Well folks, we might just have the first "movie thread" to end up in the soap opera forum. ROR Zix & P Mosh, how about taking this over to join the OTHER Fahrenheit debate in the caffeinated Politic forum?

:D-->

I went to see it yesterday. As we were exiting the film at the end, I was walking out behind a 40 something dad with his late teen/early twenties daughter. He looked at her and said, "well?" she looked at him and said, "YEAH, I AM GONNA VOTE." I think ALL AMERICANS (not ANY, not EVERY) but all Americans of voting age should see this movie, if, for no other reason than to get EVERYBODY OUT TO VOTE, for whoever they want to. Radar

Dante, Yes they are extwi/ex way corps. I wonder how you got on their snail mail list? Anyway....I love your sign off quote...that is from The Man that Killed Liberty Valance isn't it? ror:)-->
-
Tom, He does sign his name on the letter....he just doesn't put his corps number ;)--> ROR x10.....let me get this straight, Dante gets a letter out of no where, from people he doesn't know, asking for money, giving a website, and it isn't okay for us to talk about it? Under most situations I would completely, 100% agree with you, but these people are actively seeking publicity and money. ror

Wasn't Anthony Gilmore 5th or 7th or one of those earlier "odd numbered" corps wasn't he? And according to x10th he wasn't related to Diane was 12th. :D--> Dr. Strangelove, I have been to Belize and Costa Rica. Both countries have large and well developed American "ex patriot" communities, where Americans are retiring and living high on the hog on virtually peanuts. I have thought about it myself, but not til they get a grip on their skeeters and spiders! Radar

Wierwille books on eBay - going for HIGH $$$
Radar OReilly replied to Jeff USAF RET's topic in About The Way
If you all are talking about Order My Steps In My Word it was Written by VPW and released while he was alive. VPW died in May of 1985, the last year I was in residence in the 13th WC. The corps had been instructed prior to his death to read that book over and over, paying special attention to the chapters of Transferring of Power (or something like that, mine is in storage) and Heirs Together in the Grace of Life. When he died, I was at Emporia, geting ready to graduate and as previously mentioned we had a week off to "reflect, pray and grieve....and read those chapters over and over." I read those chapters as least 100 times each, and got a killer suntan while doing it. ;)--> Radar Perhaps you all are remembering him talking about it and selling it from the stage of the auditorium during the opening of the auditorium during March of 1985. I was on LEAD during that time.....I don't know about all of you, but I had a GREAT TIME!!!! -
I did!!! Nice to see you toady:)--> ROR

EWDaryl & furry friend, Can we change that to Rhinos fly, or cows jump over the moon, or hell freezes over or sumpin? That Pigs flying thing might be too much pressure on Psalmie!! :D--> xxoo, ror Radar

My all time favorite was "The Price He Paid for Me." Loved it way back then and love it now. I think that it was Stevie Kay that did "It's a Wonder." WayferNot....Ellie and Vickie can be found happy, healthy, & prospering in the Creedmore North Carolina telephone book. ROR

Hooner, I think you learned the same lesson as those of us that were ACTUALLY in twi are just now beginning to learn. OUR PARENTS MIGHT NOT HAVE BEEN COMPLETE AND TOTAL IDIOTS. Your mom was right then, and she is right now. One of the most damaging aspects of cult participation, is that we cannot tell the difference anymore between "cult truth" and "real and Godly truth." I don't know anything about you, your age, your education, your family, which off shoot you were in, but my advice to you is to start from scratch. Put away EVERYTHING you were taught in your offshoot. Get a brand new bible (if you are ready) and start from basics. It is a long and arduous task, I personally cannot look at my twi bible though I still have it (out in the back forty of my yard, in the storage shed.) My experience says that you will need to put away everything "off shoot" and start from scratch. There are lots of folks here at Gspot that can really help you in your search. My email is in my profile, so are a number of others that are just a few years ahead of you on your path to recovery. Radar

HI Ted!! I am sorry if your feelings have been hurt by this thread....twi music brings up tons of emotions both sad and happy. I am glad to see you responded so honestly and with such an even outlook. I remember the 70s way prod fondly--it was old fashioned, funky and slightly nerdy, for the most part, the 80's way prod with sceptism (CAN YOU SAY ATHLETES OF THE SPIRIT???) and the 90s way prod with distain....(Wash my feet in the blood of the Wicked was TYPICAL NOT singulary!) Over all.....my all time favorite, was "The Price He Paid for Me." Beautiful lyrics, beautiful music and beautifully sung by Dean Ellenwood. My skin crawls at "Wash my feet in the Blood of the Wicked." Not only because of the creepy words, but mostly because of the entire mind set of twi, the song writer, the performers and Way Productions at the time. The songs were a reflection of the leadership of twi and Way Prod at the time. There was NO DELIVERANCE, NO MINISTERING, NO BLESSING. For people like Ted and Hope and Socks, they were TRYING to reflect the love of God in their hearts, to bless the people that heard their words and songs. By the 90s every thing from Way Prod was an extension of their attempt to subliminally put forth their propaganda. Can one of you techno-weenies bring up the WAY PRODUCTIONS THREAD? Radar George Aar----that was awesome George. You are an honest man that can speak his heart and conscience. xxoo ROR GeorgeStGeorge------START YOUR OWN DAMN THREAD

Raf, Raf, Raf, Raf, Raf -->, Like anything else, twi had a "parallel universe" going on regarding the bookstore. YES, without reservation, I can say that twi had a closed door policy regarding bookstore sales to "non active grads, M&A, and the general open public. The door was closed, and each name from the field was checked against the active twi field "book of life." My personal opinion is that if twi has opened the doors and reversed their policy on bookstore sales, it is in direct response to some legal advice from their attorneys. Radar

Why did I stay? This is much easier to answer than why did I leave. I stayed because I really, really, really, believed that twi was God's ministry to the world, and that I was answering God's call to serve him. Why did I stay? Because I felt that there were people to win to the Lord Jesus Christ, and that twi was the one true ministry that would lead them to repentence. Why did I stay? Because I believed that the bible taught was true, and real and energized and rightly divided...the only place in the world that had the true path to righteousness. Why did I stay? Because I thought I was right. Radar

Oh geezzzzzzz MJ!!!! You are so hard to please!!! ;)--> ROR

((((MJ))), I am very sorry.....I apologize for throwing fuel on the derail. Why did I leave? Leaving twi was the single hardest thing I have ever done. I was in 28 years.....in when I was 14, did all that anyone could ever do, including 9 years on staff at headquarters after I graduated from the corps. Why did I leave? Because I could no longer reconcile what I saw with what I was taught. I could no longer whole heartedly support the decisions made by what I knew to be true and believed to be carnal leadership. Why did I leave? Because I would break out in tears at just the thought of having to go to fellowship. Radar

Count me in on this hand. Refiner, I don't believe much of what you have said here at Greasespot. I am not saying that you are a bad person, just that you have not been honest here. Want to start over? And tell the truth this time? This is a good place, really. You can be honest, tell the truth, and maybe, just maybe find what you are looking for. Radar

Will TWI and CFF re-unite now that their differences are gone?
Radar OReilly replied to pjroberge's topic in About The Way
PAT!!!! Are you on drugs ??? If so. I want some right now!!! :D--> No way, no how, under no circumstances, for any reason, will CFF and TWI ever be united in anyway. Radar -
Vickles, This is an awesome story and one that I hope you will continue to hold dear. God HEALS, that is HIS JOB, and he has done it for thousands of years. He is not a respecter of persons, OR situations, he is a loving father that cares for all of his children...."he who sees the sparrow fall, will hear our call," etc. DO NOT let twi define you in ANY WAY. Your life, your spirituality, they are between you and the ALMIGHTY. To doubt this healing because of past twi teachings "handicaps" you in your path to righteousness. Radar

Good Save Tommy!! ;)--> ROR

Hey Lorna, And besides that, how many of us started our "post twi" lives with a closet full of $1500 suits and a gazillion pair of 300 & 400 dollar shoes? Just facing facts, those kind of clothes do help in an interview situation. ROR

Maybe it is just me, but any movie that has Brad Pitt in a skirt and thong (even if they are only thong sandals :(-->) is a movie that I definitely want to see!!! :D--> ROR

JT, I can't figure out WHEN you were in...either really early or really late. The Victors were early to mid 80s and were a BARBERSHOP quartet. Actually they were pretty good, sang old time biblely songs, and some fun stuff, my favorite being "I'm my own grandpa." They were Doug Cosmos, Dave DeMars, Fred Grant and 1 more but I can only remember his wife's name (???).....any takers? ROR Megan, you can find Dave Lutz and Fred Grant thru CFFM.org
