I am sure that they will be as truthful as others have been in previous custody cases and the Peeler evidentiary hearings testimony ;)-->....
-
Are these 12 folks speaking about the same person ???
-
Perhaps you can become a franchisee of TWI and sell their books for them like the guys in the 70's used to do door to door heheheSend Your Bookstore Order to: THE Strange One, P.O. Box 666, Cop Out, Maryland. 99999.....
-
Dear outofdafog, Thank You. Some posters are under the impression that I need or can be trained to behave differently. My wife gave up a long time ago realizing the futility of the concept, and she knows me better than anyone else hehehe.......
-
And some might even label your "consideration" as the same.
-
Well, reports of TWI's bookstore change of policy were premature. I just called and asked for a price list and they asked for my name. I gave it to them and after typing it in, they put me on hold and then came back and asked if I was attending fellowship, because I would need clearance from my Limb Coordinator to make a purchase. They said that they only sell to their followers, so the bookstore is still only open to those on the "approved list"

Absolutely and well put. However, there are some in the offshoots and others who still have the Wierwillian mindset / indoctrination that there is only one right way of doing things.....
-
update: I got a hold of 2 copies of the our times book from ex-way friends. I still need to find the original article mentioned in the first post. Thanks
-
Absolutely it is. TWI makes no changes unless ordered by their overseers, namely their attorneys. And in at least two lawsuits, the issue for cancellation of TWI's trademarks was because they were not dealing with the general public making their trademarks unnecessary.
-
Thank You for the non cult mindset. The name was only up for about 10 minutes and it was a common name which could be almost anyone in the world as no last name was mentioned or any other identifier. Geesh, how much of beating a dead horse was this thread about? Some of the posters just love to get on my case about any perceived transgression whether real or imagined. The subject of the innie's e-mail had nothing personal in it at all to boot. He criticized my having info still up about LCM and then did the TWI is stronger than ever promo. Sure sounds like a great confidence was breached, NOT...... John: I had an innie a few years ago spout the "At least TWI has the truth" line at me.I shot back liar!. TWI does not have the truth. My boldness shocked the person enough that they later came back to me ready to really dialogue. And those e-mails and conversations were confidential as so many I have are. Niceness does not always work, but some bold truth sometimes is what's needed to shake them awake. And no, this approach is not my only approach. Sometimes I am quite friendly although I am not the pastor type hehehe

An opinion not shared by all. Why do you and your friends have to find fault in stuff like this to begin with? Most of this thread is about you shouldn't have done this, or shoulda have done it this way. My style is mine and if some have another opinion of how to do it, you are entitled to that opinion. Why don't we discuss the mindset of the person who wrote the e-mail and how TWI has them convinced that things are looking better? That was the reason for this thread.
-
Why isn't it kosher? You just did it yourself. The big brouhaha is over a first name up for so short a time that it's removal was before the edit time period. People need to get a grip. Hope: Although I agree in principle with letting the innie know more, however, my pointing them to court documents are hard evidence. Especially when they read Rosie's court testimony. If she said anything contrary to what the innies are being told (which she has), it will be Rosie's own words not a so called cop-outs grumblings. Further, if the person indeed wants more information, I will direct them to GS which has people's own testimonies about their experiences versus the documents that I provide. Both functions are needed to wake someone up.

E-Mail: We will respond to you within about a week or so unless you mark it urgent. If the e-mail is sent to: excultworld5@prowebtechs.com it will be regarded as public information. If it is sent to our editor's private e-mail, it will be regarded as private/confidential at least initially (depending on content). http://www.excultworld.com/columns/mission_statement.htm Long Gone: Your criticism was not well investigated. hmmmm
-
The policy on our website is quite clear. The e-mail we are discussing (except for the few critics of virtually everything I do) was one of several of like verbage I get all the time spouting the party line.John, Respectfully, I disagree with you approach because I have done it plenty in the past with far better results when they were confronted with facts between the eyes to shake them awake. I consider e-mails of this type being discussed as spam, and not a real sincere desire to have honest communication.
-
Let's put this in perspective. It was only a first name. No location, e-mail address etc. Wrong again. The letter addressed the magazine's content and was not a confidential e-mail. An erroneous assumption based on what real facts? I didn't say I crossed the line, because I didn't. I only revealed the person's first name. However, I honestly admitted that Grizzy had a point that even that small amount of info might be enough for the waygb. The ones that have written to me in confidence you will never know about. It is only the ones sending me the company line that I share about.
-
good point grizzy. corrections made. why the concern for an innie spouting the TWI superiority line? It would take a day to write the hundreds of pages to detail some of TWI deceptions hehehe
-
My Response: Dear , You are quite right about God and Jesus Christ. It is unfortunate that neither has any part of the business called The Way International. As far as older information, the magazine keeps historical information about cults like TWI so people know what they are investing their time and money into. As far as as strong as ever, well, after the 7 or so lawsuits that are currently in progress, we will see. Membership has been declining for the past 15 years or so, but I see the deception by TWI leaders is still alive and well. Have you read the Peeler lawsuit evidentiary hearings or the newest lawsuit postings? These are current.....

I sent a request for a bookstore catalog with prices by certified mail 2 years ago. They didn't even act in a business like manner and acknowledge the letter signed for by Ramona B.

If TWI's bookstore is once again open, it is in response to my counter suit against them.

TWI's statement of beliefs from: APPEAL from the Board of Tax Appeals, No. 85-G-539. January 16, 1990, Submitted April 11, 1990, Decided The Way's objectives and beliefs: "I We believe the scriptures of the Old and New Testaments were verbally inspired by God and perfect in the original writing; that they are of supreme, absolute and final authority for faith, life and godliness. "II We believe in one God, the creator of the heavens and earth; in Christ Jesus His son and our savior, whom God raised from the dead; and we believe in the working of the Holy Spirit. "III We believe that the virgin Mary conceived by the Holy Spirit; that God was in Christ, and that Jesus Christ was true man. "IV We believe that man was created in the image of God, spiritually, that he sinned and thereby brought upon himself immediate spiritual death, which is separation from God and also physical death which is the consequence of sin; and that all human beings are born with a sinful nature. "V We believe that Jesus Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, as a representative and substitute for us; and that all who believe that God raised him from the dead are justified and made righteous, born again of the Spirit of God, receiving eternal life on the grounds of his eternal redemption; and thereby are sons of God. "VI We believe in the resurrection of the crucified body of our Lord, his ascension into heaven and his seating at the right hand of God. "VII We believe in the blessed hope of Christ's return, the personal return of our living Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and our gathering together onto him. "VIII We believe in the bodily resurrection of the just and the unjust. "IX We believe in the receiving of the fullness of the holy spirit, the power from on high, plus the corresponding nine manifestations of the holy spirit, for all born again believers. "X We believe it is available to receive all that God promises us in His Word according to our believing faith. We believe we are free in Christ Jesus to receive all that he accomplished for us by his substitution. "XI We believe the early Church flourished rapidly because they operated within a Root, Trunk, Limb, Branch and Twig setup (descent and in order)." [***2]

How Did You Respond to Negatives About TWI While "In"?
pjroberge replied to Oakspear's topic in About The Way
My criteria for calling a cult is more based on practices and how they treat their members. The rating system I developed doesn't use religious criteria to characterize a group as a cult or the other classifications. To make a long story short, TWI in my opinion is a category 5 militant cult on a scale of 6 (terrorist group). The criteria for militant cult includes allegations or actual practice of criminal acts, which has been alleged many times about TWI. -

The Way International Ministries sues TWI today
pjroberge replied to pjroberge's topic in About The Way
When TWIM or I win our cases, and TWI's trademarks are cancelled, they won't have to change their name. TWI just won't be able to throw its weight around like a schoolyard bully anymore under the pretense of trademark infringement.... Although, TWI might want to change their name with about 500 religious groups that have The Way in their name. They are already lost in the crowd...... -

The Way International Ministries sues TWI today
pjroberge replied to pjroberge's topic in About The Way
Outadafog asks: Months ago someone posted a note about this ministry. I was curious and made contact as I network with many groups that are not TWI connected. While reading TWI's lawsuit against me, I noted that TWI had filed applications for 4 new trademarks for The Way International. Since TWI had done this, I felt morally obligated to inform this group because it directly affects them. This group decided to go ahead and file formal oppositions. As far as sharing information, the research resouces of myself and the materials on Ex-Cultworld have been and will be available to anyone I feel has a legitimate need of them.
