I wonder.. did you practice practical kabbalism? A Jewish friend of mine had some rather harsh words for it. She claimed the only thing the kabbalah legitimately authorized us to do was good works. Acts of loving kindness.

Timothy Leary advocated something like that.. turn on, tune in, drop out.. Nixon called him "the most dangerous man in the U.S." Kind of interesting. How to REALLY go outside of it, barring creating your own "reality".. hmmm.

What I THINK you're "seeing".. Is a world of contrasts. The world does appear to be changing, faster than it has in recorded history. Physically, ideologically, and mostly enabled by the development of technology. No, I don't think technology is evil in itself or anything.. What you may be seeing is a once fairly balanced system, suddenly set off balance, desperately trying to find a point of equilibrium, or rest. And that is a long time off. I think this state of affairs is fueled mainly by the greed of men. This is the liberty I see in the world today. Industrialists are free pretty much to do whatever they "will". Well, if not.. they just go where they can. They are violating their very own thelemistic ideology "do as thou wilt, as long as it doesn't keep your neighbor from doing what he wills.." at least that's my paraphrase of it.

Gotta do just a TAD more than leave a trail of crumbs.. Ideologies are nice, if one can have them.. but the reality of it is, at the end of the day, my take on God, the universe and everything isn't technically any better than anyone elses.

I'm not saying this in jest, but.. Uncharted territory is wonderful. I go there all the time.. the real "trick" is not to lose one's marbles.. or forget where one left them.. :)

and some of them are, "let's drag the old man up from underneath the fountain".. sorry.. coudn't help myself.. but really.. if that is what it takes for the living here to find some closure..

The only way I have been able to sometimes, is to play being a stinking crazy squirrel.. I freely adopt the roll.. it isn't too far from the truth.. In a sense I'm ruined, at least as some people would think. I could never be what it takes to be a success in business. I'd let the damn company go the route of financial ruin, rather than let people suffer.. I know.. offenses must come.. but I'm a damn coward. They won't come by me. We had a rat here.. big rascal. The creature looked me in the eye.. I couldn't even club a stinking rat.. oh, I do hold human beings in greater regard.. the lady of the house here must love me.. Had to catch and release.. but she had a few words for the varmint along the way to the release point: "You come back here sucker, and you're dead.."

Have to rephrase this.. Perhaps what I've got, I can..

Because it is enough. Besides, I'm tired of trying to tell God what to do.. why I should have money, or success, or "abundance".. See, I already have a blessing that there is not room enough to receive.. so to speak. what more could I want? What am I going to do with it? Can't take it with me.. :)

Well.. I dunno. I think that perhaps you refer to the future that WE think that God promises us. I still live day to day for Him.. but where are the guarantees of abundance.. the guarantees that somethow we will be victorious in this life.. in a sense all of the promises of instant gratification or success are irrelevant. At least to me.. in a sense, the promises mean nothing.. to me. The only promise that I rely on.. is that I will be there.

Well, I think if you actually KNOW the future.. how else could a person plan for it.. at least in a real sense.

but honestly, I'm not looking for proof any more. What if I told you that I actually saw it in someone.. actually more than one person. It would be my truth, my proof, not yours. The only thing I'll say.. if you see it, you'd better have on more than a pair of sunglasses and sun block.. Well, what can I say.. at the end of the day, it's just the word of the squirrel..

I have failed to see this work, in practice. I tried it for over twenty five years.. no soap. Just give enough, get vast enough understanding of God's nature revealed in the bible.. I think it is putting the cart before the horse. I would suggest, to see God's light, brings the recognition you speak of. Breathing for one thing..

I kinda think that "self" is just the skin. The exterior, that contains a being of light. true. but I wasn't talking about worship. I don't think a person can see this image, in themselves. Probably a good thing.. you'd walk around looking in a mirror for the rest of your days..

No, I'm saying we have this little itty bit of individuality for a reason. I for one, think we asked for it. 99.92% of this life we speak of may not be about "me", but .08 % indeed is. What I'm saying is, a person can't fully acheive this "God consciousness". Try as you may.. whatever methods you choose- "renew the mind", meditate, whatever.. and the .08% of "you" will not go there. Is it? He did create us in his image, did he not?

No laughs yet? Tough crowd.. Hmmm. Maybe I should have put this in doctrinal..

Probably eating fermented grapes.. or the modern equivalent.. I met a couple of kids who had inhaled way too much glue.. they plain weren't there. The one kid would just break the glass window on a drugstore.. and meander around, slowly finding the Valiums and other "goodies".. no hurry. Cops? What cops? Didn't make any difference. In his mind, the store was there.. the goodies were inside.. and, they belonged to him.. He was just mindless. I wonder if that was vic's mentality, as he helped himself to other's works. He was shameless.

Some people claim meditation does the same thing.. Some people think that we competed rather fiercely to have the chance to enjoy the tiny, itty bitty speck of individuality that this life affords us. about the only way you're gonna completely throw THAT off, and be totally God minded fella, is when you are stone cold dead. Many are given one of the gifts of the universe, and they treat it like a wool sweater. Itch, itch itch.. gotta get out of this thing.. what a waste of time. I mean, fight tooth and nail to just get here, and spend the time desperately seeking the great egress. If "they" are right, anyway.. What's the big hurry? :)

given vic's "preclivities" for women, I think donna could have been the first choice. according to vp, couldn't let a woman do a "man"'s job. Chose the next logical alternative.. I think she was fairly smart, until she was around loy long enough. Something about his demeanor that seems to depress the intelligence of those around him..
