  1. "You Light up My Life" by Debbie Boone? George
  2. I don't know about you, WordWolf, but I come up with the lines from memory, so occasionally they may be a word off. It doesn't seem to hinder anyone who's seen the movies. (And if it keeps someone from "googling" the answer, so much the better!) George
  3. Thanks for playing our game, Signals. don't forget your parting gifts on the way out. --> George
  4. From your description, I think I should say "Good night, Sudo-boy!" I never watched that show, though. George
  5. Here's one without Anthony Hopkins. Almost every one of these lines is a giveaway, so I might as well do them all: We're AT&T, and we're tired of taking your crap! Volvos: they're boxy, but good. Sony -- because caucasians are just too damn tall! George
  6. OK, how about "Silence of the Lambs"? George
  7. Since we seem to be running Anthony Hopkins films, I'm going to guess "The Mask of Zorro." George
  8. Interesting that your right hand was on the home row, but your left was on the upper row. George I have no idea what the movie is. And I feel no less a man for not knowing!
  9. "hiway29, this next post is for you!" For hiway29, yes; but I like it, too! George (I'm sure you all know the soap commercial I was parodying.)
  10. Raf -- I just went an entire week without smokes, but then *flunked* as well. I'll quit for good if you do too. Give it a go, and be accountable?? (I won't quit coffee though!) David Keep it up, guys! On the other hand, they MIGHT cure cancer before you die from it.... George
  11. Intelius.com has her at 65. How old are Pirate and Oenophile???? George :)-->
  12. Sounds like "The Ballad of Davy Crockett" by Bill Hayes, but I doubt that it is. George
  13. I PM'ed Belle. No response yet. I don't think she realizes she's up. George
  14. By the way (and involving nostalgia but not old TV shows) does anyone else remember "Turkey Sir Gay" and "Chicken Sir Gay"? They were processed turkey or chicken meat, respectively, pressed into the form of the appropriate fowl. I think Swanson's made them. I thought they were great (of course, I was probably about ten at the time), which is pretty much the death knell for anything. --> They don't even show up on a Google search! George
  15. I certainly remember the original show. I probably also watched "The New ----- Show," but I really don't recall it. I remember Hope Lange mostly from "The Ghost and Mrs. Muir." George
  16. Soooo.... I believe it's still Belle's turn to give a clue... George
  17. "History of the World"? George By the way, there's a whole thread "Name that Flick" in the "Music, Movies, Humor" forum.
  18. "Sounds" familiar, but I'm going to need more. George
  19. I agree. I've never had JW's or Mormons return uninvited. I never returned to someone's place uninvited, either. George
  20. I might just have to start witnessing in Belle's neighborhood! :o--> George
  21. I don't know about VP, but I distinctly remember Craiggers saying at his PFAL (not WAP) AC (for grads of VP's class) in Rome City that he thought we were on the wrong side in WWII! It's amazing how silent a room can get when someone says something so blatantly moronic! George
  22. Before we move on completely from Family Feud (there, I SAID IT!), I'd like to point out that I watched it regularly until one night when the question was, "Name someone at the Last Supper." One contestant guessed Jesus, which turned out to be the NUMBER 3 CHOICE ; the other said Peter, who turned out to be No. 1. The family of the latter contestant, guessed John and Judas, but couldn't get the last choice. (They tried Thomas, Matthew, and James without success, for three strikes.) The other team jumped in with Paul. DING!! They won because two people in the audience were that unaware. --> I never watched it again. George And yes, the new theme is familiar. It has a 70's feel to it, but I can't place it.
