The Good, the Bad and the Ugly of corps training
oldiesman replied to skyrider's topic in About The Way
Somehow I get the feeling that VP didn't literally mean that... but that our commitment should be that fanatical about the Word, and preserving it. It does make a great sound byte. Who knows, maybe he had a little too much drambuie that day. -
What was once an absolute "yes" answer, has turned into "it's possible".

I loved the movie JFK. Some believe it was the CIA who were protecting themselves from Kennedy. Some believe it was the mafia. Some even believe it was the Israeli Mossad in cooperation with the Jewish Mob, who had it in for Kennedy because he was against Israel becoming a nuclear state. Here's a related quote: Reuven Pedatzer in the Israeli newspaper, Ha'aretz, February 5, 1999, reviewing Avner Cohen's new book, "Israel and the Bomb".Whoever did it, one thing I believe -- Lee didn't act alone, if at all...

Now that is really unbelievable. I can imagine someone in twi saying you should have been turned over to satan, for the betrayal... but accusing you of being a seed boy? Do you remember who said this and what time period?

For me, there was no difference. When I signed for the 6th, I made a commitment to serve in twi for a lifetime, which was synonymous with serving in the body of Christ, or doing Christian service. I do believe serving in twi can be Christian service. But I also believe the reverse is possible too. I think the difference is all based upon the mindset of the individual making the decision.

Doojable, I'm not angry at all. I was happy to help out when I could. Of course, sometimes I said "no", like the time someone I really didn't like that much asked me to sponsor him. It went something like this: "can you sponsor me"? "well I'm already sponsoring two other people" "can you sponsor a third"? :( That is bold, but also selfish. I'm glad I didn't.

Golly, I doubt my letters are gonna be as harsh as yours, Belle. Most of mine are of the 70's and 80's. :)
-
If this thread can be limited to letters, it'd be great. I'd love to read all who freely avail to share them. :)
-
Ricky, please feel free to share what you are being taught in the class.
-
Ck I agree with you. Belle, thanks so much for starting this thread. You hit a home run. :) I've been wanting to search through my Way Memorabilia for some time now, and this thread may motivate me to do that.

Oh ok, it wasn't Rascal that allowed herself to get pregnant. Blame the male ... yeah, it was the males fault. Heck, I should have already realized she was probably coerced into it anyway. Had to be ... Belle, you took me off of ignore?
-
Rascal, I simply don't believe it when you say you were forced to have an abortion. You had a choice, and you chose to sign the consent form. Yet you accept no responsibility for that action, and simultaneously, blame twi's corp program to boot. You had a choice to leave the corps if you wanted, and have your baby. You opted not to. And yet you still blame twi? egads.. I'm sick of hearing this sob story. You are constantly playing the finger-pointing, helpless victim. Regarding calling you a liar ... when I disagree with your post I am entitled to say so, and why. I'm also entitled to state my opinion that you are communicating horseradish. People are entitled to have opinions that differ from yours. If you don't like that, that's too bad ... but varying opinions is what makes Greasespot Cafe a great place to be. And thanks to Lindyhopper for letting me say all this on his thread. :)
