Governments and institutions have the right and moral obligation to mandate the vaccine, just as they do with dozens of other vaccines from smallpox and measles to chickenpox and mumps. The U.S. Supreme Court made it clear more than a century ago that the public interest in mandating vaccines outweighs the individual interest in clinging to misinformation to spread disease.

Vaccines work. They save lives. They allowed us to move back toward normalcy. And the only reason they were not as effective in the US as they could have been is too many people refused to take them because they followed the politically driven advice of demagogues who either took the vaccine or didn't AND DIED OF COVID. These people wanted herd immunity, but you don't get herd immunity by thinning the herd. You get it through vaccinations, but even then only if most people participate. So if you don't want to be criticized for refusing to take the vaccine, TOO BAD. You're following stupid advice and if you were an isolated case that would be one thing, but then you're using platforms to spread the misinformation on which you've acted, which is providing other people with the stupid advice you're following and making it harder to bring this pandemic under control. Get the F8ing shot already.

I dont care what you do, on a certain level. On another I care a lot. Either way I’d prefer to make my own decisions. If I get to, so do you. So when I’m King Dog of the Universe and running things we’ll get along great. Ive managed to live as I see fit without having any issues. The week California closed down last year I drove an RV for 10 hours on a major freeway, got gas, food, used rest rooms, and visited family for a week in another city in another county. No problems at all. I slipped the stupid little mask on when I was in public places gassing up, and sanitized as I went. Easy. 99% of the trip I didn’t wear a mask but in those few situations where I knew someone would have a shit fit if I didn’t I did. The whole thing is such a minor concern to me, either way, I refuse to get in a twist, I just try to do the sensible thing snd get on with what I’m really trying to do.

The articles may have had "facts", but those "facts" neither addressed your claims nor supported them. Nobody claimed the "statistics" were wrong. You seem not to have understood what they meant. This wasn't " false information", just " poor reading comprehension." Rather than labeling the moderators, you might actually read the articles you linked.

I remember when this all started and toilet paper suddenly became a scare commodity. I waited outside the grocery store for half an hour to get diapers or something and then this line starts to form. Everyone has to get six feet a apart and all. I get in line and these this lady starts yelling loud how I've cut her in line and then this other lady shows up out of nowhere and starts yelling I need to social distance more and then the other tells her thank you and they both give verbal high fives cause they are saving lives by screaming at strangers for no reason. I never said a word and just moved further back in line even though I was there way before the screamers. Not like anyone died for their freedom to screem. At least now I can say I'm vaxxed so go STFU.

My daughter has made arrangements for my school age grandkiddos to get their first covid vax within the next two weeks and jab #2 three weeks later. She's thrilled and so am I.

Again, what is information and/or disinformation ?? Is it in the eye of the beholder ? Does it take more than merely reading the headlines ? Latest medical advice is that the covid shots immunity only lasts 3-6 months....that's why they're rolling out the 'booster' shots....how long do they last ? Again, medical advice is their effectiveness wanes after around 4-6 months. Has anyone wondered aloud how long are people going to keep lining up for booster shots ? A year ? 2 ? 10 ? the rest of your natural life ? Will they introduce billing for it at some point ? I think big pharma shares would be the way to go at this rate, yeah ? lol...

And I guess (as a journalist) you believe in a persons right to disagree with your opinion yeah ? I disagree that masks work. In fact the latest stats to come out of your country are that a school district (can't remember where, if I have to I'll look it up) showed virtually no differnce in transmission rates between masked and unmasked pupils. As for John Lynn, he died WITH covid, not BECAUSE of. It's called 'comorbidity' which is what the ONE percent of people who catch the 'rona die of, apart from the very elderly. In fact 99% of the elderly who die from/with corona have already lived PAST the average life span. Also, no argument vaccines DO work, it just appears the corona vaccine (like the flu shots) with their effectiveness waning after three months are not very effective. That is why the fear of the 'unvaccinated' from the 'vaccinated' is very palpable...just saying.

Not unexpected. He hung on for a long time with the cancer. Really foolish of him, knowing he was immuno-suppressed, to not get a vaccine or wear masks. I'd liked him when I first got involved in TWI. He got weird later, though. Always sad when someone you know dies.
