Sower Magazine of CES (STFI) has been free of charge. However I just received notice they are now asking the spiritual tightwad hitchhikers to get up off our butts and start contributing. Here's their wording: The two main ways people support this work is through the Partnership Program or by making occasional contributions. The party's over. I thought it might come to this.

Could this be a sign for you to Freely Avail once more?

There were times he was a loving, gentle, caring man. Other times he was harsh, cold and ruthless. His fruit varied. Which is why it'd be foolish to determine what the truth is, based upon his actions one way or the other. I agree WD.

That's an interesting point. Then is it possible we can be righteous and unrighteous at the same time? I think so. But I think we are talking about two kinds of righteousness. What we are in Christ Jesus, the new man, God imputing unto us, making us righteous, no matter what we do in the flesh, is one kind of righteousness. It is the new man, the new creation, righteous, because of what Christ did for us. It is our legal position in Christ. But then we are unrighteous when we sin. Our flesh, which is carnal, is unrighteous or at least prone to it, because we are carnal. God promises to cleanse us when we confess our sin.

From what I've seen, I think the evidence shows that our continued alliance with this country has cost us way way more in lives and money than any return we may have received from it. You are free to explain what we have gained in return for the $100 billions past donations, and perpetual donations, and continued lives lost, to protect this ally. ...

I wholeheartedly disagree. Many folks continue to benefit from the truth taught; ... folks right in twi, folks from the offshoots, folks who no longer fellowship with any group, and future folks who hear the truth thru the past efforts of Dr. Wierwille and others who held forth and continue to hold forth the truth. I do not look upon my past donations to twi as extorted money. I gave that money with the sincere desire and belief of seeing the Word of God move, and it did when I gave it, and is still continuing to do so even now thru the aforementioned. Of course this doesn't mean the Word isn't moving outside of the influences of all that was/is twi, but also doesn't mean that money once donated to twi went for "zippo".

I didn't say it was the most viable reason, nor do I necessarily believe that. But what I responded to was the question "Why is protecting Israel so bad" and I gave a reasonable answer based upon evidence from someone who was in a position to know.

The idea that the U.S. invaded Iraq to protect Israel, thereby shedding U.S. blood, isn't that far fetched and has some weight. READ THIS

For the same reason it was bad trying to protect South Vietnam. Connect the dots. We as a country take huge losses in lives and money, with little or nothing to gain.

Have you thought about doing a complete "destructive" recovery? It'll bring the IE back to workable condition, as when you bought it. If you decide to do that, copy any stuff you want to keep onto CD's DVD's or a portable disk drive.

I give him credit for putting all eggs in one basket for the perpetual movement of the Word of God he taught. That was what I was contributing to, and wanted to see continued and perpetuated; ... not the fortune and/or inheritance of the Wierwille family per se.

Which shows again and again God's will of the highest order is love and forgiveness.

If your computer is more than 5 years old, I'd chuck it and buy a new one. I recently bought a new one after 4 years... am very happy.

Cheer up Cool. Look at it this way, the more you took the class, the cheaper it was. $100 X 10 = $10.00 per class. $100 x 15 = $6.66 per class. $100 X 20 = $5.00 per class. $100 X 25 = $4.00 per class.

Pointing out other religions has a purpose in that it is good food for thought. It asks of the viewer the basic question, "would you think that of another church that you may like, or a sinner with a different church", or "would you have the same relentless finger-pointing condemnational intensity" who's members in the other church do the same thing, or worse? It may help cut some hypocritical thinking, and help to keep some things in perspective.

Skyrider, I get where you're coming from and agree with you. I first took PFAL in 1973 at a one-week summer camp off of Long Island. There you couldn't just get up and leave unless you had a boat. :) But I loved it, and was expecting every part of it. I spoke in tongues a few weeks before the class, so for me, it wasn't an ambush at all, it was exhilerating. But I get what you're saying. Dr. Wierwille himself dropped in on the very last segment, after we spoke in tongues, and there was this guy who was having a problem. Dr. led him into speaking in tongues right there. And I hope it was genuine, and the guy wasn't just faking it. BTW, one of my pet peeves about running PFAL classes was having to "set a date", then having to later cancel, because not enough people signed up. I wrote to hq about that. Yeah I get this. PFAL was way too marketed when it didn't have to be .... heck perhaps folks didn't even have to take it at all if you had a wonderful fellowship like I had.

To get to that belief, I look at the blessings received in twi, believe they were genuinely from God, and believe God thru his grace and mercy worked with folks like Wierwille to get people the truth. I'm not saying everything he taught was truth, but lots of it was.
