Song of the moment

My pleasure, I love the sound of a well played Taylor...it does have aunique sound.

My personal favorite on a Taylor is Harvey Reid

but being a reclusive guy he seems to have a thing about posting videos..

I couldnt any of his flatpickin, jigs, classical, or celtic stuff that he does so well-- but I did find this low quality but tasty fingerpicking arrangement of Londonderry Air--(Danny Boy)

Solid Gold!

If Harvey is ever in your area -- dont let the opportunity pass you by to see him--unfortunately he prefers to fly under the radar and is easy to miss. I walked into a bar by accident and saw him about 18 years ago and my jaw literally dropped at how good he was. I have seen him every chance i get ever since in some great and close up venues..,If you liked that little ditty you'll love him live..

schedule

I wish I had more of him to post but I dont...

but meanwhile--this piece from Doc Watson never gets old to me -especially now that the rivers are risin around here:

Deep River Blues

Happy Monday to y'all

That song has some very special meaning to me because a good buddy of mine and dmillers (Mike Moody) taught me a version of that. I had not heard it forever. Mike is gone now but it sure brings back some good memories.

When Emmitt Rhodes split from The Merry Go Round back in 1970 or so, he released a solo album--- a REAL solo album.

Multi-tracking was still quite new but Emmitt mastered it in no time at all. Every part on here is Emmitt. Here is a clip from that album.

PS--- When this was released I bought it on 8 track! :biglaugh:
