    Hi

HI GEn2 Welcome to the grease spot I look forward to seeing your posts... I am one of the posters here who had a relatively easy time in TWI but as Wordwolf mentions I also temper that with the knowledge of what so many others endured and the knowledge that so much of VPW's supposed life was a lie and all of his teachings were stolen. My journey here has been one of walking away from TWI teachings and walking into a better understanding of what I was part of, and the hidden costs for me of my few years in TWI so Glad you are here. Pull up a stool and a cup of Joe and welcome to the party.
  2. Okay this brings up a whole thought track.. and it is related to the fact that I go to college and let me tell you, the professoras share their work. We use my English professors book to study from for one. Why on earth was his paper (If indeed there ever was one...) why was it not part of Corps training? Just my two cents on the subject. and I am right there with Waysider if indeed he ever did a thesis why was he not crediting all of the contributions to his lilfes work...as is proper for an academic endeavor. Or any written work .
  3. Yay! and Congrats you two!!! Life with some one you love is mostly fun, occasionaly exasperating, and generally an interesting adventure. :) Bring on the cheese cake and don't forget the rum
  4. HI Br'erZ welcome to the cafe! I hope to see you around the threads in the coming weeks. There is a ton of info here. Hugs and Congrats on finding your way clear of the evil muck and mire that is the way and all it's evil mutations.
  5. HE bought a house in 83 and then did he have to give it up because of the no debt policy... Volunteer fireman??? for TWI? Does this really count as being a fireman if it is for a private property! this brings up lots of questions! Does any one else find it Ironic that this guy who is part of an organization that pushed people to sell their homes because you supposedly should have no debt, is now a real estate agent?
  6. I have been reading this thread and thinking back on my time in TWI and I dont recall out right being told not to read other books... but I remember many times being encouraged to read the TWI material over and over and to make it my own... also I can not tell you how many times I got the lecture about how I was wasting my time on earthly things and should be focusing on the Word. and PFAL. And most people were reading what was suggested by COrp or leadership to read. IT was a bit disheartening for me I was and of course still am an avid reader. By the way I read a wide variety of books for my college classes not to mention what I read to research for reports I have to do. IT has been very enriching to me.. I think one of the first things I did once Hubby and I left TWI was to read and read and read.. We used to curl up together on the couch and read together. Sometimes the prisons we put our selves in are directed to us by the words and actions of those around us. IF you are in the current TWI Under RFR then I would ask you, what books do you read, and if your twig leaader or what ever they call themselves comes over and you are reading a mystery or romance novel what happens ... do you feel guilty? do they reprimand you? IF you feel guilty no matter what they have done then you have to ask your self "why"... "why do I feel guilty for enjoying myself". !

So last weekend Hubby and I went to see Avatar in 3d and we both really enjoyed it.. What a fun movie... I do not think I want to go live there but I had a great time watching the movie. Worth every penny. And I loved the cliches and the ending too. because I love a happy ending!
  8. Hi Every Gardener... Totally awesome the daffodils are peeking their shoots out... we are almost to spring...not of course the one on the calendar but the mother nature one.. the one where you walk outside and get that whiff of spring air a combination of warmth and blossoms and grass. IT is so distinct I can smell it in my mind...anyway it won't be long now till it happens maybe 5 weeks or less. Any way the other good news is the leaves I put down for a weed barrier are working excellently and are doing a good job of breaking down into a fine layer of mulch! now why didn't I do this before LOL on top of it all we are scheduled for a week of rain... it couldn't be better!. We need all the rain we can get!
  9. The excema may alleviate as you get further and further from having had wheat I know the patches I had of it cleared up I had these small patches of it on my arms and legs not bad like some people get.... but that is all gone. Be sure to buy the unscented laundry soap if you can it really helps. I use arm and hammer myself... it is awesome. even with the perfumed stuff it doesn't irritate my skin at all!
  10. I think that is because few people had access to peanuts, there was peanut butter or seperate peanuts, now they are in so many things. more than you realize.IT is the same with wheat it used to be in your bread products and your mom would use it in gravy but now it is in most packaged foods. you would be surprised how much stuff it is in. and our diet now adays is loaded actually overloaded with it. And chemicals I wonder if people realize how much chemicals they get in their soda and packaged food.. I think they would be stunned and that doesn't even count the pesticide chemicals sprayed on our food. I suspect that the longevity that has been increasing in humans over the years will start decreasing from all the stuff we are now carrying around in our bodies.
  11. Oooppppsssss! well I am glad you are doing okay too. I guess I was remembering when my Mom went through it and how every clear test was a blessing! I am glad you got one more clear test!
  12. OMG the beginnings of CHICAGO... I had no idea!... Nice!
  13. LOL I was actually thinking the same and agreeing with you... sorry I wasn't trying to be snotty.. They re packaged PFAL perhaps we need to address the repackaged program so to speak! Because I believe it is still the same product just with a new name and a new package and new shiny pictures so to speak.
  14. Funny thing when I read the words VP spoke in PFAL all those years ago... I hear them in his voice... it is annoying.
  15. I think the saying a rose by any other name is still a rose.... oR in this case you take B.S. and rename it but it is still B.S. I just read their web site too and what I can see is they renamed stuff... repackaged it... but in essence it is the same stuff. the same teachings the same hooks they threw out when I took the class in 1979. they have renamed the class and shuffled some information around.. they have the same information being taught by different people instead of VP but it looks like it is the same information as when I took the class. They made a web site and have put what looks like quotes from real people who took the class but they are aren't it is just some cleverly written hype. of course I could be wrong but the reality is if you take a lie and put a bow on it and pretend it is the truth it is still a lie. A kinder gentler Ministry.... Don't make me puke. oh lets all follow a kinder gentler Hitler yeah there is a good plan.

You know these are people with issues before they go to see that movie... they have so much stress in their life that it makes them want to escape... this is why HArry Potter was or I should say is so popular. People are overloaded with stress and want to escape it... I suspect if the the job and economical marketplace was in a more positive place people wouldn't be so entranced by it! Just my opinion
  17. This is great news Yay Tommy! Glad he is doing so well!
  18. And you will want to do raised beds to combat the clay soil too!
  19. As a gal with gluten allergies let me add a few things that healed up for me when I eliminated it from my diet The athletes foot I had had my entire life that defied all medicines completely cleared up. also lower intestinal cramps that I also had my entire life.. alspo I had some dry patches of skin that went away and my ulcer healed up to. Also acid reflux gone and heartburn. and no I do not take nexium. I do no have them when I do not eat wheat
  20. IT seems to be a common practice in every cult .. That the leader feels he is entitled to take all the women for himself or at least the women he wants. HI The Mex Good to see you!
  21. Awwww I love Croce I thin this is one of my favorites.
  22. LOL Soul Searcher none of it is original way doctrine ... IT all comes from somewhere else but it was all mixed together in an evil weirwille stew and presented as Original TWI stuff and became the Dogma of TWI .. Most of us were young and had no Idea these came from somewhere else.
  23. IT is LSD or LYSERGIC ACID DIETYELAMIDE TARTRATE "25" Interestingly Metoprolol Tartrate 25 is a heart medication for palpitations.
  24. Thanks for sharing that... What a beautiful thing to have happen. I think your prayers went much further than you could ever know. Pancreatic cancer is excruciatingly painful.A dear friend of mine died from it. How glorious to have this kind of an ending in the face of such a painful condition.
