  1. Son of the Master, you said... Yes, it is off-topic, but please start another thread elsewhere. I would like to hear more of your explanation. Lone Wolf
  2. The only emotion Craig felt was spiritual lust. Lone Wolf McQuade
  3. As a matter of fact, Paul Mosqueda was the only person who built me up. He was one of the only quality people I ever knew in the Corp. Lone Wolf McQuade
  4. I don't know. I wish I knew. Can you recommend any literature to help me understand these "techniques" you mention? Distant Well, I had to meet with Rev. Dic# Face so he could see if I was responding to the confrontation Yes. As a matter of fact, as I was leaving the office Craig said to Rev. Dic# Face, loud enough so I could hear, "Watch him". I can't remember. Well, I guess I found the answers they wanted me to find, which was, I need to lose my ego and obey God's direction via the MOG. Yes. Yes. Like I had to prove myself for awhile before I could speak with them on friendly terms again. Yes, but only after reaming me for 30 minutes. After that, I was left a little speechless actually so I didn't have the composure to tell him what a jack a$$ he was. I was very afraid. I guarantee, that shi# won't happen again. Lone Wolf McQuade
  5. When I left TWI, of course I questioned the doctrines I was taught. But after reading One God & One Lord there is not a doubt in my mind. The trinity is false doctrine. With what they put together in that book, I have no idea how you could believe otherwise. Just my opinion. :-) Lone Wolf McQuade
  6. Bolshevik, that's absolutely correct. I remember Craig used to teach that it's not available to "stand on your own". Nonsense. He just used that line to subliminally convince others that they can't stand for God and leave TWI. "Who will I fellowship with? After all no one knows the truth like we do". I continue to seek God because I want to. I don't need Craig barking in my ear to tell me to want to know God. I want to know him. For the people who dropped off on pursuing God after leaving the Way, well, how much did they really want to know God anyway? Lone Wolf MCQuade
  7. I was confronted by so many clergy in TWI from Craig on down. Some may have been justified, most weren't. I had recently posted on another thread one of Craig's a$$-chewing sessions on me. I of course backed down full of fear that I had angered the mediator between God and men (Craig). If I only knew then what I know now, I would have looked right at Craig and had only one thing to say, "F@#k You". Does anyone have any particular confrontation stories that stick out in your mind and what would you have said to them then if you knew what you know now? Lone Wolf McQuade
  8. I remember one time I wrote Craig a personal letter. I told him how I was so disgusted and how basically I wasn't seeing the power of God move in our ministry. I asked for help (thinking he could give some as the MOG). I wanted to do anything I could do to help get the ministry "back on track". I had noticed how cold the fellowships were that I had visited and a real lack of love for people especially between "clergy" and "laity". Instead of Craig sitting down with me and talking it over with me and seeing my concern, he sent one of his goons to hunt me down on campus and dragged me back to his office. Craig proceeded to yell at me at the top of his lungs for about a half hour. Swearing of course and telling me how I needed to get off of my high horse and get right with God. Of course he had his top 4 goons there in the room with me, staring me down and giving me the evil eye (no doubt they were operating discerning of spirits). Craig screamed at me more than once asking, "Who the f#@k are you?". Of course petrified, like a good little disciple, I fell in-line hoping God wasn't going to take his protection off of me for pis$ing off the MOG. How blind I was. Craig knew there wasn't any miracles, he knew the ministry sucked, and that's why anyone who was going to call him on it had to be silenced. I was a threat, he handled it. CULT. CULT. CULT. CULT... 9. Bolshevik, you said... Well God says that if we want wisdom we have to dig for it. And there are certainly those who "dig" more than others. I think there are plenty of details to be discovered by those who want to know God enough to take the time to think, ponder, meditate, pray and search for the understanding.Any details left by God to be discovered are valuable. They may not be essential, but preaching the gospel is not the only thing God wants us to do. He also wants a relationship with the individual and the more details you have, the more you know not just "the message" but the God behind the message. Because of this, I feel searching for details in the scripture is never a waste of time. I would have to say yes. Consider the record of Samson: Judges 16:4-10 Some time later, he (Samson) fell in love with a woman in the Valley of Sorek whose name was Delilah. The rulers of the Philistines went to her and said, "See if you can lure him into showing you the secret of his great strength and how we can overpower him so we may tie him up and subdue him. Each one of us will give you eleven hundred shekels of silver." So Delilah said to Samson, "Tell me the secret of your great strength and how you can be tied up and subdued." Samson answered her, "If anyone ties me with seven fresh thongs that have not been dried, I'll become as weak as any other man." Then the rulers of the Philistines brought her seven fresh thongs that had not been dried, and she tied him with them. With men hidden in the room, she called to him, "Samson, the Philistines are upon you!" But he snapped the thongs as easily as a piece of string snaps when it comes close to a flame. So the secret of his strength was not discovered. Then Delilah said to Samson, "You have made a fool of me; you lied to me. Come now, tell me how you can be tied." This threw me for a long time. I thought, good grief, Samson why are you hanging around someone that you obviously know is trying to kill you? I would have been furious with Delilah! And I'm sure Samson was too. He knew he was betrayed, he knew she was selling him out. I'm sure he stormed off and they didn't speak for awhile (like would happen with most people in this type of situation.) I'm sure there was a reunion at some point where they would have exchanged thoughts on what happened (v.10) and started hanging around again. Slowly she would have rebuilt the trust until she could get around to asking again, "tell me the secret of your great strength". The scripture doesn't say any of this, yet this had to be how it went down. Isn't that real life? But God wants you to play it out in your mind and think about the records. It helps them become very alive in your mind. This is exactly the time and energy it takes to understand the scriptures. People who don't care to know the scriptures will never put in the kind of work and humility necessary to understand them. God could have written the scriptures so that they were easy to understand. Some things are but many things aren't. Even Christ spoke in parables so the people wouldn't understand, but when he was alone with his disciples he explained everything. (Mark 4:34) Lone Wolf McQuade
  10. mstar1, you said... How about it mstar1? That's the truth right there. So concerned with the great "details" of the scriptures that you can't even understand that you should treat people with kindness, slow to speak, slow to wrath. "Hey everybody I know the exact minute Jesus Christ was born, now worship me you dogs!" Lone Wolf
  11. Isn't that disgusting Bolshevik? It assumes that there is a spiritually perfect thing to do in any given situation. And since your leaders are more spiritually sharp than you are, surely they will know what God would have me to do for my life. And because you know how screwed up your own life is, you think, "Well, they are the leadership and have it more together than I do". In reality, they were just as screwed up as the rest of us. Hmmm, maybe when I go to the bathroom this morning I should wipe to the right side, seeing as the right side is the side of blessing and all. Oh look, God's tellin' me we shouldn't go to McDonald's tonight. And before you know it, it's, "God told me to say to you...". I think a lot of people live in this spiritual fantasy land waiting to hear from God moment by moment, when in reality, revelation comes rarely. For the most part, God "leaves you alone" in life, leaving you free to experience your life and have good times. He may call on you occasionally or may have something to say, and when he does, you'll know it. Other than that, you're free to live your life, something I'm sure many Christians would never dare believe. Some would have us think God expects us to be on some sort of intense, heightened state of alert, always trying to "tune in" to God's will and ward of any devil spirits that may be around. This is Christian mysticism. Lone Wolf McQuade
  12. Belle, Excellent post. It's kind of scary as you read along and EVERYTHING those books say are exactly like how it was while in TWI. It's a scary reality, and yet freeing at the same time. Thank you for this post Belle. Lone Wolf McQuade
  13. Hello, If I have to say, yes, I think Jesus was molested. Can I prove that from the text? No. Therefore I could very well be wrong. The only reason I think he was molested is because of what the Bible tells me about the Devil. Ever since the fall of Adam and Eve and the prophecy made by God about the "promised seed", the Devil has been on a rampage trying everything he could to kill off Abraham's descendants so the Christ couldn't be born. Generation after generation, the Devil tried, but was always outmatched by God who had the help of few and sometimes only 1 person. This battle he fought for 4,000 years only to find that indeed the Christ was on the scene. All through his ministry, Jesus Christ made of fool of the Devil. Jesus was constantly one step ahead of him. Jesus was always providing just the right answer, always making the Devil's kids look like idiots. Finally, Jesus surrenders himself and for the first time, after all the frustration, humiliation, and defeat, the Devil has a wide open window to get revenge. I'm sure thousands of years of fury took over and the Devil unloaded on Jesus with every sick, twisted, and perverted torture and beating that I can't even imagine just to make Jesus suffer, and more importantly, to make God watch. The Devil just frickin' hated Jesus Christ and when he had his chance, he made him suffer. Can I prove this from the text? No. But sometimes, God doesn't always say everything that happened. Sometimes God gives just enough details and waits for you to ponder and meditate and "fill in the blanks". Just my opinion. :-) Lone Wolf
  14. One and the same. Believing means, "to have faith". And "faith" simply means "to trust". So believing means "to trust" a.k.a "to have faith". When God speaks of Abram in Genesis, it says he "believed" (Gen, 15:6). When God speaks of him in Hebrews, it says he had "faith" (Heb. 11) They mean the same thing. TWI was always complicating things that should have been easily explained, no doubt an attempt to show their "precision" in handeling the text. Also an interesting point. If we get what we believe for, then how come at the end of the "believers hall of fame" (Heb. 11), God says of Abraham, Enoch, Noah, Abel, Isaac, Jacob, Moses, and Rahab, that.... These were all commended for their faith, yet none of them received what had been promised. ????(Heb. 11:39) Believing=receiving? Lone Wolf
  15. Actually, from what I understand, "faith" is a noun, pistis; "believing" is the verb, pisteuo, there is no difference other than that. They mean the same thing. So "faith" would be confidence, "believing" is to have faith. Lone Wolf
  16. Bolshevik, you said... Well, that says it all doesn't it? Absolutely nothing anyone can say can outdo that sentence right there. 14,000 people....1 comes, and then he's gone. Does that sound like the Lord's presence? Lone Wolf McQuade
  17. Socks, you said... Great points socks. That's just it, if it doesn't happen as scheduled then they look at you and say, "you must not be believing God", which does nothing but condemn the "truster". This leaves people discouraged wondering why they can't trust God, when in reality, when the Bible speaks of trusting God, it has nothing to do with learning some mystical formula of materialization and prosperity. We trust in God, yes, in his promises. Anything beyond that for the most part is left up to discipline, hard work, and perseverance. You want a great paying job? Get out there and get the education necessary to get one. Try being a high school drop out and getting a job as a corporate officer at Microsoft. It will not happen, I don't care how much you trust God. Want good health? Well don't think you can smoke for 40 years, eat like a pig, and never work out and think you can "believe" your way through life to be healthy. Furthermore, when you do get lung cancer from smoking 40 years, I wouldn't count on God healing you either. Maybe he will, but the odds are against you as history proves. Proverbs 1:23-28 If you had responded to my rebuke, I would have poured out my heart to you and made my thoughts known to you. But since you rejected me when I called and no one gave heed when I stretched out my hand, since you ignored all my advice and would not accept my rebuke, I in turn will laugh at your disaster; I will mock when calamity overtakes you-- when calamity overtakes you like a storm, when disaster sweeps over you like a whirlwind, when distress and trouble overwhelm you. Then they will call to me but I will not answer; they will look for me but will not find me. Lone Wolf
  18. Johniam, you said... See, with all respect johniam, I think your logic is faulty here. Jonathan and his armour bearer were stepping out on a promise of God, "you will possess the land". Jonathan stepped out trusting God would be with him because he knew God didn't want them there, "drive the inhabitants out of the land". And because God had promised, he performed. This is a lot different from just finding something that you feel you need/want in life and thinking that by your concentrating hard enough with mind pictures and quoting verses to yourself that somehow God will materialize what you desire (luxury car, great job, sick-free). God never promises these things, rather the majority of these are left up to us to aquire the discipline necessary in life to go after them, which God allows us to freely do. To say that God helped a woman get an apartment is a little unfounded. I may be praying for an apartment I want. I may fill out an application, they may give it to me. And when they do I say, "God answered my prayer!". The problem is that 10,000 other people who wouldn't give God the time of day also got apartments. Were they operating the law of believing also? Or is it just the simple fact that you needed a place to live, someone was offering a place to live, you asked if you could live there, and they said, "yes"? Now I'm not saying God doesn't meet needs. But he only seems to respond to what he has promised. Anything outside of that, is a rare blessing indeed. Lone Wolf
  19. Yes, this teaching is very destructive. The Way used to teach people that if you didn't obey the Word (which really meant obey them), you would be open to injury from devil spirits and that they could do as they will to your life (cause disaster, inflict disease). Isn't that why we call things around here "Grease Spot"? We'll be grease spots by midnight if we don't follow the leadership of Loy and the Fox. Well, I have blown it plenty and I'm still in once piece. Teaching people what they fear will happen only strikes fear into the hearts of people. Everybody has fears. Thinking that fear will produce tangible results makes you even more terrified of what you're afraid of which makes you think you will get what you're afraid of, which makes you more afraid...it's a circular cycle that ends in destruction. The "law" of believing does nothing but back believers into a corner and imprison them. Curse that wicked doctrine. If there was ever a doctrine of the devil spirit realm, that's one of them. Thanks a lot TWI. Lone Wolf
  20. Well, trust me, I knew TWI got to a place of total control. That's why I left in 2000. I was here at 2000, back then, WayDale, and posted for awhile but then split. I heard about it through a friend who also left around the same time I did. My tune hasn't changed per se. Although I am more convinced now that VPW was a plagiarist and a womanizer. But I still disagree slightly from some here who say he never did an ounce of good in his ministry. I'm still thankful for the good I was taught in TWI. But as for Craig, I have nothing good to say about his leadership or his ministry. Lone Wolf
  21. Yes, The Enemy Within, one of my all time favorites. Lone Wolf
  22. Abso-frickin--lutely unbelievable! You know some of us stuck around as long as we did because we didn't know a lot of that stuff talked about here at GS was going on. People who are still in TWI are totally blind and get what they deserve. I know I was blind too, but at some point you snap out of it when all the evidence is trying to smack you in the face. You want to feel sorry for these people but the other side of the coin is "you reap what you sow". What's even more amazing is that there are people who post here at GS and are still involved with TWI. I just don't quite understand that. When I read this post, I felt a sickness in my gut. IMO, TWI has some mighty wicked people leading that ungodly beast of a ministry. I am utterly disgusted. Lone Wolf McQuade
  23. Oh, I see. I apologize. Lone Wolf But no, it was not from the same episode.
