An exerpt of their own review of the prophecy book in the catalog- If they can't use their little "zero to prophecy in five easy steps" book to filter out spiders in the nose and worse, either they can't read, or something is wrong with their book. Whole appendix on false prophets, and false prophecies.. Makes me think that the darkness hasn't gone away, it's just moved back into the inner sanctum..

I think they owe their "constituency" an apology, at the very least. The only reason I care is that I have ties with CES's parent organization, and observe CES taking the same journey of abuse and manipulation. For a person to think using "prophecy" to break up a marrriage to be not abusive and evil, well.. I don't know quite what to say. Other than that- they are small potatos in the larger scheme of things. I'm not looking for an apology for me, personally. I agree, but I would add: .. it took ALMOST the same kind of pressure to get them to take that down, as it took to get der vey to dump martindale. They would have followed him to the grave if it weren't for the lawyers.. JL defended PP here in his llittle letter.. all the way to the end

Interesting. The article is plain GONE. It's not even archived. http://www.truthortradition.com/ what is more intriguing.. an article about "love" takes it's place.. and old, old JL teaching.. I'm trying to figure out the message here.. what is it? "Well, we dropped the prophecy thingy. Will you leave us alone now?" Might be the closest thing to an apology.. but my friend, who was never with the vey or CES looked at it.. says something to the effect, looks like trying to still control people by defining what love is.. what does everybody else think?

Maybe that's where they put the president away, when they don't need her.. You know, wash, dry, put away..

Now it all makes sense.. Must've been right after the tooth fairy provided nitrous oxide, to facilitate removal of the tooth..

Amazing? I guess so.. you think you've solved the world's problems of ignorance, and lack of common sense (in MY opinion), then you get a post like this.. More like "the debate (with some) exists when you apply it to VPW." and.. I don't think the debate is specifically about plagiarism, with some people.. they would follow old vic out on a limb, over and down a precipice.

They overestimate themselves..
Ham replied to Ham's topic in Spirit and Truth Fellowship International
I initially started this thinking about the individuals at the top of the organization.. I still think they over-rate themselves- but look at the statement JL gave of them as a GROUP- "NOBODY ELSE has the 'package' WE offer.." thank God- one can only hope.. It's almost like they are trying to build a "kingdom of priests" or something.. had over twenty years to do it, and I can't say I behold any real results. I don't think there's a possibility of restoring the organization- I think it was sunk from the day it started. Honestly, they have had little to offer besides vics leftover theology reheated on high for sixty seconds, plus a few garnishings.. "One God One Lord"- the ONLY difference I saw in that little monument of "discovery" was an embellishment of way theology- how it dealt with the record in Colossians, where Jesus is said to create. Whoopee.. -
Well, I would rate the quarter at say, twenty five cents

anyone got "One God & One Lord"

This could be the prelude to a new Greasespot scavenger hunt game. He or she who gathers the most TWI and offshoot materials without purchasing them within a certain time period would be declared the "winner" (??). Judges decision would be final. "old" material would be checked for signs of use, including copious notes scribbled, and signs of "non tampering". -

I look at it like some kinda advertisement for CES.. "well, I'd like to see the thing, but I'd rather find one under a rock somewhere than to give those sycophants another red cent.." -

Ham replied to sonofarthur's topic in Spirit and Truth Fellowship International
I think it is kind of funny and kinda understand how somebody would like the examine the thing, but doesn't want to give them another red cent.. I wonder how many others feel this way now.. Son of Arthur, I hope you find one somewhere on the cheap.. -
and coffee..

two questions about the JAL letter
Ham replied to sprawled out's topic in Spirit and Truth Fellowship International
I think there is not one person on the planet that's not wounded.. or cut.. I think I may have started this.. my thoughts were, if JL and crew just sat down.. took time to reflect, maybe they'd find themselves- and maybe that was what they were afraid of. The business of it all.. the "responsabilities".. the rituals to be performed, often are nothing more than a diversion. They want to know that they know that they know, but they are afraid to discover themselves.. my opinion. -
The university I go to, they require engineering majors to take a class (at least one) that specifically deals with ETHICS. Even the "unbeliever" knows WHO you are is as if not more important than WHAT you know..

Yeah.. one thing to say, so many ways to say it.. -
I dunno.. I don't really think that life is some kind of high-wire balancing act, where you try to do something nice to counter-balance despicable acts.. and that's going to make everything OK.. sounds like the Pharisee's philosophy- "tithing" fixes EVERYTHING.

I think the defamation lawsuit is the least of his worries..

I dunno how much "those of the future" will thank you.. Might be kinda like digging and finding your back yard was a toxic waste dump..

I wonder how many of these were "consensual". "why it is not an affair" If these were ladies under his care, he is no better than vic, or loy.

I don't know if some people get the enormity of this.. this is a felony in most places. "but he was sooooo good preaching the bible..." yeah, mixed with poison. I agree with Exie.. the fountain there is not spewing sweet water.

Groucho, I think it's more like it chewed off three legs, and its still stuck..
