started falling apart.
  4. JE Styles, BG Leanard and EW Bulinger come to mind all original sources for PFnAL. All cons start with a benefit. It is how they end that makes it a con. JE Styles, BG Leanard and EW Bulinger ended with dignity and honor. Besure as an honorable Christian you give credit where credit is due.
  5. Smacks with a sense of urgency that is required in every con job. The urgency was continued with the necessity of getting the "Word (class) Over the World" in a short period of time. Expanding the con. As with all con jobs they eventually unravel. True learning takes time. True relationships take time. No need to rush it unless you have a con going.
  6. I vaguely recall John S mentioning he had been an archeologist in the Mideast at one time. This gave him first hand experience with eastern history and culture. I may be wrong though.
  7. A little too much way babble for me. Too many WC expressed inappropriate anger under the guise of controlling their minds. JC was moved with compassion many times which lead to many miracles. He yielded his mind to the emotion where controlling his mind (as you put it) would have stopped the necessary action. Sadly, it did me many times. Sometimes it is the emotion that holds us true to our conviction. TWI only wanted us to have conviction to their benefit. Controlling the mind often meant having your mind controlled by TWI. TWI purged us of compassion by controlling our minds.
  8. There is a major difference between Christianity and Islam. Christianity went through a reformation to get it out of the clutches of medieval Roman Catholic Empire. This brought it back closer to it’s origins of the 1st century church. Islam’s origin is medieval and a reformation would only bring it deeper into the dark ages. The only hope for Islam is a free market system. Free-market enterprise is what started the reformation and might liberate the people of Islam. There are two sides to Islam. First, the conquer\convert by the sword. Once conquered and converted one must live peaceably together. That is the second side to Islam. Very similar to the Roman Catholic Empire before the reformation. Unfortunately with out a reformation, you can’t separate the first from the second. And Islam can’t have a reformation. Free market democracy is their only hope.
  9. What an excellent write-up and great job of putting into practice "luo" - "dismantle the works of the adversary" to "dismantle part by component part" the control scheme of TWI. Hats off to you Catcup. Most if not all of this material had been taught in the ministry for many years by the original MOG. Same control technique. The only difference was the MOG jr didn't have the charisma of MOG sr and MOG jr's audience wasn't a bunch of young impressionable kids.
  10. Unproductive evil – you didn’t do the stubid things they wanted you to do. Harassing evil – you questioned them about the stubid things they wanted you to do. Destructive evil – you expressed your uncertainty about the stubid things they wanted you to do to someone else. The idea was to kick you out before you get to Destructive evil.
  11. This is what I was lead to believe but I have a hard time believing it. Maybe the corpse training but all TWI class methods were modeled after the foundation PFAL class and the PFAL class was modeled after JE Stiles’ and BG Leonard’s classes. Not sure how all of this fits into a time line. But it seams like VP studied at Pikes Peak for a quick PhD. I believe, if I am not wrong. that Pikes Peak was after Stiles’ and Leonard’s classes? The training methods for the corpse program may be different. However, those didn’t start until the early 70s. Long after Pikes Peak.
  12. This is a great thread. This is why I keep coming back to GSpot. I love history and believe that gaining an historical perspective on things is the only way to fully understand them. I got involved in TWI in 1982. There was still an aspect of TWI that reflected this freedom ( this is what drew me to TWI) but it continually got ratcheted down and then squelched by the end of the 80’s or beginning of the 90’s. Jim, I await with great eagerness for you to inform us more about your book and how it can be purchased. I don’t visit GSpot all the time so I hope Pawtuckett will send out an all-mailing when the book is available and how to purchase it.
  13. Relationship building did not exist in TWI. All relationships were based on a condition. Believer vs. unbeliever. Relationship with a new person before PFnAL. Your relationship with a grad of PFnAL. Relationship with an advanced class grad, with a corpse person, with clergy. All different, all based on a condition, all dysfunctional and not truly honest. True relationships can occur with anybody and are built, take time, require compromise and honesty. It took me a while to establish some truly healthy relationships. I am sooooo glad I am out.
  14. Freud vs Fraud He is certainly not going to identify himself for obvious reason. However, he could list some of those many other message boards he posts on as Freud. We could look at his posts on the other boards and see if he is legit. Or he could tell us more about his area of expertise and some one that speaks psyco-bable could have a psyco-bable conversation with him and test his credentials. If he is legit, God bless him maybe he could help Craig come clean and others get some closure. If he is not legit, well I have heard of people who post on message boards as more then one person to give them selves support.
  15. TW:LIL, pg-201. VPW speaking "No matter how much knowledge you have of God, God seldom allows you to teach more than people are able to receive. Some things God taught me that night in Tulsa, I've never taught- no one would have been able to receive them." No one…no one in all of living man! Not even TWI Clergy, BG Leonard or JE Stiles. You mean things that couldn’t be documented in the Bible any where between Genesis and Revelations for people to see and understand. It then has to be implied that VPW is the Man of God of Our Times. The first sentence may be true but the second implies that VPW is the Man of God of Our Times as proclaiming by VPW himself. Word Wolf brought up these sentences from the Way Living in Love in the Doctrinal section concerning the thread “vpw on the sources of his books”. I thought it is applicable pertaining to this topic as well. Thanks Word Wolf.
  16. HHHmmmmm... sounds like the self acclaimed Man of God of Our Times. Nothing more then "False Humility".
  17. There certainly was a lot of bizarre meetings and events that took place in TWI but what do you expect for a bunch of narcissistic megalomaniacs
  18. It is not looking very good for VPW as being truly THE Man of God. Is there no defenders of this concept…Mike, Oldies, CK or any of you? I would hate for this myth to be busted with out hardly a challenge.
  19. My3Cents, Really enjoyed reading your right up. Thanks for posting it. Great job of using layman terms. Makes it easy to understand. megalomaniacs The religious right is a little scary but I don’t think they will ever really have any direct power. The activist left is on the decline but still wield a lot of direct power i.e., mainstream media, powerful senators, Hollywood, tenured professors and teachers etc… but that is a discussion for Politics and Tacks.
  20. There is a lot of discussion of the benefit or non benefit of working for TWI or Corpse training but as far as resumes go. A resume is a marketing tool. You use it to market yourself. Its main purpose is to get you an interview. You don’t’ want to put anything on the resume you aren’t willing to talk about in an interview. You want to make your resume stand out from the crowd of applicants. So you want to only put favorable items in your resume. You want to tailor it for the job you are applying for. Most employers aren’t going to give a flip who you worked for unless it is a competitor. They just want to know if your skills will match the job you are applying for. Being on staff and in the Way Corpse gives you a wide range of skills to elaborate on and may fit many different jobs you may be applying for. The key is how you word them. Tailor your resume to fit the job you are applying for then sell it during the interview. If you have any gaps in your resume, they will wonder what you did and why you aren’t putting it down. Some may not even call you for an interview because of the gap. If you have what they are looking for, they will probably call you for an interview but may want an explanation of the gap. It’s all how you present it that makes the difference. Kav is right about the 10 year rule. You only need to go back 10 years of employment history. The 10 year rule doesn’t apply to academic achievements. A degree in Theology is not necessarily a bad thing. Most people will see you as an honest person that cares about and can work with other people. It also shows that you finish what you start and can read, write and communicate. Most employers don’t have the time or resources to google your resume. I never was in the Corpse or worked on staff but my observation was that you learned some good skills and work ethics that could be applied in many areas. The key is how to phrase them in a resume and present them in an interview. I know there were a lot of egocentric A-holes in the Corpse but that doesn’t apply to everybody. I knew some truly exceptional people with great hearts that were in the Corpse. This thread started referencing the hypocrisy of TWI leadership. Corporate Training, who ever heard of a four year corporate training program. I’m all for tailoring your resume for the job you want but this is a little out of hand and unbelievable. It does smack with TWI hypocrisy. And never, ever have a typo on a resume. Can’t believe she let that slip. So much for having an eye for detail. My prediction is she will never even get an interview.
  21. Well…I’m waiting… Can’t anybody explain this concept? Give me anything. A morsel would help. My whole view of VPW and TWI could be shattered.
  22. VPW was known as The Man of God of out times. Where did this title originate? Who came up with it? When was it first used? What exactly does it mean? Can it be documented in the Bible, not just the exact words but the concept: • Doctrinally in the church epistles? • Historically in the book of Acts? • Mentioned or referenced in any books in the New Testament? It has to be proven in relationship to the Grace Administration not Old Testament. Is it even a Godly concept post Jesus Christ? I got involved in TWI in 1982 and it was excepted with out question, but now looking back I wonder…
  23. Makes you wonder about all the ingredible manifestation of God's power he performed in the India stories
  24. The 90s is where TWI went about putting a stop to the evil internal to TWI. You know the 3 evils: unproductive evil, harassing evil, and destructive evil. Unproductive evil – you didn’t do what they wanted you to do. Harassing evil – you questioned them about what they wanted you to do. Destructive evil – you expressed your uncertainty about what they wanted you to do to someone else.
