  1. in a cult if: You have to say CHRIST JESUS because he's the glorified one JESUS CHRIST is the degraded one. In a cult if: Whenever "life" was happening around you (flat tire, broken water pipe) you were told to drop everything and "YOU NEEDED THE CLASS!" (even though you'd had it 10x prior)
  2. Boyfriend - I sat in ready to leave anytime -- but I wasn't allowed to ask questions until the end during the process. I'm happy for what I learned and it did answer alot of questions I had growing up in a "religion." It did free me from one addiction - which I am proud to say I have never returned to.
  3. Interesting. I have college education and was told by my "leader" I was beginning to sound like the educated mumbo jumbo. I never try to out do myself, just speak my opinions and was told "be careful who I hang around." Which in turn means - screw college education..... That never left me.......I was highly annoyed.
  4. Why did ya'll get sent to "The Tracker" school? And then told you were possessed or ridiculed. . . if they encouraged it? I'm confused.
  5. LOL! Funny thing though - I was going through some music I have on the computer and came across a song -- it was about how we were superhereos with Christ and the 9 manifestations! I immediately thought of this guy and thread....Ha!
  6. Thanks Belle -- for some reason whenever I make sweet tea (and it's along the same lines you posted) it just never tastes that great. (sigh) As for Twinky's advice I made some tea tonight in a pot of boiling water and kept it boiling -- added just a little sugar and let it simmer for 15 minutes. It turned out good and I'm refrigerating it for cold tea. Thanks for the advice Twinky as I use to make hot tea by placing the bag in a cup of cold water, microwaving for 2 minutes and steeping for five with a plate over the cup.......you can cringe now and call me a "bloody American." LOL
  7. Thanks Twinky! I don't have a teapot but wanted to know your opinion about bringing water to a boil and placing tea bags in boiling water and then covering with a lid and turning off the heat. Is that sort of the same technique? Being from the USA -- we just don't value a hot cup of tea like the British, however, I can say that tea houses are being established around my area - but it's about $15 per person for cucumber sandwiches and tea. Eek! One day I will try it though. I'm sure it's the best the tea ever -- or it better be...haha! I would like to ask the forum about Southern Sweet Tea. Anyone have a good recipe for down home south southern sweet tea?
  8. I received his permission to post this: "It was called something like Christian Research and Fellowship......I was a recruit or whatever from summer 05 til winter/spring 06. ....The group had some centering in Central Florida (they pound the UCF for people to come to Fellowships). I went to the Fellowship of the guy who trained the missionaries and sent them out. They had some military sounding name for it... like something Corp. Anyways every December they have their "advanced class" in/near Destin Florida up on the coast of the panhandle. They rent out a resort and most of the membership show up... it isn't that large, although at first they make it seem like membership is in the thousands... i think if 200 people are at the advanced class they'd be happy... I vloged about it because i was telling a friend of mine on youtube about it and he said i should make a vid on it and linked me to his video response on escaping christianity. But yeah no PFAL or any classes. Lucked out. I did "learn how to speak in tongues" and they taught me a bunch of other stuff early, but no official learning. I just remembered the leaders name... Hendricks... Ugh forget his first name... I think he lived in Marietta, Georgia his last few years. He'd record sermons and mail them out in bulk across the US. His family is sending out old sermons now via the mail. You cant unsubscribe... I still get some routed to (the state I'm in). Anyways pretty sure it was Christian Research and Fellowship or something like that. Virtually nothing on the net about them. They were anti-internet to the extreme." He offered his e-mail address to post here but I don't feel comfortable doing that. He's not a member here but said he found this site the day before he was to take the PFAL.
  9. I commend the guy for putting together a website --- however, I did have to grab a box of crackers for the cheese! LOL - What people do....superhero theme.....well, if he reaches one soul it will be worth it.
  10. I found this vlog interesting and wonder how recent his experience is. I particularly noted and concurred with his stated of how loving they seem and if you disagree then you feel like a jackarse....or something along those lines. It's like - we've done all this for you.....and you're greatful but at the same time you didn't really ask and it's as though you are pushed in a corner. Anyone else had that experience?

Haha - That was cute Polar! Here's one I just read and I didn't want to start a new thread ---- The Pastor's @s$ The pastor entered his donkey in a race and it won. The pastor was so pleased with the donkey that he entered it in the race again, and it won again. The local paper read: PASTOR'S @s$ OUT FRONT The Bishop was so upset with this kind of publicity that he ordered the pastor not to enter the donkey in another race. The next day, the local paper headline read: BISHOP SCRATCHES PASTOR'S @s$. This was too much for the bishop, so he ordered the pastor to get rid of the donkey. The pastor decided to give it to a nun in a nearby convent. The local paper, hearing of the news, posted the following headline the next day: NUN HAS BEST @s$ IN TOWN. The bishop fainted. He informed the nun that she would have to get rid of the donkey, so she sold it to a farmer for $10. The next day the paper read: NUN SELLS @s$ FOR $10. This was too much for the bishop, so he ordered the nun to buy back the donkey and lead it to the plains where it could run wild. The next day the headlines read: NUN ANNOUNCES HER @s$ IS WILD AND FREE. The bishop was buried the next day! The moral of the story is: being concerned about public opinion can bring you much grief and misery...and even shorten your life. So be yourself and enjoy life. Stop worrying about everyone else's @s$!
  12. Thanks Waysider, Do you recall who the authors are?
  13. I found the Bo Rehard Orientalisms online -- thanks for all the insite. Anyone ever heard of the Collaterals: So you want to read faster... and Understanding what you read?
  14. Black pudding - an Irish staple. I did try a bite once -- just to do it. It wasn't bad -- but just knowing what it was made from was more psychological. "Black pudding or less often blood pudding is a sausage made by cooking blood with a filler until it is thick enough to congeal when cooled. The term blood sausage (first attested in 1868) is a North American term that may be a translation from German "Blutwurst". Blood sausage has become a useful term for similar blood-based solid foods around the world. Pig or cattle blood is most often used; sheep and goat blood are used to a lesser extent. Blood from poultry, horses and other animals are used more rarely. Typical fillers include meat, fat, suet, bread, sweet potato, barley and oatmeal."
  15. I always thought Toad in the Hole was this - which also goes by "egg in a basket, Moon over Miami and Bulls Eye." But I've also read it is a traditional British dish comprising sausages in Yorkshire pudding batter, usually served with vegetables and gravy. Toad in the hole is also a pub game, involving throwing brass discs at a hole in a box. A variation of this game has been played in pubs in East Sussex, UK, the 'hole' being in the centre of a large wooden seat set against the wall, the back of the seat being a surface to rebound your shot off. Toad in the hole is a more refined version of the coin-throwing game Pitch penny.Seems like the Brits love "toads."
  16. A traditional Irish breakfast -- I sort of miss it! Not the black pudding though. Hey, where's the toast -- they left that out! I couldn't believe there wasn't any peanut butter in England And the Brits sure love their baked beans on toast.
  17. Okay - I posted I wasn't clear on your question -- but I think I get it now. I do believe SIT has great benefit as TWI is not the only group to ever teach that. I do think it's supernatural that sometimes other people can understand what is being said since it's s tonuge of humans and angels. I believe in that. Worship is loving God with all your heart. The heart is the seat of the personal being. In order to be born again your heart must confess with your mouth that Jesus Christ rose from the dead and you believe. Belief is a heart and confession mixture. I can't give much more info...I'm sure others will have input.
  18. shill –noun 1. a person who poses as a customer in order to decoy others into participating, as at a gambling house, auction, confidence game, etc. 2. a person who publicizes or praises something or someone for reasons of self-interest, personal profit, or friendship or loyalty. –verb (used without object) 3. to work as a shill: He shills for a large casino. –verb (used with object) 4. to advertise or promote (a product) as or in the manner of a huckster; hustle: He was hired to shill a new TV show.
  19. Wow, WG - you have been through alot. I've noticed from what I was taught that you were always suppose to run any decision by a leader and that never sat well with me. Why? Because God is big enough to tell me himself. I wasn't raised Catholic where everything has to be confessed to a priest and that's what training in TWI sounded like. I am still thankful for what I learned and the time the person spent with me but it was little things like that which always kept me a little in "Outfield"
  20. Oh my - this all rings so true to what I was taught and fought every line.....
  21. I don't see why not either -- just make sure they are sealed well in a ziploc bag or container. I've never left them in the freezer more than a day, so I really don't know. Haha.... I'm SO GLAD you like them!
