  1. This shouldn't be too hard, either; adn it's got a couple of attractive gals, to boot: George
  2. The jazz band I perform with also does a version of "Sunny Side of the Street," so I recognized it immediately. I don't remember "Durham Town," but it was pleasant. As for wav vs. mp3, I do have broadband, but even still, it takes more time to download those files than I really care to give. Especially when someone posts about five songs at once. This thread seems to have morphed into "Here are all my favorite songs." That's not necessarily a bad thing, it's just not what I found interesting and which attracted me to this thread. George
  3. That's a pretty easy one, I think. I'll pass again, unless no one else gets it by tomorrow morning... George
  4. Got it. Good one, Rhino! I'm sure someone else will come up with it, so I'll pass right now. George
  5. Sudo, I not only know this song, it's one of my favorite oldies. In fact, I posted some lyrics in the "Name That Tune" thread. I was impressed that Pirate recognized it, since I posted only part of the second verse! I'm glad you posted it as a wav file. I probably would have skipped it if it were another mp3 or m4a! George
  6. How about "Well done, George"? Pretty clever, I thought (especially the "two reams"). But, indeed, well done, Rhino. Your turn. George
  7. Let's see if I can find all the pictures I need for this one: This could be tough, though if you get the first two clues, you'll figure out the rest. George P.S. The last picture (there are four) sometimes takes a while to download
  8. Oh Lord! PLEASE + DUNDEE +TADA +SEAS = "Please Don't Eat the Daisies." I kept thinking the last two clues had something to do with DISEASE. And I didn't think the first clue was such a giveaway. George
  9. The first one sounds a little like Eartha Kitt, though I think it's Billie Holliday. Most of us have heard the Johnny Rivers version of the second tune. I'm not sure who did this one -- maybe the Coasters? George
  10. Not a bad guess, though the answer is actually more specific: "Comic Book Villains." It stars Michael Rappaport and Donal Logue as rival comic shop owners vying to get a collection of old comics from an old woman (Eileen Brennan) whose son died, leaving them to her. Cary Elwes is also featured. Dark humor. A good flick, but obscure. This one should be easier: George
  11. I liked them both, though I must admit that I didn't watch the last couple of seasons of the spinoff. (Actually, there were two spinoffs; the other featured the family of the feisty, little barmaid.) George
  12. I hope you all realize that the picture above is actually Lynda (Wonder Woman) Carter. THIS is Jan (Bailey Porter) Smithers: George
  13. Okay. This is a rather obscure (but fairly recent) movie. If no one gets it in a day or so, I'll try another. George
  14. Okay, then... "Family Man"? (famili-a mann-a) George
  15. Well, until I googled "Misisippi Queen" I didn't get the pun at all. Not a band I'm familiar with. George
  16. The first word, then, must be "family." I guess the cereal was familia. But I'm still not getting the second clue. George
  17. "Incense and Peppermints" was by Strawberry Alarm Clock. And the Phil Collins song DID sound like Bob Stanley. George
  18. I don't know the title, but it sounds an awful lot like Bob Stanley ("Acts 29"). George
  19. As I said, it wasn't a perfect fit. FAN +TOE + MUFFET + OPRAH = Phantom of-a da Opera. You're up, Rhino. George
  20. wasway's clip does sound a little like the C&L theme (rock, lots of sax), but I don't think that's it. I don't know what it IS, though. George
  21. This one won't "sound" perfect. It will almost be the title with an Italian accent! Have fun! George
  22. TRADING + PLAY(station) + ACES = "Trading Places"? George
