  1. Eagle, you are free to pm or email me anytime.
  2. Bagpipes, When I first took the Advanced Class in 1978, I hadn't been going to twig for 6 months prior to that point. Now one not only must be a faithful participant, but also report to them once a month with an update? Golly they must have a lot of free time on their hands.
  3. I just got an email from STFI about this subject and thought it'd be appropos to share: Healthy Submission
  4. I still love reading Proverbs and do respect it greatly, even tho' the author murdered raped and pillaged in the name of God.
  5. You seem to base your belief on the false accusation that it is idolatry that makes us hold fast to the truths we have learned. I hold fast to them because for one, they make sense and they work, for me, and also from some biblical admonition to "prove all things, hold fast that which is good". We learned lots of good things in twi. Golly, if we all went around accusing others of idolatry because we hold fast certain truths, we'd be calling each other idolators all day long. But I don't play that game, it's just a waste of time. Surely there are better things for us to do, like pray for each other; ... just one thing we learned in twi that works.
  6. Eagle you are free to pm or email me anytime. That goes for anyone else.
  7. You can have your pets implanted in case they ever get lost.
  8. And as to what he said about what he decided was worth keeping, he said "lots of the stuff I teach is not original". If he was trying to promote the idea that his teachings were original, i.e., learning from his own study exclusive from anyone else's, why would he tell us "lots of the stuff I teach is not original"? And why would he offer stories about who he learned from, throughout the years? And why would he have arranged for many of the books he learned from, to be in the Way Bookstore? A person who hides his sources does not do these things.
  9. It's easier than you think to get shot out in the woods. Happened to me once ... I was rabbit hunting with a friend and a rabbit darted in between us, and my partner shot the rabbit, but I was in the line of fire a few yards back. I got hit pretty good in the legs... no broken skin but lots of stinging. Lucky for me the shot pellets weren't larger in diameter.
  10. It's too bad we can't post all the PFAL chapters and collaterals on this thread, for review and comment; ... but I understand that would possibly be a copyright infringement, unless permission to post is granted. Am I nuts for thinking it might be possible?
  11. I still believe in believing, both positive and negative.
  12. Mark, it seems there is no definition of "more than abundant" from PFAL, .... the closest I see to a definition is in the introduction on Page 4, where VP writes:
  13. Mark, I vaguely recall a tape teaching from 1973 where VP said that one is living a more than abundant life, when one has good health, clothing, food, shelter, ... and no fear, no worry, no anxiety, etc. He added something else from Jesus Christ is not God.... I don't have the book in front if me, but he wrote something like "that life that is eternal, and therefore, more than abundant." So I think he changed his meaning over time and the last one was from JCING.
  14. Cool, I don't have an answer to your question...i'll have to put this in ebayance. D-break for me
  15. Golly, wouldn't it be great if God gave us a perfectly renewed mind, as well? We wouldn't have to do anything except let it run on automatic... :)
  16. God. He has been known to talk with sinners.
  17. Right on Rascal. Romans says we prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God by renewing the mind. That is works... Romans 13:14 "But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ..." That is works... Victor Paul WierwillePower For Abundant Living Page 329
  18. A simple guy, I understand what you're saying, but I think you'd have to know Mike's heart to know if he's magnifying his works above Christ. Besides, this topic really isn't about Mike, it's really about whether PFAL teaches the Word of God. If it does not, we should chuck it... But if it does, we would do well to master it. Or those parts that teach God's Word. Why do you think many folks still cling to PFAL? Because of Wierwille? Nah. Because although it isn't perfect, PFAL teaches God's Word many times over. Just review the materials if you like, and you will see it all over again.
  19. How in the world can someone who pushes PFAL exalt PFAL above Christ, when PFAL itself exalts Christ? That's like saying I won't drink Drambuie, but I will drink scotch. It's the same darn thing, with a little honey added.
  20. A Simple Guy, Welcome to Greasespot. I don't think Mike has exalted PFAL above the finished work of Jesus Christ. To the contrary, much of the PFAL materials expound the finished work of Jesus Christ, and all that He accomplished for us. So by mastering PFAL, one delves in Christ's accomplishments. Here are some examples: You are Righteous Now The Unqualified Commitment The Palms of God Release from Your Prisons God Rescued Us Your Power of Attorney One Baptism Simon of Cyrene and the Cross Christ Bore As He Is, So Are We Ekklesia Bride or Body? Confession of Belief Yields Receipt of Confession God is our Sufficiency Broken Body and Shed Blood We have this Treasure in Earthen Vessels Are You Limiting God? The Church the Great Mystery Revealed Complete in Him The Bondage of the Sabbath Day God's Resting Place Filled to Overflowing The Final Victory
  21. Golly if Christ is back then someone please ask him to come over for a Drambuie.
  22. I would agree, Wierwille was no Solomon. Solomon did far more evil.
