  1. I'm bumping this up... supposedly she was bumped because of hurricane Ike coming through. I'm hoping that when another date is set up we'll be given some notice by someone! sudo
  2. Hey! Not to worry! Only skinny little red weenies were roasted! Not the bigger fatter variety. sudo
  3. Chas, Re:"Okay, I'll start with the details - Pawtucket has the pictures..." And when do we get to see the pictures?? Hmmmm?? sudo
  4. Thank you guys! I'm hoping my next year might be my best yet! sudo
  5. I'm still recording Fox And Friends just in case it airs.... Anyone hear anything about the showtime?? sudo
  6. George, Re:"P.S. At least there were a lot of good-looking women in that production!" Like who? You're easily impressed, IMO. Really, George.. did we see the same clip?? sudo
  7. George, Re:"You left out that little detail." Ohhh.. You're right . Well.. *I* knew I was in the 9th grade so that counts doesn't it? And besides.. who can deny this wasn't a great TV show even if the movie of the same name a few years back was a total dud? sudo
  8. George, You're going to have to get better at your math. You know how much time a demisemiquaver requires, no? And you were figuring I was lip locked with my 9th grade girlfriend in 1970-1975?? Naw.. it was 1966. And the quotes I used? It was none other than James West and Dr. Miguelito Loveless. Remember him? This was a great TV show. And somehow I thought it was more interesting to kiss on my 9th grade girlfriend. Imagine that. Steve!... You got it man. So maybe you had a girlfriend while watching this program, too? I think my saying that it came on Friday nights HAD to have been a give-away. And what else do 9th graders do on Friday nights? Hee-hee! sudo
  9. George, Re:"This, I suppose, would put it around 1970-1975" I'm just a tad bit older than you might have thought. Oh, I know I come across as so cosmopolitan that everyone thinks I'm about 25 years old but the sad cold fact is.. I'm an aging old man. My joints are aching and I have to take cholesterol medicine. I've got a birthday coming up.. I'll turn 39. Just like a well known comedian older folks here might remember. sudo
  10. Hey guys, Here's another one directly from The Way's website. Way Productions Let me ask a question.. how many of us would have stuck around if this was what we saw as The Way International? TWI is dying folks.. and a long painful death at that. It reaps what it has sowed. Forever the name of Victor Paul Wierwille will be associated with the founding of a cult. LCM and Rosalie will be remembered as trying to carry on after he died. Their members are few and their converts negligible. If you didn't know what evil had poured out from their vitriol then you'd almost feel sorry for them. sudo
  11. George, Re:"I think we need more clues, Sudo!" I agree. I don't see how you guys are able to guess the TV shows on this thread with the limited amount of information given in the first place. I swear you guys must be Googling all the time or something. My TV show was real fun and the few little lines I posted weren't even between the two main characters of the show. Oh, the two main characters traveled in style alright. You guys remember how the Pinkertons traveled to get Butch and Sundance in Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid? But I digress.... This little short (pun intended??) conversation I posted was between a main character and a regular guest character I guess you'd call him. It was a great show guys.. even if I only saw bits and pieces of it because I was lip locked with my girlfriend most of the time. sudo
  12. JeffSjo, Re:"Words seem to fail me now to describe the anger I now feel at this false twisted doctrine that these folks hold by twisting the scriptures to their own purposes." Hey man.. get a grip on your life, dude. Maybe go talk to a counselor. I used to be a Baptist, too, but I'm not obsessing over that fact in my past. Yeah. TWI was a bad experience for a lot of us.. and even worse for the ladies that got sexually abused but you sound like you've got some real anger management problems, IMO. sudo
  13. Frank, TWI is definitely on the downhill slope now. Maybe that'll make you feel some better. Remember when we were all young and hip? Well, TWI is now middle aged and not looking good for their age. Check out this video on their web site TWI video They snap their fingers as they sing. Its pretty bad but it represents who they are singing to.. their aging current members. You have to keep in mind that the cool "groovy Christian" TWI members that we remember from 30+ years ago are long gone. Today's TWI isn't recognizable by most of us so it's good you realize that Rosalie has no power over you. More and more she has no power over anyone anymore. Look at TWI's web site The Way International and check out the "current news"... its from over a year ago. sudo
  14. Twinky, Re:"A sneak preview of forthcoming events, can't tell you how I got this info so don't ask." Like I posted you on the other thread.. Can you even imagine someone in a mainstream (Baptist, Methodist, Presbyterian etc.) church being afraid to reveal what they know about their church for fear of reprisals? How much longer can current TWI "members" continue to ignore the obvious? But then again.. there are folks who still believe the world is flat... no kidding. sudo
  15. Twinky, Your post just made me think again about TWI. Re:"I heard from an innie contact that HQ lost power and the phone hook ups were canceled." Sometimes I forget that TWI is STILL a cult and still perusing this forum to try and ferret out innies who inform on them. sudo
  16. George, There are some really strange ones there, believe me! Which makes the one of the TWI singers even more hilarious considering the company they are keeping. sudo
  17. Geo, The Rockford files, eh? I really liked that show and watched it mostly in re-runs. I don't know where you guys get all these quotes but I've got a short one from another of my favorite shows. It came on Friday nights and I used to go over to my girlfriend's house on Friday nights. We'd watch this show and smooch on the couch. --> Don’t be absurd. I am a genius. --> You’ll never pull it off. -->I will so! sudo
  18. Hey it wasn't a show that featured a guy named Angel was it? Just thought I'd pop in and look around. sudo (wondering where you guys get these obscure quotes)
  19. Chatty, Re:"Sudo, Thank you for letting us catch up on things that are nostalgic for us." Anytime there's some interest I'll be glad to help out. Looks like Rick would help out too. Heck.. YOU used to post songs as well. Here's the full version that I had edited for posting.. its really pretty good. If you like nostalgia, that is. Click HERE!. Folks belong here if they like that kind of music. sudo
  20. {{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{Cathy}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}} Long time no see, girl. Did it take Bluzeman posting on the Nostalgia thread that brought you back to us? And you're living in Florida now? You might had mentioned that but I guess I didn't remember. OK.. I'll post one. Click HERE! for a tune that was first a big hit in the 30's (I think) and then the theme for a movie.. and then the theme for the TV show... which wasn't really that good. But the movie?? I LOVED it. I cut the clip off at when the words started because obviously that would have given it away.. I can post the whole tune later! sudo P.S. Here's a bonus for those interested in old stuff. It was so popular back in 1970 and it was being played in most of the dorm rooms at Ole Miss. 'ya get points if you know which concerto :) HERE!
  21. Looks like this thread may not be totally gone and forgotten. Good to see you Bluzeman. I think you have been on this thread since WayDale days, right? OK.. I want to play... was a bird involved with the main character on this TV show? sudo
  22. I clicked on the link and started the test. But on about question #3 it became obvious to me it was a feeley meeley "test" that meant nothing. Not to say these kinds of things aren't fun... they just have no validity. sudo
  23. Rascal, I'd think that for those of us who left in the mid-80's that we'd hardly recognize a TWI meeting of today. I wonder if they still have those Sing Along The Way books? You know.. one thing that always irked me about those song books was that all it had was the words.... no music notes... unless you KNEW the song you had no idea of the melody. Somehow Dorothy and Rhoda always had the music in front of them when they played the songs at SNS. It was explained to me that TWI had copyright issues in publishing anything other than the words. I don't doubt it.. all churches have hymnals in their pews with both words AND music but TWI? They wouldn't pay a dime.. but they charged dearly to take all their classes. Anyone remember what they charged for Dealing with The Adversary? sudo
  24. Mark, I'm sorry if I offended you. I didn't mean to mock your beliefs. The Old Testament is no more unbelievable than Scientology claims that aliens from outer space reside in us and need to be audited. My whole point was that Flat Earth Society folks have their reasons for believing what they do, too, no matter how ludicrous it seems to the rest of us. Its their religion and you get folks riled when you ridicule what they hold dear. That doesn't mean I'd allow it to be taught in public schools, though. sudo
  25. Geisha, Re:"I did the same thing!!!" Good for you! Now lets see if any of us get replies. I'd bet Mr. Winklejohn won't be making any retractions, though. He wanted to do a puff piece for Georgia Tech it looks like to me. Is Raf reading this thread? What are your thoughts on this reporter and his article? sudo P.S. Yeah, we were posting at the same time Geisha :)
