  1. Exactly. They would be in jail for child abuse.
  2. What ever it takes for some. You hit the nail on the head, ex10
  3. coolchef. You left me short on what was said. Ohh it sounds so true from twi but could you tell us what happened or what was said?
  4. Well you would think if I was going to stay in their house. I would have atleast asked.
  5. My best confrontation was with T*m and Ba(*bra La$$y. I was heading out to in residense corps. I was going from NC to KS and a person was going to VA Beach. I helped her move there. She was to spend the first few nights at the T&m and Ba$bs till she was set up for housing. We got up there and unpacked her stuff and just hung out a little while. I went to a motel and spent the night. I needed to head out early to head west. I stopped by their house to say good bye to my friend. It was about 7:00AM. My friend was up and we talked for about 10 min. I was heading out the door and there was T&m and B%rb. They asked if they could talk with me. Sure I said. Well they proceeded to tell me how wrong I was to spend the night in their house and "bang" my friend. I told them I did not and that I stayed at a motel. They shot back and said I did stay in the house. I excused myself headed to my car and got my receipt. Slapped it T*ms hand and told both of them to kiss my arse and left. After that they were nice to me whenever I saw them. I was probably one of the few that got to get them to shut their pie holes. I had not heard about what kind of people they were until later. I had know idea who I was dealing with.
  6. I mean it to be funny. If there is someone that has a problem with it. PM me. I can change it. It really is not a big deal.
  7. I can agree to that to a point. Most of corps where believers and they just wanted to excel to help people. No it was not for everybody. When you came out of corps you had to lead. Even some that graduated were not leaders. IMHO that was ok. Having said that. People from the corps had pressure to produce. Some without the natural leadership ability thougt they had to just bully their way. Some were great believers. Some because of pressure had to be arseholes. Those that could produce with love with in love and had the "Know how" to deal with people did fine. Some IMHO did have spiritual problems and made it to the top. Some of the people I knew in the corps were fine people. Some I saw turn into jerks. That was because of pressure from leadership. Damn if people would leave people alone and let them do things, IMHO things would have been so much better. I know twi talked about ( long suites ). They never let a lot expose those to let twi grow. Now agree with twi on not letting people going there own way. Companies today do not let that happen, with good reason. TWI sure took away alot from an individule so they could not play with their strong suite. So some had to go into nazi mode to find favor with twi. Even they could not stomach that and left.
  8. I sure do remember that. I left in 87. So I had a lot of time out of twi by myself before WayDale. That was one of the best if not the best things I saw in twi and probably ranks up there with some of my favorite things I have seen. It is amazing the logic behind the reproof you guys received for that. I always thought we were supposed to put 100% into every thing we did. That was done twice if I am not mistaken. Once for the in res. Then the head honchos came to see it. There were some talented people as far as show biz in the 15th corps.
  9. I thought for sure before your last post. "He must be a cop now" :D-->
  10. I keep getting one post behind grrrrrrrr. Waterered Garden, You were not spineless. It was the way it was supposed to be. Why we all fell for the trap I will never know, but we did. We had enough spine to pick up either when you left or were kicked out to continue.
  11. Well HCW that is a different way of looking at it. Probably a very good way :)--> I was to small to play football so I wrestled for 6 years. No I was not 6 years in high school ;)-->. I know what you mean about it all from being talked about, written about and the little kids. I also know about the coaching point of view from both sides. I remember LCM talking the football stuff. If I remember right he had a knee injury. In his own words that is what held him back in college. It was in a teaching of his. That when the injury happened he was not going full speed. The "high point" was him saying if we did not go full speed 24/7 then we would get hurt from the debil. I was in Residents at HQ when the "Lumbering Ox" tried doing Athletes of the Spirit. He sat us down and told us all the stuff that went on. (well not all the stuff ;)--> ) Some of it was pretty damn impressive. Then he had to talk about himself and all the personal training and stuff. He looked like a Bozo up there on stage.
  12. Wayfernot, What a great story of how warm an indivdule believer could be and a great story in the whole mix of twi mind set. We were each a little terd in the bowl. Makes me sad and mad (more sad) how people were and are treated today. Oakspear, If you were speaking the Word to them then the Bc would have asked how you could be speaking the Word with all the distractions going on. It was a lose-lose situation. Sick crap.
  13. Emporia was a tough place. I blew a lot of the reproof off. My Lord it did not point at me. did it :)-->. I will never forget my apprentice year right before the first year in residents. I was on bless patrol at the ROA. I was stationed at corps shalett :)-->. Some guy from NYC was supposed to meet me there to be on that shift with me. He was late. When he got there I lit into him. He lit into me right back. Uhmm we were held back from from beating the sh-t out of each other. Well in resindents started a month later. We both still glared at each other. I am sure with him as it was with me "bring it on big boy". Time passed. I still wanted to knock the crap out of him. Well one day at Owens Hall in the coffee room or what ever it was called. I was sitting there with about maybe 4 others in the room. Here comes that pecker head. He did not really say anything. He was talking to someone and as close as the space was, I heard him. I just said something about the conversation he was talking about. Well I dropped my guard and was having a conversation with the two of them. He brought up the ROA stuff. We talked about a whole 30 seconds about it and laughed. It was over and we had a good conversation about other stuff and laughed a lot. We never became real close but we did end up with respect for each other and in passing a smile and a hi. Not a funny story but some good things happened at Emporia. To some I can see why it was very hard. To some I can see why it was not.
  14. Wow Thomas, That kind of talk (spirit) is what I remember. Fantastic post. :)-->
  15. alfakat, I forgot all about that crap. Damn it, we set the crap up, bring us something. Besideds all the tapes. I always thought that was BS
  16. Galen and Ex. Perfectly said. That is how it works today out in the real world. If you think reproof is ministering, that's nuts.
  17. $5.00 to the lottery for a poor person. Better than the $35 that twi required you pay.
  18. I will "see" you and "raise" you Loser has to sit through it again. I hate pain but not that much. :)-->
  19. Exactly my thoughts outandabout. You have your good days and bad ones. If you got reproved it was either devil spirits you were dealing with or the person that reproved you that had those mean little thing running around. Bottom line it was stress. It aint a good feeling so stress in twi was spiritual. Gag me with a spoon. Not saying anything bd about you Mom and Dad. That was jut the jargon.
  20. I think they call it Aunt Flow. :)--> No it could not have been that. Women were supposed to renew their minds when the Blessing came along every month. Never mind.
  21. Sounds like a little bit of the difference between twi 1 and twi 2. TWI 1 would tolerate a person even that they thought there was something that bugged a leader but twi 2, if you were not liked by a head honcho, you were thrown out. Well look where that got them. Now all that are left can have a "group hug" in one room instead of a ROA. Poor pathetic people.
  22. Nope never went. I just hated things like that. In a way I still do.
  23. Great story and a big time "Ditto" to that last Sentence.
