  1. I don't know if I would agree that we come back until we reach perfection. How can you improve perfection to begin with.. that's the whole argument of the spark of the divine in each person, I think. I kind of have the impression that there are so many of "us", that the competition for corporeal existence is brutal..
  2. Freedom is wonderful isn't it. I'd like to see somebody try this kind of discussion in "twig". and at the end of the day, nobody here ended up possessed or a greasespot..
  3. Let me guess.. any similarity to Porky's II, Porky's revenge is purely coincidental.
  4. Yeah, me too.. sometimes I feel like I've wasted a lot of my life. But that's not really true. Even twenty plus years in the daggone cult had a few positives.. Two children resulted.. and they look a lot prettier than me I wouldn't trade them for anything. Even if I could go back.. tell myself, "run. It's a cult, run for your LIFE.." I wouldn't do it.. :)
  5. Yep.. the world is a small place, and it seems to be getting smaller all the time. And I think that is what a lot of people are, with regard to the guy sitting next to them that may have a few different beliefs, terrified. I was too, shortly after leaving der vey. Except for a couple who threatened iminent devil spirit possession, I don't get a sense of the "I'm afraid I'll get possessed if I talk with you" here at GS, even among the most loyal of vp doctrine adherents. Maybe we have come a long way.
  6. "I'm not getting in that thing.. let's see how it scrambles YOUR molecules first."
  7. Some people think that the earth might be like venus someday.. Venus is quite hot. Atmosphere rather dense.. and mostly carbon dioxide with a little nitrogen, and no water.
  8. As hard as she tries, rosie just can't train donna how to set the thing.. They can't find the groove in the CD..
  9. Maybe the clock is broken there, or maybe it's just blinking "12:00"
  10. I would agree. My last post, I was only referring to the big scheme. But these "garden variety" devils can play quite a bit of havoc with people's lives. I'm just glad there isn't enough power to go around for these numbnuts..
  11. It may be theoretically possible.. but most people wouldn't look too human after being subjected to enough acceleration as to bring to to a velocity to sufficiently dialate time.. :)
  12. Why can't you have it both ways? There are hundreds of thousands of "devils" in the world, if not millions, but not many were REALLY significant. Hitler was, Stalin, Milosevek.. vic only managed to gain a following of at most, what.. 20,000? The garden variety "devil" doesn't amount to a hill of beans.
  13. Reminds me of an old Doctor Who episode.. the villain was fragmented across time, told his earlier self to have Leonardo do up a few more Mona Lisas, hide them in the cellar, and he only had to dig them up a few hundred years later.. :) Now, if the physicists see something that indicates time travel, they know enough to look for the error in equation or calculation..
  14. Thanks for your input Mike. Did you vote?
  15. Yeah. I wonder if it was because "leadership" wasn't happy. They can't be, by God, you can't be either..
  16. The quote I liked was "Convincing yourself that you are in Chicago while you are still in New York is delusional thinking." http://www.avataroverdrive.com/inside_avatar/primaries.htm Who knows.. maybe they are another cult.. but they do have a few interesting statements.. Yeah. And what do we have, but so many superstructures of different sets of theology.. all fighting to maintain their identity. They almost seem to have life of their own..
  17. OK. Here is where the Squirrel is in the twilight zone, or out of a Stephen King novel, as Groucho succintly suggested, or merely alluded to.. I think the experience of transition is SO traumatic, even under the best of circumstances, that 99 percent of us cannot consciously consider what happened.
  18. Seems like another life away, doesn't it?
  19. I don't think that anybody does. All I know is adhering to the same bunch of dogma for close to twenty years with unflinching loyalty, I was pretty stagnant..

    Tattoos on women

I dunno.. I think anything goes.. but I would really think a person should think a few times before tattoing their boyfriend/girlfriend's name somwhere.. tattoos have been proven to have longer longevity than marriage.
  21. And don't worry. You won't get possessed, or any more possessed than you already are..
  22. Looks like it may favor the religious "right" here.. still, I am impressed the the amount of uncertainty in the crowd.. 147 views. Ideally, I'd like to see a hundred and some votes on this thing.. Come forward, you cyber creatures of the night.. just log in anonymous and vote. Nobody will ever know..

    Jeff Mason

Hey, I talk to myself all the time. Sometimes I actually answer.. No, somebody had post number two on this thread. No idea what happened to it or who the poster was.. it just went "somewhere".. whoever it was asked if he had a sister, that's all I remember. Maybe it was a deleted account..
