  1. That's it. Not only a quote, but pretty much the whole plot! :) George
  2. I had hoped that an early episode of Voyager would be remembered. When will I learn, when will I learn? :) "Time and Again." Paris and Janeway go back in time to stop a planet from exploding, until Janeway realizes that it's her efforts that are causing the problem. She thwarts herself and everything's fine. (The Doctor examines Kes for the first time, as well.) FREE POST! George
  3. I remember that the name was supposed to be "The Word Over the World Auditorium," PERIOD. No VPW on it. I contributed for that reason. Then, up goes the building, and what's it called? George
  4. "Don't you think I'd know my own son? That is NOT my son!" George
  5. Is this an Abbott and Costello flick? "Abbott and Costello Meet Frankenstein"? George
  6. Actually, it's just "Sleeper"; but, good enough. You're up! George
  7. "Gone With the Wind" "Clone a nose. Yes. We're going to clone a nose." George
  8. WG's line was probably from "A Few Good Men" (Tom Cruise to Jack Nicholson). I'm sure WG was right with "MFL," so I say she goes again, for real. George
  9. Onion article (Skip the ad, if it comes up.) George
  10. "First Officer's log, supplemental. There's been no sign of Captain Janeway or Lieutenant Paris since they were lost in a subspace fracture." "You have a lovely brain. It will make a fine addition to our files." "I know you're lying." "Young man, we're here on a business trip and we have a lot of work to do." "The officer told me you came on the continental transport." "That's right. We're from Kalto Province." "Yeah, well I just talked to the transport attendant. He told me four people came today from Kalto. Two of them were a lot older than you, and they had a child from them." "Well, the attendant was wrong. That was us." "So, where's the child?" "We ate him. Because we are demons and we eat children and I haven't had my supper yet." "It seems I've found myself on a voyage of the damned." "She's the healthiest member of her species I've ever seen. She's the only member of her species I've ever seen." "If I understood correctly, this world is going to be destroyed sometime tomorrow." George
  11. I've been to England...but I've never been to Facebook! George
  12. My experience was very similar (at work, co-worker with radio on); but as soon as the second plane hit, it was obviously terrorism, and my guess was Bin Laden (though many others thought Hussein). Although I have several friends in New York, none were directly involved, though many of them had other friends who perished. As an aside, it's also the anniversary of one of my fraternity brothers and his wife. I call them every year; it's a shame that their day is remembered with such sadness. George
  13. Well, that could be "Hot Dog: The Movie"; but I doubt that's the one you have in mind. George
  14. I think and important point has been missed in the discussion so far. Remember that "unbelievers can stop or impair the power of God." (Jesus couldn't do many mighty works in Nazareth; unbelievers were kicked out when children were raised from the dead; etc.) Since Wierwille was the MOGFODAT, it OBVIOUSLY wasn't his believing that was the problem. It MUST have been ours! <_< George
  15. Does Buscemi ever NOT play "disturbing"? George
  16. Yep. The first exchange was between Keaton and Gedde Watanabe, after slogging through a river when GW "freaked out." The latter line was Keaton telling the big Japnese bosses that the cars his team (American and Japanese) were the best. Of course, the car wasn't finished and fell apart about ten feet away. My favorite line, though it would be too commonplace to be a giveaway for this film, was the BIG Japanese boss, who never cracks so much as a smile, telling Keaton, "I like you. You make me laugh." :) George
  17. (same movie) I'd rather have one of these cars that *we* made *together,* by hand. Your guys and my guys, together. You know why? Because those cars stand for something. Those cars stand for something pretty great. I'm proud of those cars. I'm taking one. George
