I think he was just a used car sales man,he knew beyond a shadow of a doubt this power for bundent living would leave us all broken down in the middle of nowhere, unable to even be close enough(to walk to t gas station)to ask fo help spirituall speaking(made us feel the local church was wrong)when all along he was wrong.decietful and he knew it but .....he lived off all of us.

  6. Listen children to a story that was written long ago..bout a kingdom on a mountain and the valley far below. In the way internationl we became little soldiers, little unmovable,unshakable...having done stand little tin soldiers all arranged to do our little job with all our heart soul mind and strength. and....anything that came between that was to be cast out,old friends, family..we went to . OZ! Off to see the wizard(vpw)fearless leader MOGFOT. we all became a group of tin soldiers, tin man singing "if I only had a heart" and going down the yellow brick road or pilgrims progress in search for nirvana. Hand in hand across the land we joined in rank ,with green bumber stickers and pfal classes, camoflaged as biblical research in a box of empty wishes and dreams. if we could reach just one...for the tree of life. .....we didn't know we ALWAYS had the heart, the brain, the courage and a home. There is no place like Home....all you people still in twi ..just go home and stop being a little tin soldier. Peace on Earth was all it said
  7. Follow the team all season long with the 20-Second Timeout blog by Bill Schoening, The Radio Voice of the Spurs. Bill has been honored by the Associated Press with its “Top Texas Play-by-Play Award” four times and has over 20 years of play-by-play experience. *Timeout Archive: March 08 | February 08 | January 08 | December 07 | November 07 | October 07 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Tony's in Fine Form by Bill Schoening | April 30, 2008 (Harry How/Getty Images) During warmups on Tuesday night, I had a feeling Tony Parker was in for a big night. He had a steely look of determination in his eyes. When you know you're going up against one of your best friends AND a two time NBA MVP in a closeout game at home, it's probably not difficult to maintain focus. Much of the talk after Game 4 was the defense that Boris Diaw, Parker's longtime buddy, had played on him. Parker accepted the challenge and went out and scored 31 points and dished out eights assists in the Spurs' 92-87 series clinching victory. During the second half of Game 5, Suns coach Mike D'Antoni decided to put Raja Bell on Parker. That didn't work either. On the defensive end, Parker accepted the assignment of guarding Steve Nash, and helped hold the slippery guard to 4-of-16 shooting and only three assists. Parker knows an even more difficult assignment waits as the Spurs get Chris Paul and the New Orleans Hornets. It may be a battle of the two quickest point guards in the NBA. I bet we'll see that look in Tony's eyes again in New Orleans. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Manu with his Sixth Man award. (Joe Murphy/Getty Images) Now that Manu Ginobili has been handed the NBA Sixth Man Award, we turn our attention to the role the reserves will play in this first round series. Even though Ginobili and Kurt Thomas come off the bench, it wouldn't be surprising to see those two players get as many minutes or more than some starters in the opening round. Ginobili, often called the Spurs' "X" factor, is a major source of energy at both ends of the floor and impacts the game in a variety of ways. Whether he's taking charges, diving for loose balls, driving into the lane, or finding an open teammate on a fastbreak, Ginobili's presence creates problems for the opposition. Thomas is a solid veteran who can play low post defense, grab rebounds, set solid screens and hit a mid range jumper or two. Ime Udoka has shown to be a tough defender, can match up with taller opponents, and can hit the corner three, ala Bruce Bowen. Jacque Vaughn is the ultmate professional. He'll play hard nosed defense, make smart decisions, and run the offense while Tony Parker gets a breather. Brent Barry, just coming off a lengthy hiatus, still can fill it up from the outside and has excellent passing skills. He could play an important role, especially if Phoenix uses more zone defense to cut off the Spurs penetration into the paint. If Shaquille O'Neal or Amare Stoudamire get the Spurs' bigs in foul trouble, the Red Rocket (Matt Bonner) could be called on to play some interior defense and hit a straightaway three pointer or baseline jumper. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Uptempo Helps by Bill Schoening | April 17, 2008 D. Clarke Evans/Getty Images Prior to the regular season finale against Utah, I asked Manu Ginobili what the Spurs could do to avoid the scoring droughts that had stymied them late in the season. Without hesitation, Ginobili said, "We can play at a faster pace, get some baskets in transition and pick up the tempo." The Spurs then went out and outscored the Jazz 20-6 in fastbreak points, taking advantage of Tony Parker's quickness and court vision. It wasn't just Parker. Many of the Spurs were in the running mood, as the ball moved up the court quickly after turnovers and defensive rebounds. It might not be realistic to expect the Spurs to score 20 fast break points each game, but there's no doubt an effective transition game will help the Spurs score some needed baskets against a team like Phoenix in the first round. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Kudos to Publio by Bill Schoening | April 9, 2008 Paul Castro Last weekend when the Spurs visited Portland it was a homecoming for Ime Udoka, Damon Stoudamire and Paul Castro. All are former employees of the Trail Blazers. Castro, also known as Publio, has entertained Spanish speaking Spurs fans with his passionate, energetic radio play by play for 14 seasons. Castro is a native of San Miguel De Allende but spent a big chunk of his childhood in Oregon. He attended Oregon State during the Brent Barry days in Corvallis, and was later hired by the Blazers to do Spanish radio play by play. Whenever I'm positioned near Publio during a broadcast, I love to watch his reaction to what's going on in the game. I've seen him throw up his hands if an official misses a call or pump a fist for a clutch basket. The NBA life fits Castro very well. He has many friends in every city we visit, and a loyal following here in San Antonio and throughout South Texas. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  8. very true...you have to practically rewire your whole brain.at first I totally walked away from God ,stopped everything and anything spiritual, stopped talking the christianease talk, tried to stop myself whenever I said, the way, wow, corp, and so forth. It helped to go straight into the Army to get away from people and start new until I sunk(and went military wow in l980) anyhoo finally I just left twi but it was decades of work to be come free and to know you can still believe in God(if that is what you choose) or not and not have to be a bond slave and all that jazz. I keep it simple now as I got older ,and appreciate nature and sunsets and grandkids ,my dogs and positive music. I think for me it had a lot to do as to WHY did I join a cult,..you know WHY DOES ANYONE get involved in something that is so controling? For me I think was a saftey net,I was looking for answers in high school after the death of my best friend from a car accident drug related...and was really angry at what drugs had done to people, friends and to me,it was beginning to control me,and that addiction scared me I knew I needed some help. But..even before that how you were raised may have affected our decision(speaking of way population)to go the route of cult life. I don't think anyone who took pfal and all twi stuff said, geee my life is great I really don't need this, sure the bible was intresting but not so intresting that we all went off the deep end! For me I was a child of satanic ritual abuse and I wanted God to love me and I wanted to love God,deep down somewhere I always felt that, the abuse w as a child around 4 yrs old.and the abuser was a very good catholic family, their daugther was even a carmalite nun..the babysitters husband was the abuser, but i believe the wife knew. In my family, children were taught not to question God, or faith, and my catholic parents didn't have a clue what was going on. Even though I was showing signs a abuse at 4yrs old. Post trama stress, peeing the bed, scared of the dark, scared of snakes, boxes, things like remind you of the abuse, killing and torturing lizards,insects.. So not knowing this I developed a dissociative identity dissorder because this abuse went on from age 4 to 7. Just in time to step into 2nd grade Holy Communion at the Catholic school i went to.which you dress in white and its all very symbolic, take the bread and blood of christ which I totally felt unworthy to do and that it was all a lie. As a child I had no choice in being catholic and just did as my parent said or else. I reallly don't want this to get to long but as other people read this I want them to get a clearer picture as to wy maybe some people join cults, unless they are born into them. Our family moved after 2nd grade(and non more babysitter)my older sister and I were latch key kids and our hard working parents worked at Kelly Air Force Base in San Antonio,Texas. But the abuse was still in my head, and in 6th grade I mocked my confirmation name by choosing St.Dorothy as my name(in my mind it was Dorothy from the wizard of Oz) and since the 6th grade I have collected wizard of Oz stuff. so...i think that was a huge part of why I was even intrested in answers the way international may have had.and I loved the people as a new babe and i was so happy I had found the answers(so I thought)and finally I could look God in the face and say I do believe and I want to serve you and move the word over the world. another trap....................beware of false teachers!
  9. Spurs turn off Suns Tony Parker had 31 points, and Tim Duncan added 28 as the Spurs held off the Suns 92-87. The Spurs outscored and outlasted Phoenix in this Game 5 that felt like a Game 7 at the AT&T Center, coming through with enough plays down the stretch to secure a 4-1 series triumph and oust the Suns from the postseason for the fourth time in six seasons.
  10. Yes. Go Spurs Go I hate Shaq, and Steve Nash is always licking his hands when he shoots a free throw(how nasty that is sic!!) What is the point of Shaq even playing basketball, theirs no talent to him,he stands under the basket and there it is. Sometimes he dives into the crowd! He would be better playing football, they'd all be the same big size.

    two parrots

A lady goes to her priest one day and tells him, 'Father, I have a problem. I have two female parrots, but they only know how to say one thing.' 'What do they say?' the priest inquired. They say, 'Hi, we're hookers! Do you want to have some fun?' That's obscene!' the priest exclaimed, then he thought for a moment. 'You know,' he said, 'I may have a solution to your problem. I have two male talking parrots, which I have taught to pray and read the Bible. Bring your two parrots over to my house, and we'll put them in the cage with Francis and Peter. My parrots can teach your parrots to praise and worship, and your parrots are sure to stop saying . . . that phrase . . in no time.' Thank you,' the woman responded,'this may very well be the solution.' The next day, she brought her female parrots to the priest's house. As he ushered her in, she saw that his two male parrots were inside their cage holding rosary beads and praying. Impressed, she walked over and placed her parrots in with them. After a few minutes, the female parrots cried out in unison: Hi, we're hookers! Do you want to have some fun?' There was stunned silence. Shocked, one male parrot looked over at the other male parrot and exclaimed, 'Put the beads away, Frank. Our prayers have been answered
