  1. Chock, great post! However, I think a lot of people realize TWI won't take care of them, today or in the future. If TWI wants people to work at HQ, they need to pay their staff more money, and give them Medical, Dental, and a Pension Plan.
  2. Blue, I visited HQ one day back in 1978, and that one visit made me realize that going into the Corps wasn't for me. I can't imagine the Bull you had to endure while on Staff for TWI.
  3. Sky, years ago I joined the Navy to better myself. Many people told that because I was an AC Grad, I should go into the Corps. Your post lists the reasons why I am glad I choose the Navy over the Corps. Thanks!
  4. Don, OMG how sad to hear that a young person died in such a horrible way!! I hope the murderer is found, and goes to Prison. I didn't know the victim, but I know from experience, how painful the loss of a child is to a family.
  5. Shift, I am referring to people in, and out of the Corps. Many people were stuck in in Way World, and lacked the resources to leave. Sky, and DWBH have discussed in great detail, how hard it was to leave TWI, with their families. I had no idea, how hard it was for some people with families to leave. Perhaps it wasn't hard for you to leave; it was quite easy for me to leave. I am single, and Childfree. I left Way World in May of 1988, because Uncle Sam sent me to Italy, and thus I was able to leave TWI behind. However, others like Sky, and DWBH, had families to think about, and support. They had responsiblies to deal with, that I didn't. I give people like Sky, and DWBH a lot of credit; they stayed with TWI longer than I did, because of their family responsibilities.
  6. Shift, many people were stuck in TWI for years; they didn't have the resources to leave. If you were married, and/or had kids, often you had to rent a truck to move your stuff. Those trucks cost money, and many people didn't have the money to rent one. Also, many people who wanted to leave were kids; if you were underage, you had to remain with your parents. For some of us it was easy to leave; for others it wasn't. .
  7. Shift, you believed God, not the S--t you were taught in the PFAL class.
  8. Taxi, I heard him teach live several times. Trust me, you didn't miss anything.
  9. T-Bone, I thought the whole production was dark. But perhaps that was why I slept through most of it; it was dark, and drealy.
  10. Dog, I couldn't believe what garbage AOTS was; I throught it was a huge waste of time, and money. But LCM was very proud of it; I guess he couldn't see how horrible it really was.
  11. Sky, if I could get back all the money, I spent in TWI, I would have a great retirement fund for my old age. But, I got old too soon, and smart too late.
  12. Up, I think it has a relationship to what comes out of a cow; and I don't mean milk.
  13. Chock, thank God I am not a Mormon; I wouldn't want to be in a cult for the rest of my life.
  14. Chock, if you move your Bible, from one room to another room, is that moving The Word??
  15. Rocky, good point! Most of the ministers I have known personally, are/were meek before God. However, VPW was an exception; he throught he was above us mere mortals. I believe some day God will reward us for our actions in this world, good or bad.
  16. Rocky, I think you are right. I think Craig may have been upset, that he was losing his wife-to another woman.
  17. Sky, you are right; splinter groups often do start out, loving and kind. However, after my involvement with TWI, I want nothing to do with any of any of these groups; 10 years of cult life was enough to last me the rest of my life.
