some "rock officianados" credit this song, originally released in 1955, as being the "official birth" of rock'n'roll................i don't agree with that opinion, but, i gotta admit that it did begin to open the doors for the "bastard child of the blues" to become accepted into the musical "family" of the more "cultured" music that preceded it.........whatever opinions folks might have about rock'n'roll, nobody can deny that rock'n'roll is one of america's most lasting contributions to the worldwide music scene............as american as the blues and jazz, and, like it or not, at least as "influential" to music history as both its previous "truly american" musical relatives!..........just my opinion..........peace. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7sXSg-1ITR4...feature=related#
