  1. This is a great topic. Sure, it is cyber world and people come here with different baggage, emotions and most especially, different colored "lenses." I am 100% behind Catnip. I would like to think that honesty is the best policy and no one posts anything that IS NOT TRUE. Now that I have taken off those rosy colored lenses, I realize that is not true. I think if someone's purpose in posting here is to help expost the inner workings of twi and the bot/bod then they need to be 100%, PAINFULLY honest---NO SPIN. I remember back 6 & 7 years ago when I was still an innie (before Waydale,) I would go to the 2 or 3 exway sites, hoping to find something new, informative, something that would give me that last bit of the puzzle I needed to help me have the strength to finally leave twi. Very, Very often, all I found were ridiculously half baked stories, full of 1/2 truths and exagerations. I was in twi for 25 years by then, I had been on staff for a gazillion years....I could easily identify some stories as total BS, and some as so far fetched that I would break out laughing. It wasn't until Waydale came along...with real people, writing their own experiences, obviously true and from their guts that I had something to relate to. I guess what I am saying is I would rather hear the truth----the truth can set us free. Radar
  2. 3Cents is right. They came back to the N SF bay, but I was thinking they went to Santa Rosa, check there. Mark Sanguinetti maybe able to help you, just send him a Private Topic. They were great folks, Happy hunting. Radar
  3. Krys, This is the kind of actual, true and factual account that the innies and outies both need to hear. Your honest recounting of the facts are absolutely nauseating (or should be) to ANY AND ALL that have ever spent ONE SECOND praying for lcm and the board of trustees at the break of day, and at fellowships across the world. This was a family tragedy for your family and your grandkids...while this sick and devilish activities were going on, people all over the "Way Tree" were being M&A for messy houses, rowdy teens or not absing enough. What a freaking lie. Radar
  4. I second the nomination for Elmer Gantry. ROR
  5. I remember it along the lines that Alfakat does. Walter Cummins was VPWs first choice, but all the "heavy revvies" felt that Walter didn't have the personality to hold twi together after VPW died. They felt that since LCM had been the corps coordinator forever that he would have the loyalty and support of the corps household. Everybody felt that LCM DID NOT HAVE THE COMMAND of the bible that Walter did so they "compromised." LCM was to be the "public voice and face (forehead?) of twi, but he was NOT going to be the one teaching corps night to the corps, that was to be Walter Cummins domain. As I remember it, VPW did the opening night(s) of the corps in September of 1982, then corps nite was suspended (because all of the in residence corps went to hq to get ready for the innauguration.) Sometime in October 1982, when Corps nites officially resumed, the prez of twi was LCM, he opened corps nite, etc, and then turned the teachings over to be taught by Walter Cummins. He taught I and II Corinthians that year......hmmmmm, wonder why? --> Radar
  6. Cynic, I do not remember that teaching. By the 90s lcm was teaching that "those that had heard but rejected" Jesus Christ (couch term for twi) would be handled much more harshly than the unsaved that have never heard. Why do you ask? ror
  7. Rottie & Ex, Can we possibly move maniacle wife killers to a different thread...so as not confuse the average poster? I am thinking that Jal might have a tough enough time.....and as far as I know Pat Lynn survived their marriage! ROR
  8. John, Welcome. I am/was 13th corps...and have always remembered you fondly. I hope that your courage proves up to this. I am happy to correspond with you privately if you send me a private topic/message. To Gspotters, I was a Waydale lurker for 7 months before I could bring myself to post...it was the sudden emergence of Ra**h Du**fsky that gave me the strength and courage to come out of lurkdom and address him. I watched him be assaulted (I was one of the attackers,) and answer as honestly as he could. It changed my life. I just want to remind us all that John Lynn is a different man today than the man you all remember. He may (possibly) be as different as your twi memories as you are from the person you were way back then. He as had to overcome his own demons, and has possibly become a new and improved man. Before we jump all over him, crucify him, and leave him along the roadside, please allow for the growth and the passage of time has allowed him. I am NOT a ces follower, or a JAL follower. I have never been to a ces fellowship, or participated in Momentous. I am a woman that is still working daily on healing up the scars and wounds inflicted by twi. I simply believe that most of us...twi former leaders included, may have changed. Radar
  9. Don't Worry Tommy, I will take care of this for you!! New lurker,....any friend of Cindy is a friend of ours......Don't worry about Tom being a dumb bunny! He is blonde! (and yummy...at least back in the day he was ;)-->) :D--> Welcome new friend! Radar
  10. George, I think you are right! I always did get the two guys up....but I can tell Carol from Gwen! Thanks for setting the record straight. ROR
  11. Gladdy, Check the Cortright page, Ephesians 320 and some of the other exway pages. During the Waydale days, he used to stop by and give updates. Last I remember they were living in Texas (married to each other,) and had 5 or 6 adopted and foster kids. ROR:)-->
  12. Ex.... How about "sprinkle, sprinkle, little star?" NOW THAT IS A HOOT!!! ror
  13. dmiller, Early on those sheets were just for the corps, later on, in the mid to late 90s, the were still for the corps but the more zealous corps......they took it all to the mthhhdegree! So, count yourself blessed. As far as Bobby Ewing....I don't care if he rides a magic carpet to Wilmington NC,,,,,,my shower is plenty big enuf! ror
  14. Hey Oakspear! Just for the record, I WOULD NOT MIND waking up to find Bobby Ewing in MY shower!!! ror
  15. Wonder1, Just ignore the "keepers of the gate/St. Peter Ckeer,"etc. Ask away, if someone has answers that actually answers questions....like p roberge(regarding the lawsuits,) then fine, if no one answers you with a straight answer...FINE. But your "hit and run" posting asking for answers without sharing any of yourself is bound to bring out the "protectiveness/paranoia" of most ex-wayfers. Your question @ the redeemed time analysis sheets pretty much answers that you were not or have not been all that "involved" in twi. Up until about 2000, all of the way corps, fellowship coordinators, and (depending on how "committed" the fellowship coordinator is) each household believer) were REQUIRED to fill out a 'REDEEMED TIME ANALYSIS SHEET' and submit it each week to their immediate leadership. The sheets chronicled exactly how each minute of each hour, of each day was spent. For the corps and fellowship coordinators, we had to fill out 2 each week. One was how we had spent the previous week, the second was how we INTENDED to spend the next week...and of course then we compared how we THOUGHT we were going to spend our week, to how we ACTUALLY did spend our week. Since I don't know anything about you, or your twi involvment or lack there of....that is the best explanation I can offer. Have more questions? ASK AWAY. We promise to try and play nice. ROR
  16. Chas my darlin', I am spilling my guts here and all you can think is to ask about FIG PEP????? If they served fig pep with it.....I would eat it dry or with water...that stuff is nasty Hope....I tried the chicory ONE TIME....and then I operated on the same theory as I did with the fig pep, if it wasn't coffee and it wasn't caffeinated, I would just as soon drink water.....NOT THAT I AM A PICKY SNOB OR ANYTHING ;)--> Nice to see you Chas & Hope, et all. xxoo ROR
  17. Hi Jeff, Everything about the JAL letter aside, I have been thinking about you lately and was glad to see your post here. I hope you and the Mrs. are both well, happy and yes, blessed. Radar
  18. You guys crack me up. Graduating from the corps was a piece of cake compared to recovering from twi. 19 years ago, I thought I knew EVERYTHING about EVERYTHING, I thought I had the biblical solution to all problems and could see life through the very special lens of the "holy spirit," that I had a direct connection with the Father. I 'Just knew' that he talked directly to me, and as long as I was "in fellowship" that he wouldn't let me make mistakes, or be wrong. I didn't actually leave twi until just about 4 1/2 years ago......I had a lot to learn, and everyday is still a whole new ball game. ROR
  19. I graduated from the 13th Way Corps. I was 27 years old, I walked across the stage of Kenyon auditorium and received my diploma---I even have a picture to prove it. How about you other 13th....Al Poole, Waterbuffalo, Toadfriend.....anything you want to talk about? ROR
  20. Hi David Reed....haven't seen you in a while...hope you have been well. Maybe it is just me but I have to ask this question.....WHY ON EARTH WOULD SOMEONE BE INTERESTED IN SOMEONE ELSE'S CULT? God knows that my own cult has cost me a lifetime of trauma, guilt and anguish. Why would I want to go visit someone else's cult board? Radar

    Marlon Brando

Tommy, Think hard, it will come to you bubba!!! Radar
  22. Radar OReilly

    Marlon Brando

Okay you big apes! Lighten up on Marlon. I happen to think that back in the day he was one of the sexiest men to ever breathe air and you ought to consider yourselves lucky to have been on the planet at the same time as he was!!! That said, he was an awesome actor if slightly "bent." Did you see him in Guys and Dolls? or Streetcar named Desire? Or the Wild One?, or that movie where he came home from WW2 in a wheel chair? Oh man, he could play it all and was an "O" machine at the same time!!! Radar ;)-->
  23. VERY COOL!!! Your mom has taught you well! ;)--> Love, Radar ps MY mom says hi! :)-->
