  1. Thanks Girl From Oz. Feel free to check out the link I posted also. Refiner did, he liked it and even wants more information on Christ. Cheers! PS Do they say Cheers in Australia or is that just the English?
  2. I don't really know Anthony, but he did buy some of my Sunday Night Service tapes. He was looking for certain ones that he did not already have. I had some of these so I sold them to him. I am not complaining. These tapes, although in good shape, were just collecting dust. I was happy to sell them to him.
  3. Below is a link to an article that I wrote. It definitely relates to the title of this thread. Enjoy! http://www.waychrist.com/Lordship_JC.htm Also for your information Refiner read this article and said he really liked it. Thought it was excellent. People need to understand that there are people, such as Refiner, who don't disagree with the spirit of Jesus Christ. Rather they disagree with the fundamentalist views of many of todays Christian leaders. Frankly, I agree with this assessment. In fact, I too do not agree with many of the so called fundamentalist views of scripture. Some are even based on down right ignorance of what the bible actually teaches. My main point of contention with them is that they seem to have lost the spirit of the teachings and replaced this with a brand of legalism. Furthermore, like in TWI, they seem to think they have a superior knowledge of the scriptures compared to others. Such ignorance should be rather obvious as the bible teaches repeatedly that only the meek will know and understand the spiritual things of God.
  4. Thanks for telling us about some of your peculiar English words Girl From Oz. I will have to try one out sometime. However, I am sure I would miss the accent.
  5. Hi Refiner: No problem Mattie. Enjoy the article.
  6. Thanks Refiner. Hey, will you and the Girl From Oz tell us some of your peculiar usages of English words? I am sure some of us would be interested, especially me. For example, is Mate used for a male friend and Lassie used for the ladies?
  7. Very high praise for the Girl From Oz. Thanks Refiner. Refiner, check out this link. I wrote this article. You might like it. http://www.waychrist.com/Lordship_JC.htm
  8. I like Auzzie accents. Actually, I like any accent as long as it comes with a pair of long legs with a soothing voice. Cool Refiner. Actually, the bible teaches that Jesus is the Son of God and is at God's right hand in the heavenlies. Jesus earned his high position by his sacrifice for all of mankind. God, the Father delegated all authority to Jesus pertaining to his universal Church. And Girl From Oz, kisses are as good as gold around here.
  9. Refiner: The point I am making again is that Jesus was against cults and cult leaders too. You see, the cults get their power from fat headed religious leaders who want to lord over the common folk. They are successful in manipulating people and gain this hold on people not because of anything Jesus said, but because they are conniving low lifes with visons of grandeur and no conscience or at least really puny ones. Jesus used to argue with these power mongering scum bags all the time in the gospel records. Jesus is cool. If nothing else remember that. Gotta go back to work. Later dude.
  10. Refiner: What is a dub? Personally, I don't care who comes as long as they love Jesus. Yea know, just like the Doobie Brothers song, "Jesus is just all right". Really, Jesus is cool. And actually he has warned us already about fat headed religious leaders so we should not blame Jesus for them. In fact, if we follow his example, we can get on their case just like he did. Peace!
  11. wwJesus "Jesus said that by their fruit you will know them." When it comes to Christianity I judge people by their actual fruit and not by what they say they are. If I had a choice between a person that said they were Christian, but did not show any Christlike fruit versus a person that does not confess Christ, but offers good fruit? Hmm, interesting choice. I would probably go with the person that showed the good fruit and then try to be a good example of Jesus Christ. Of course, keep in mind that it may take a while to know a persons true character good or bad.
  12. Do any of you guys know of a router that I can use for both my windows pc and apple computers? I want one router so that I can use my dsl line for both computers (windows and apple). The computers don't have to operate at the same for mys dsl line. However, I want to set the Router and wires up one time for both and not have to change them when I go back and forth from Windows to apple and vice versa. I am going to my favorite place on earth tomorrow, Yosemite. I will be away from my computer for a few days. Thanks for any suggestions.
  13. Jason P. That is an easy name to remember for me. One of my closest childhood friends is also a Jason P. He is one of my best friends to this day. Thanks for the good advise. Thanks to everyone posting including my New York Buddy Wordwolf. Hey Wolfman. I am planing on coming to N.Y. again in a couple of months. Let's get together. That club you had us go to last time was pretty entertaining. One more thing. Please keep this stuff, that you all have posted, up so that some of us can have more time to digest it.
  14. Thanks for all your good suggestions. The MSconfig suggestion seemed to work. I noticed by unchecking some of the items in the Startup window and then restarting that less programs initially opened up. This has seemed to help. The computer is running O.K. The problem is/was in opening up necessary programs with so many programs already running. Sometimes programs we needed to work with opened up pretty slow. I noticed that a number of these programs in startup were with Norton Utilities. I left those checked and the windows programs remain checked. Most of the rest I unchecked. My father may still get a new computer. He can afford it and then some. However, the Northern Italian, Scottish, Jew in me says save money whenever possible. The computer is not that bad. It is uses a Pentium III processor. The Ram is only 128 MB, but I could easily install more. So what do you guys think about me changing operating systems to Windows XP? Thanks again.
  15. Windows 98 is the operating system on his computer. Are you saying that these mysterious programs are a form of spyware? If so how do I rid them from his computer? I already tried Start - Control Panel - Add or Remove Programs. I did not see the programs that are apparently running on his computer. Thanks.
  16. We are have a problem with my father's computer. I am trying to fix it for him. Recently, his computer was slowing down to a crawl. I figured he must have a virus or trojan so I bought the latest version of Norton which is both an anti-virus and firewall program. I installed it and checked for viruses and came up with 52 which I had Norton delete. After this it definitely runs much better. However, it is still a little slow to open up programs so I looked to see what programs were running when I first turn it on. I pressed ctrl, alt, delete and to my amazement a number of programs were running which I never opened up. I manuelly delete them and the computer works about normal. However, they keep opening up when ever we turn on his computer. I went to Windows uninstall to uninstall these programs, but could not find them. What do I do next? I have no idea what these programs are. Don't want them and don't need them. How do I get rid of them permanently? There must be about 15 that are listed along with the programs that I open up. Thanks!
  17. Refiner, were you ever in TWI? Because you are very wise about the abuse in power using a hierarchical church structure. This was the foundational and central evil of this little cult in Ohio that we refer to as TWI. If TWI's biblical and practical error in the use of their pyramid could have been corrected then other doctrinal and practical error could have been corrected also.
  18. Wonder1, are you getting anything out of this forum here? The reason is that there has been a number of posts here that have been both truthful and heart felt? Have you learned anything from them? Another thing, do you know what a ministry is? A ministry from a biblical perspective is suppose to involve the service of people first and foremost. This can be serving the word of God, but it can also be serving other basic needs such as food and other necessities. There are all sorts of ministries and all sorts of people carrying these out from various groups with people from diverse walks of life. Are you aware of this? Or is your ministry arrogant enough to call itself the chosen few while excluding others as vital and close to God's heart?
  19. Right on the money Pat. That little cult in Ohio having the trademark of "The Way" is like a baseball team having a trademark for the terms "double play" or "home run". How they ever got this in the first place is a mystery. It must have been given because the trademark people did not read the bible and don't realize how generic this phrase is to Christianity. Anyone that knows anything about trademarks knows they are suppose to be distinctive. "The Way" as a trademark for one particular denomination is not distinctive in the least bit. Bravo Pat.
  20. TWI in Ohio may find out the hard way just how weak their "The Way" trademark is.
  21. Good work Pat. I knew you had something up your sleeve. You are crazy like a fox.
  22. Well, Tom. Hopefully, the best horses are still in the barn and the ones out are just grazing. Hopefully!
  23. Thank you Templelady for your succinct and clear analysis of this matter. I just heard from Pat and he has agreed that it is not in his best interests to commment on this suit. Thanks to all who have posted. Some good points have been made.
  24. Long Gone, as I explained to Rafael, I will not discuss the legal merits of this trademark suit. Furthermore, I wish you would not pretend to know more than you actually do on this subject. Regarding looking up their "The Way" trademark. I am sure it is there because Pat says it is there and he has spent more time on The Way denomination's claim than I have. I am not about to go through the many similar trademarks to find this one at this time. I have a life and an already very active business schedule. However, I did find the trademark in question, "The Way International".
  25. Rafael, I am not going to discuss the legal merits of this suit on this message board. This is not because of a lack of knowledge of trademark law on my part. What I am stating however is that you admit to a lack of knowledge on trademark law, yet you insist on judging the legal merits of Pat's claim to the domain name which Pat owns and The Way Denomination does not. These two do not add up. They are at enmity. One thing we do agree on, however. Agreed!
