Part of their review of Pawns in the Game.. Grave danger, oppression.. forces of evil.. if you are a "patriot" or "christian" you better wake up.. Almost sounds like one of loy's rants.. sheesh. Why is it they are so adamant as to dismiss the holocaust based primarily on the premise that with the magnitude of it's claims it simply could not be true, and turn around and promote something that sounds even more "outlandish"?

This is the guy who claims superior knowledge about the gas chambers. I'm not really trying to assasinate his character.. I think he did a good enough job of it all on his own.

I remember part of the story, where he was a self-promoted "expert" in gas chambers and executions at a trial. Judge: "what degree do you have, that qualifies you as a SCIENTIFIC expert?" Leuchter: "umm, well, it's in history.." The scary part about this history "afficianado" turned junk scientist.. some people actually BELIEVE his blather..

Let's say the spirit chooses to channel through the next door neighbor instead.. unless the spirit signed off on some kind of contract, it would seem that a person would have no legal recourse.. I can understand somebody selling a book.. at a reasonable price. But.. I guess she rakes in millions with this.. I think some people have had some real experiences.. don't know if this lady really did or not, but it seems if you mix it with money and massive organization, it turns to poison.

I got involved in the community. I looked into one of the civic organizations that shared my interests, the local radio club. I made a few friends in the process. Next.. I did something that I NEVER EVER would do in the ministry.. and I won't tell it here. But maybe that's a step in the right direction. I'd say, do something you wouldn't do.. go to a Univeralist church, something.. you won't get "possessed".. :) Once I sat through a couple of Universalist services without trying to beat it to death with a bible. They seemed to be OK.. I also went back to school, and picked up my path in life that I left off when I got involved in the ministry.

Now THAT'S nuts. And "they" can't prove this is da will of god, without using circular reasoning. Oh, I've never seen that particular organization reverse itself with this little statement.. I can live believing nothing.. or everything.. or something in between, or even change it all next week. I think the "some of us" don't have the stability required to live like that. They have to be anchored to some dogma so tightly that they would kill for it.

With very few exceptions, I think a person can't find that kind of friendship on the internet.

I think that about says it all. I've seen people let people cross lines online that they ordinarily would not allow in person. Then the face to face meeting can be a nightmare..

Well, at the worst George.. these beliefs are no more insane than any other. :) Maybe even a little less insane.. I wouldn't kill anybody over them..

But I still haven't lost my brain to not consider the facts carefully. Just not afraid to.. :

The guy is a graduate of Columbia University and Yale medical school.. smart guy. Of course the "traditionalists" would say, "well, the spurts sure are smart, aren't they, to trick the man." That's what I would say twenty years, or even ten ago, but I am not entirely convinced of that any more. One thing I can say about years in der vey, I NEVER saw anything like this, at least of this caliber, to convince me of anything. Just a lot of name calling.. calling devilish anything that didn't line up with their theology .

well, congratualtions! He sure looks happy there.. congratulations to you too. Kids can do a lot, but without good parents, it can be a lot harder.

Looks like congratualtions are in order for somebody here.. what's the medal for? honors? band? Maybe sports?
