  1. Thanks for that Oldies..I thought his article made a lot of sense. So, is there an easy way to explain to some of us how to post a link ?
  2. One of the best (short) articles I've ever read about forgiveness was a reprint in readers digest entitled 'when forgiveness is a sin'. I don't know how to put the link up, but I checked and one can read it by googling.. when forgiveness is a sin Dennis Prager
  3. No you wern't evil Dooj, but I know when I was Catholic I was just plain ignorant !
  4. Hey Chas..I think if people were honest they would admit that they believe THEIR church IS THE church. That goes for JW's,. Mormons, heck, even dyed in the wool Catholics. Even if they personally don't subscribe to the idea, the further up their 'elitist' ladder you look the more prevalent that line of thinking goes.
  5. Thats' great..there IS a church out there for everyone !
  6. And as I have said before, Mohammed married a 9 year old girl called 'Aisha' and 'consumated' the marriage when she turned 11. Stinking paedophile. BIG differn'ce between Mohammed and Jesus doncha' think !
  7. Unfortunately for Craig (and a few others) their conscience has been 'seared with a hot iron'. IF there was any genuine remorse they would have 'many levels' of sewerage in their minds to rise above.
  8. aaahh..except for the point that Jesus many times spoke prophetically and inspired utterances which I believe was one of these occasions. It may even have surprised Jesus at times at what came out of his mouth !!

    Big Love

So in what way did I 'attack' Mo in my post ? I think Belle you're being 'hysterical' again. This from someone who asked if WD and I were married ? because she didn't like some of our posts ?! Belle, I thought you had me on ignore ? Pretty close to 'lying' don't you think !! Anyways...the 'mainstream' Mormon church is closer to some of these split-offs than you seem to know (or acknowledge) Particularly in some of the South Pacific Islands where polygamy amongst the Mormons is turned a blind eye to. It is only government laws that refrains the 'mainstream' LDS church from practising this belief and a number of others. I was told this by an ex-LDS Bishop and also saw some of this whilst I was living in the Islands.
  10. To me what Belle is really saying is.." please moderator, I know I'm whingeing again but someone has again said something that I don't like, can you ban them from posting. I can only handle insults and personal attacks when it's me spewing 'em." Good on you Oldies and others who speak their mind (regardless whether I or anyone else agrees with what is posted).

    Big Love

That's why I get a bit annoyed with a certain poster who likes to promote her LDS 'cult' on an (ex-cult) forum. It just doesn't seem right, but I guess this IS an open forum !
  12. Sorry Kit, I hope you didn't think I was implying that sickness and/ or lack of healing has everything to do with lack of believing/ sin. Our corruptible bodies are just not built for the longhaul, all I have stated is ( some) of the healings I have seen through direct ministering. I also have witnessed a number of healings through medicines and alternative medicines. Jeff Rath has an excellent site on this type of thing. Bless ya.
  13. It may have been a 'small' representation of other churches that Rickyq spoke to BUT it IS a fair representation of what the people in the churches think. JW's thunk that Jesus is/ was the archangel Michael. The Mormons believe that Jesus is Lucifers brother, others just don't think at all...so I think Rickyq's observation was an astute one. Having said that..I think anyones decision to go back to TWI means that only one half of their brain is functioning properly..sorry Rickyq !!
  14. so Mo..what is the view of the Mormon church towards all the differn't splinter Mormon groups, i.e. the reformed Mormon church etcc..I think there are about 15 big ones. and would they be warmly welcomed at any of your sevices..I don't think so. I don't mind you proffering your church on the forums but please remember the pot and kettle scenario.
  15. Pond, oldies, may not have gone in rez but they have hit the nail on the head concerning peoples and their motivations etc.. My wife and I were talked into going into the family corps by our country co-ord. and we (thought it was a good idea at the time) ! However, once in corps our 'eyes of understanding were definitely enlightened'. Affairs going on, brushed under the carpet when exposed, people in rez who REALLY shouldn't have been there but because they were 'loaded with cash' obviously meant something etc.. Of course, when the news went round that we were quitting and going home, I had Mosq**a threaten to throw me out of third story window if I talked to anyone about why we were leaving. and then the phone call from Jean yv*s de Li**e offering to pay our airfare home IF we kept our mouths shut. Yeah..eyes of understanding enlightened bigtime.
  16. Patriot and White Dove..that is probably the best example of a 'Minister'. Someone who has committed to a lifetime of 'ministering' Gods' Word to bring healing and general wellbeing etc.. A minister is one who sticks with it through 'thick and thin', basically 'broken bread' for people. Whether they feel like it or not, whether it brings them personal satisfaction or not, they are prepared to minister. Many people may 'minister' things at certain times but imo that does not make them a minister for Jesus Christ.
  17. All I can say at this point is that I have wondered for awhile now IF there is (differn't) types of holy spirit. i.e. the holy spirit that descended on Jesus being the same as OT holy spirit yet differn't to NT holy spirit ? I know it says there is ONE spirit but I'm wondering if there could be (variation) of it ?? I think I need a coffee !!
  18. I go along with SOME of the things Mike has recounted via PFAL...It seems upon reading KJV that in the OT Satan definitely was after the men and women that had hs upon, ie..Job, David, Adam, Jeremaiah etc..It seems that he (Satan) really delighted in the 'spirit' being taken away from them. I.e. therefore, it MUST have been conditional.

    TWI's God

Oh yeah...and they kept asking me over and over "do I believe Joseph Smith was a prophet ?" Whats the deal with that ? I just said to them that IF he was, he sure wasn't a very accurate one !! Yeah, o.k. 'celestial heaven' for the reeeeaaally good Mormons (or anyone who can keep the covenants) so what are the 'covenants' Mo ? No coffee, no smoking, temple weddings etc.. hmm , am I getting warm Mo ? And you say TWI promoted an 'elitist' attitude, shame on you Mo !!
  20. Well..I guess we can be a Trophimus..left behind feeling sick, or we can be one of the many healed in Jesus' name. I think I know which one I'd rather be.My wife ministered to my son when he was a little boy and in the middle of a 'chronic asthma' attack. He recovered never to get asthma again. I was personally present when an 8 year old girl in a coma was ministered to and in 20 minutes she was sitting up, healed. These are more frequent than some of you seem to realise. With what I have seen, I cannot turn back.... DAMMITT !!!! I think Pastor Piper picked a peck of pickled scripture.
  21. Thanks Roy...I'm ready, (gulp) !

    TWI's God

Hi Mo..IIIIIII was actually quite nice with them, didn't want to really 'shake their faith' you know. However one of them was quite interested in learning more about 'living in grace'.That it was not available for OT believers to have the 'faith of Jesus' sort of shook 'em. One of them was quite belligerent and indeed asked me if I was happy for my family to be condemned for eternity( I guess the old 'fear' tactic) but after talking to him a bit longer about what he meant, he said that we would not be able to be in Mormon heaven. Oh darnnnn. Regarding what other churches teach....come on, very few teach JCinG, dead are dead, manifestations, God is good ALWAYS etc.. all in the one place. Kernels of truth yes, but not the 'whole bowl of wax' so to speak..nice try though !!
  23. Lets not forget 'Cliffhanger'...."So you wanna kill me ? Take a ticket and join the line"
  24. Thats right Kit..combine the holy spirit experience with relevant and vibrant music and songs and it all adds up to one awesome time.

    TWI's God

Geesh..I've been on holiday for a week only to come back and find the 'Wierwille haters' fraternity are still gnashing their teeth!! Whilst on holiday I had a couple of 'sweet' 'templeboys' attempt to witness to me in the street. To cut a long story short, they pronounced judgement on me and my family because we tried to show them grace, not legalism rules !! So TL, I see through these facades..o.k.
