In my opinion this thread isn't about PAWTUCKET and it never really was about Pawtucket. It certainly hasn't had a thing to do with him in half a dozen pages if ever. In my experiences here at Greasespot over the past four years Paw has been remarkably consistent in his handling of situations like this. If a thread gets ugly...he makes a decision about THE THREAD and then tells the posters to work it out between themselves, preferably privately. I HAVE NEVER seen him ASK let alone DEMAND that one poster apologize to another. It is his choice to maintain the boards and threads, administer the site and expects the participants to "work out their own salvation. Now...that said, on occasion I personally have told a poster or two that I think they need to apologize to someone for something that they have said, but no matter how bad I felt the affront was I simply stated my opinion and then moved on. To my best recollection, I just cannot remember my ever having asked in the forums for another poster to be to be banned....not that I haven't thought that one or two should be. But, this isn't about Radar and what Radar wants. In my opinion this thread is just another Rocky/Zixar battle, with Zix choosing to use his belief that Pawtucket was wronged as the fuel to keep it going. Paw has not asked for Zixar's help publically, and has not demanded an apology from Rocky publically. What has transpired between the three of them privately is anybody's guess. I think that Rocky and Zixar have both behaved badly towards each other for quite a long time now. I would like to see them work out their disagreements like adult men and stay out of each other's way and off each others threads if that is what it takes. Somehow the two of them manage to start an argument over just about every topic they both end up on. These are my final thoughts on this thread. Radar Note to Laleo: I am still interested in why you believe that Rocky had another handle/persona at Waydale and said that in your post to Linda Z. If it is true...I have been in the dark for years, it just doesn't seem to be Rocky's style. Others may have done that for whatever their personal reasons or whims...but it doesn't fit for me in this context. --> Okay...I just went back and read the whole thread. Imbus, Like ExCathedra I am very sorry for the abuse and pain you have suffered and am glad to hear that you are taking steps to help yourself and salvage your life. I graduated from the 13th corps and remember the "bedside manners" class and movies that you described. That was a very wierd and dark time and you are not alone in your feelings of how creepy it was. Zix, You are right there will always be controversy over politics and religion....two of the cruelest things on earth. Even though I live in the south now, I am one of the original California girls politically and my 70 year old mom makes me look like a quaker. You and I have always managed to remain civil to each other and here is one more thing I would like to bring up to you as respectfully as I can. Please take a look at your last paragraph in the post above. I agree with you to some extent that when there is ONE common denominator in every forum brawl that the "community" may want to intervene. The problem as I see it with your logic is that there isn't just ONE common denominator in every forum brawl. There are two common denominators, one named Rocky and one named Zixar. Somewhere in this mess there has to be a realization that "without fuel, the fire goes out." And one or both of the common denominators need to be the first to bury the hatchet and move on. I know that you are clinging to the notion that Pawtucket has been wronged, but really, that is his business and not yours. He is a grown, adult man that has managed to succeed in his life for quite a few years...and he has pretty much done it on his own. He can handle this too...honest. Please, won't you and Rocky both just take a deep breath and figure out how to call a cease fire? I am not asking you guys to do a group hug or anything, just a civil posting relationship would be fine. Radar

Just another thought on all this "button pushing." Did anyone "report" CoolWaters for that HILLARIOUS but politically oriented thread she posted on the open forums....the one with all the pix of GWB? ROR CW....this is not to get you into the middle of anything, but it is a similiar situation and I am wondering if it was handled similarly or differently by the run of the mill posters here. This is not a reflection on Paw's handling of it....I am interested in the Gspot posters reactions.

Zix, Why do we want/need to find out "where a particular position" came out? Does that make someone's personal opinion more valid...more real to them? My reference to the reference wars? I honestly don't remember it being this OVERWHELMING before September 11th. That event precipitated violent opinions. If it is that all important to you to prove your point and be RIGHT....if you can document the abundant overuse of "position papers" being posted before then knock yourself out...start a new thread for that one okay? Long gone..... I am not advocating same sex marriage but I may have an answer for you. I think all 50 states have anti-incest laws that cover things like Mother/Daughter, Father/Son, Brother/Brother, Brother/Sister, Mother/Son, Father/Daughter. Actually, some states go as far as regulating the degrees to which cousins may marry. Traditionally, these types of decisions have been made on a state by state basis and are not an element of the US Constitution. I am not sure...just a thought. Slight an Aside here....My own opinion here....just my personal preference...NOT TRYING TO CONVINCE ANYONE TO ADOPT MY OPINION. You know, I REALLY DO NOT like this habit some of us here at Gspt have developed here to post these endless articles and "back stories" to support our own positions. It seemed to be an outgrowth of the S'qazi/Zixar/Rocky/Bunch of other people/ debates over in the political forums and now it has invaded the open forum. I NEVER read them, I don't care about reading them, If I wanted to read them I could find them myself.....I HAVE A COMPUTER!!! I prefer to read and consider the opinions and feelings of other posters....not the opinions and feelings of their current affairs gurus. When and how did Gspot become a DEBATE SITE where the posters are required to document their positions? I thought we were able to just voice our opinions without being forced too bring in at least one other published source. Oh well.....now I have that off my chest. Carry on!! Radar

But a few bad apples don't indicate the quality of the whole barrell do they? I was raped at age 20 by a guy in my twig. In my 40+ years I have managed to run into tens of tens of MANLY MEN that are just too disgusting to consider having a cup of coffee with, let alone spend 10 minutes with. Does that mean that I HATE ALL MEN? Thankfully, no. Many people have been victims of horrendous child abuse at the hands of their mothers or fathers...does that mean they should hate ALL MOTHERS or FATHERS? Zix, I must COMPLETELY misunderstand your point here. Are you REALLY comparing threads concerning victims of sexualabuse/coercion/rape with with a thread about a MISSING thread? In my opinion all the ....ing contests in the world, regarding politics, "mine is bigger than his", "I am always right, You are always wrong", "He is a bully, I am the righteous one" IN NO WAY COMPARE to the threads that actually provide information regarding TWI and it's practices. In the grand scheme of life...the two concepts just don't measure up...at least in my mind.
