  1. I think I know where the poodle is. After about thirty years or so, unless it's on life support somewhere in a research hospital or something, poor Cocoa is plain stone cold dead.. probably tormenting vic in the after life..
  2. I think there was at least a little logic in twi.. there had to be to attract the more intellectual crowd. But so much of the argument was circular in nature. Circular reasoning uses elements of the theory itself to reach the conclusion. "The bible IS the word of God." Then the vicmeister gave the "testimony of the word itself" to support this. While I won't argue the validity or lack of validity of the "theory", the method to prove it is rather flawed. I always thought that his explanation sounded kinda funny. This is not inductive reasoning. Inductive reasoning shows that the theory holds true for an arbitrary case, then proceeds to show that it holds true for ALL cases. "Some people prayed, and someone got healed, therefore those with that theology are correct". What about the next case? The next circumstance, where the guy didn't get healed? It's amazing how soon some of us dropped logic when superstition was invoked: "Oh. The debil wants to make us look bad.."
  3. Inductive reasoning can be used for a valid proof, but cannot be used for everything. Usually it is a lot easier to disprove than to prove. "believing always works.." all you have to show is only ONE counter example. "the bible fits like a hand in a glove, not a single contradiction" even the old vicmeister acknowledged that it you found even ONE discrepency, then his theory was flawed. But instead of accepting apparent "defeat" he forced a lot of contradicting scriptures to conform.
  4. I dunno. Can an udder bring forth fresh milk and sour?
  5. That's a common morse code abbreviation. es, ur, gg are a few others.. YL- young lady XYL- old lady (wife) add the Q code list, and a person can be dealing with hundreds of abbreviations.. QRZ- who is calling me? QSO- conversation. QRT- To cease sending, or end the conversation. typical usage: "If I don't QRT, the XYL is gonna kill me.."
  6. Hmm. The milk, the milk.. I think the expiration date on twi milk might be about twenty years or so off the mark.. I really WISH they'd give a refund.. They are still selling the same milk, claim it is fresh as today's Wall Street Journal.. You're right socks, about all that is left is give the store a piece of our mind..
  7. That was NOT part of the agreement, "signed on the dotted line.."
  8. What about "drugged" Oldies? hmm. seems to me, drugged and thrown in the back of the mogmobile wasn't exactly done in accordance with the ladies' freedom of will. Free will was far more than abrogated, or usurped.. Oh. "It didn't happen to ME." "Nobody took advantage of ME". "I had some good times.." This is why I am really starting to hate religion..
  9. A buddhist could say the same thing.. or an islamist about Muhammed.. or a Hare Krishna.. and they are as convinced of the utter reality of their belief, as you are of yours. They feel your belief is as illogical as you feel theirs is.. kinda interesting, huh? I suggest that you have NO freedom of will. At least in this matter. It is not in your capacity to even entertain the thought that you may be wrong.
  10. Well, the only way I can think of that the vicmeister could lure women into the motorcoach: 1. con them 2. hit them over the head with a lead pipe (drugs, coercion, etc.) Honest to God, it wasn't because of his "good looks".. If you want to argue the "subtle" differences between the two, and claim that it was all their freedom of will, go ahead..
  11. I think that is what scares some people. More freedom than a lot of them can handle.. plus more freedom than some would afford others..

    let my people go

rosie: "who are those who shall go?" "we shall go with our flocks and herds, cats and poodles.." "not a paw shall be left behind.."

    Adieu

Sad to see you go friend. Hey, if I can help with any math stuff, don't hesitate to email..
  15. Well, I think he is about as down as he's gonna get. One thing he DID'T get that others who left under a cloud of suspicion: Pulblic lynching, public defamation. I think they gave some lame excuse like "he's gone off to work out his problems" or something like that, if I heard correctly. Why? I think "they" were secretly enraged, because they finally figured out that they were SCAMMED. Yeah, I know they were calculating in a lot of stuff, but I think they drank a lot of their own kool aid. Scammed, except for perhaps the fox. I think she knew, and just sat back and waited for his demise. How else could he get them to accept a financial debacle like putting all of the corps on full time salary? Did he learn how to use a computer? I think he HAD to. Even just for employability reasons. Perhaps against his will.. But I wonder what he thinks about the internet now. Still sees devils jumping off of keyboards and computer screens? Maybe his "doc" has that kind of thing under control.. Well, "mr" linder. How do you feel? Scammed like the rest of us.. or did you KNOW and WILLINGLY FOLLOW a madman?

    Happy Limerick Day!

Once there was a glass eyed weeper, In crap he could not dig deeper. He opened a clinic for nut cases init, but "patients" were made the docs keepers.
  17. He did hit a few people over the head with a lead pipe..
  18. Does he have a computer? Probably does.. uses it to prop the door open in hot weather..
  19. And the vp apologists try to argue that there really is a difference between the two, "well, you didn't get beat over the head with a lead pipe, he just conned you. It was your decision, your fault, you lose". "get over it". And like those who went to see P.T. Barnums "egress", they think it is funny to watch it happen to somebody else, or minimize it, as some kind of rite of passage. Funny.. remarkable similarity here.. a lot of people paid to get in, and found themselves on the street..
  20. I think that's the whole point. Either way, the deception has the same effect. One way, we were robbed, the other, we were conned.
  21. One definition of coercion is government by force. You know.. do it, or die.. manipulation is much more subtle, not so up front. You can lead a horse to water by salting his oats.. or you can try to drive him to it with a whip.
  22. Are those the two big ones with pointy ears?
  23. Oldies has the thought that wholesale dumping of pfal et al down the crapper because those who produced it were so jaded is some form of "victim entitlement". Thinks it is unfair to "the product". or to vic when he was "standing" in his "greatness". I know, it doesn't make sense..
  24. If you think that's interesting.. here's a shot where I stayed at a party till four. It's hard to leave when you can't find the door.. (Joe Walsh forgive me..)
