    Groceries

I alternate between Costco - Walmart and one of the local groceries over the period of a month.- or 2 paychecks to be more accurate. Utlimately I go from 600 one month to about 800 on the alternate month. we have 4 in the family---but like Safari-- I feed the neighborhood boys...
  8. my kids hate veggies with the exception of corn. All those "magazine tricks" never worked with my kids and god forbid anythting should touch anything else...and it can't look messy. Baby #2 ate tuna salad as a 1 year old...but one touch it now---messy looking. Oh yeah--- My kids won't touch soup of any kind either---dont feel alone Chas #1son is now 6' tall and size 14 shoe. #1daughter is tallest in 5th grade and strong as an ox

  11. Because the people who teach VP's stuff and people who follow it are still alive and every so often venture on to the evil internet and discover there is more to life than all those VP teachings; that's why.
  12. Sushi -- mine is not wide margin...but it shoulda been--I have more notes to myelf in that 1 little book, than several bibles I think
  13. WE -- is a bit presumptuous -- I cannot agree with all the we's in Mark's assumptions.
  14. I whole heartedly concur Chas... and I use MAthUSee for both my kids at home on top of what silliness they have to learn at school. I just finished a Bacelors in Education ---shocking what they do not teach teachers to teach in Math and Reading. I will augment my kids Math through their entire school career until college. My daughter has done the 4th grade and now 5th grade and son is doing a fill in the gaps for Pre-Algebra... www.mathusee.com Its ridiculous---there is no homework---no concept of memorizing---I can't imagine how my son would do in High School with out extra studying
  15. Having gone back to college after leaving the compound...(mentality)...I have found this out, I only like to sit in a lefty desk with the lecture screen 9everything's on Power Point now) to my left...even though I am a righty.
  16. I have found there are apartment complexes that have 4 breeds they wil not allow if they allow pets. Pit Bulls are among them. Since Daddyhoundog works for the phone company, dogs ingeneral are something he is very careful abou, even more than a mailman. If there are pit bulls...he will consider long and hard how responsible the owner is. He has been bit 3 times in 8 years. I love animals in general (although not so fond of the rodent type for house pets) it occurs to me that the jerks that do not train or poorly train their dogs-specifically the Pits, if the breed no longer existed, they would mistrain another breed.
  17. I agree PL, it is really nice to go where there are people you have spent your life with. It also sounds as though you are being careful and shrewd and yet allowing yourself to explore things...I for one, think thats great. I can also add, every person I have associated with that has been associated with CFF has ben sweet and unjudgemental....
  18. I do remember Donnie teaching TWT, I also knew plenty of people in the 70's and some inthe early 80"s who were wc that honestly believed the higher up the way tree you were, the guaranteed yur retirement was.
  19. It took me a little a little more than a year, but its been 13 years now. I kept buying myself things that would equal the cost of cigs that I couldn't get before because I was spending it on smokes. The first yea or 2 when around 1 particular friend, I would have maybe .5 an inch of a cigartette, but did not start up becaue of it...I don't reccomend that for everyone, but it helped me get through it when I was around her. She still smokes (she gave up coffee for green tea, but still smokes - go figure)
  20. exxy - that thought has crossed my mind more than many times.
