    Red's story

What an incredible story to show the horrendous control that a person must yield to TWI leaders to stay categorized a disciple. You were in violation for wanting your personal property to go with you when you left TWI and moved out? They desired to keep control of you by controlling what was yours is what I am thinking. I know of some very prosperous people that when they left TWI or were kicked out had to demand all their personal property back from all the innies that were borrowing it from them. The lady told the LC that if they were not good enough for the household neither was their stuff. So the innies WC leaders made arrangements to meet in a parking lot and give the stuff back. While this was going on behind the scenes I watched as innies complained about people leaving TWI stealing some of their things. I also watched them move people out of places that had their names on leases and scream the person being placed on probation better walk the walk and do as they say if they were ever to return to the household. Saw where some were even told to trust the innies to get their deposits back when the innies decided to move out and no agreement when that might be. Heck, even saw them move an adult child out secretly because the mother was going to leave and low and behold the innies needed a room mate and their money at the same time. Anyway thanks for letting this be placed in plain view for any one that will read it! Grizzy COLOR>SIZE>
  3. Just my opinion, but while under VP it seemed like we were in an elite club, separate from society yet reaching out and also living within that society. We claimed to have an open book and offered all a chance to come and look in. Remember that there were no strangers at the Way? Seclusion was the norm and encouraged, yet not demanded and through the hurried schedules of twigs and classes it was mostly unavoidable. But then came the mid to late 90's and it became the true household of God and we needed to be ever vigilant to stay with the present truth, we needed to prevail. Come out and be separate because evil and good can not occupy the same space; evil will always win out against good. There was no longer the disguise of reaching out and bringing the new into the fold, mandates demanded to find not those in need but those that were ready made. I.E. they were successful in their lives and have a lot to offer when they walked through the door. No longer did the followers faithfully reach out to the world, they confronted the world and becoming involved with an unbeliever was considered sin and a waste of time. Had a person heard the Word and not sold out to TWI2 they were to be shaken off like dust and we were to move on! Some people were told to change jobs as they claimed to have witnessed to all fellow employees and no one came. But wait, they didn?t witness they confronted them about their unbelief and their idolatry. Maybe seclusion does described TWI-1 and total isolation a better way to describe what TWI has become and there are no signs that is changing. Grizzy COLOR>SIZE>

  6. Being that Mike here is from SD and that being the SD that is reported by many as a some what paradise and not the SD that has ND for a northern border and that a discussion was started some time ago by Geek about a man in Ca that he found some rather troublesome comments concerning the word of Victor is the Word of God which lead to the posting of the sacred lost ultimate last teaching of the unbiblical most important biblical teacher since the apostles walked the face of the earth and should be placed right up there with Paul in revelation importance, I think I have tracked this back to we were warned by geek of the coming of this stuff............... Now Steve, I see your unqualified comments to be the equal opposite extreme as to Mike’s comments. On the one hand we have the Mike’s of post TWI world, the ones that are willing to over look every possible sin of the man because he taught us some great stuff after all. Then we have the Steve’s, the you have to have a mental impairment; the proverbial you got to be nucking futs to believe what you are saying and then there are so many of the in betweenies we all can find our proper little slot to fit into! I personally think that the legacy of VP will eventually go the way that he did, it will die out despite desperate efforts of some transmission components to commit their very breath to keeping the great one’s teachings alive. VP is dead and will give an account for the things he has done, as with all of us when the fire tries our works we will then be rewarded for what is left, now I am not saying that the huge piles of ashes around some’s lives won’t go unnoticed; but we will all have ashes around us. Any way, talk about a scary look into the mind of what we were to some degree or another while we were *in* and the equally scary glimpse into what we all have become to some degree or another. VP is not the message of the ages and doesn’t have to be the focus of the times! He is dead and let those that want to worship the spittle that came from his lips do so, let those that want to have the ever present battle of evil focused upon the sins of the man do so also; how ever no claims or statements to relieving one’s self upon the graves at the fountain should be public posted.............. please resort to private e-mails........... Life is way to big and to important to be spent on the constant debates over VP saint or sinner, IMHO............ but the reality of the actually reaching out and helping some confused innie see the decay and depravation of what was once a great place filled with great followers of the Lord Jesus; despite the evils of the man that started it and regardless of his motives; that to me is present and exciting.......... Mike, I think that you and the people that agree with you are a very scary extreme.........some place in the middle sounds good to me.............thankful for the good that came my way and ....ed about the evil that came and hurt so many......................... 7. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to All!!!!!!! Thanks Lightside and Ted, I will get an e-mail off to you Light sometime today. But, for anyone curious do a google search on Cliff A. (use his full name) and you will find some great stuff. Socks is so right! Those WP folks that are no longer in the bounds of TWI are doing some great things with their lives! Those that have continued in music are free to write and perform without being stuck to using way jargon and slang, they don?t have to use words like household and prevailing. Special thanks to Chatty for starting this thread and to her underpaid assistant A La, I know it sounds like and award acceptance speech ......... but we all have a wonderful reward here with this thread!!!!!!!!!! Grizzy COLOR>SIZE>
  8. I think that was the name, was by Cliff A. also and is on the top of my WP greatest hits list....... Grizzy COLOR>SIZE>

  10. 93-94 WOW year and a WOW in our team was faced with a problem of working to many hours one week. It was quite a simple problem as the company was restructuring and changing the way that they scheduled and how their pay periods worked. Being a good lil WOW she thought as it wasn?t a big deal, more of a technicality than really to many hours; she asked our WC WOW leader. She couldn?t quit over it as that would break her commitment just as working that extra 5 hrs would. This went all the way to headquarters and the simple solution came back from the *top*............................... call in sick! ?Wouldn?t that be lying????? No that will be keeping your commitment!!!!!! She really pushed the matter how she thought it was wrong to say she was sick when she wasn?t. She could do what they said and that would be *obeying* and keeping her commitment and that was what was important. Grizzy COLOR>SIZE>
  11. If some one is to be picked as such an innovator and an icon that did so much to get us to the sounds and CDs we listen to, well Les Paul has to be at the top of the list! But then I have to ask myself.........what we got here a whole bunch of commies or what? Not one mention of Chet Atkins. A few times over the years I have seen them play together on TV, great pickers the two of them........ Les and Chet. The first time I had to ask my parents who those two men were and my Dad that never showed much interest in music said those are the two greatest guitar players alive. MoTown oh bring it on, a great part of American music history. Think I will fade away while *Baby Love* is running through my head...... Grizzy COLOR>SIZE>
  12. I am trying to remember where I heard it, talk radio or on a documentary, and not sure if I got the details right, maybe Ted, Socks or one of our *resident artists know..... But I think they said that Les Paul experimented with recording technics and developed a revolutionary way to record using large reel to reels............ 8 tracks and it produced the clearest sound, better than anything and lead to all those 8 track players that I burnt the wiring up in those vehicles for mom and dad. Grizzy COLOR>SIZE>
  13. you go to settings and then put a search on personal home page, all you ever need to know will be there for you. Now I have broadban and forgot how I set the durn thing up and have space I can store there going to waste........... somebody said this stuff would be easy Grizzy COLOR>SIZE>
  14. Every generation seems to have a large percentage that feels it must rebel against the status quo and establish some sort of new identity. Then as the passage of time takes the rebels into the real world of responsibility and child raising a very high percentage of the non-conformists rebellious youth take an oath that they will never allow their children to make the mistakes they themselves have made. Parents feel the driving need to protect their own from the evils and horrors of life and heart-break and great disappointments they know so well from being young and down right stupid for a period of their own lives. Its like we want to step into a world similar to Pleasantville, everything simple and easy, black and white; right and wrong. A perpetual state of innocense where our children never suffer any thing negative in their lives and participate only in the most positive of activities. But then nature takes over and hormones take over what was such an innocent little body and as changes are manifested physically the mental and emotional worlds collide at full force. The constant battles begin and lines are drawn and edges are pushed. Experimentation becomes the new religion and the energies spent to seek approval of the parental units are turned to the getting attention of the peers, especially of the opposite sex. Human nature demands there be a scape-goat, or more appropriately a Jehovah?s goat that all the sins of a generation can be laid on then sent into the desert to cover the mistakes made and place blame some where other than on the individual that gave into natural human cravings, desires and lusts. But what should that goat be for a generation that freely participated in the sexual revolution, that dove head long into drug abuse and thought they really pioneered areas that really are as old as civilization itself. I?ve got it!!!!!!!!! We?ll blame the music Grizzy COLOR>SIZE>
  15. that song I posted the lyrics to has been banned by some stations and is the focas of debates because it deals with the subject of abortion. Grizzy COLOR>SIZE>
  16. Reading the exchanges on that consensual sex thread reminded of this song. I am now and have been since the horrible Disco Days a fan of both types of music...... Country and Western. But that is another story. Red Ragtop: Tim McGraw. 1. Written by Jason White. ( © Acuff Rose Music Inc.) Single release, © 2002, Curb. I was twenty and she was eighteen. We were just about as wild as we were green, In the ways of the world. She picked me up in that red ragtop, We were free of the folks and hiding from the cops on a summer night. Running all the red lights. An' we parked way out in a clearing in a grove, And the night was as hot as a coal-burning stove: we were cooking with gas. Ooh, it had to last In the back of that red rag top, She said: "Please don't stop." Well the very first time her mother met me, Her green-eyed girl had been a mother-to-be for two weeks. I was out of a job and she was in school. And life was fast and the world was cruel, we were young and wild. We decided not to have a child. So we did what we did and we tried to forget. And we swore up and down there would be no regrets in the morning light. But all the way home that night: On the back of that red ragtop, She said: "Please don't stop loving me." We took one more trip around the sun, But it was all make believe in the end. No, I can't say where she is today. I can't remember who I was back then. Well, you do what you do and you pay for your sins. And there's no such thing as what might have been, that's a waste of time. Drive you out of your mind. I was stopped at a red light just yesterday. Beside a young girl in a cabriolet, and her eyes were green. And I was in an old scene. I was back in that red ragtop, On the day she stopped loving me. I was back in that red ragtop, On the day she stopped loving me. all better now......... Grizzy COLOR>SIZE> [This message was edited by Grizzy on November 30, 2002 at 11:52.]

My Mom told Dad those girls will be hearing and watching this some place else, so lets see what it is. I am the youngest of 5 and at that time wasn?t that impressed by the Beetles, but did get a kick out of watching Dad?s painful looks when they were on........................ Grizzy COLOR>SIZE>

  21. It was a trip and some time spent by one of the Beetles to the Bay Area that got them all into the drugs. Not that they were into the drugs and promoting that life style for some years, that was the American influence on them, not vice versa.............. Grizzy COLOR>SIZE>

  25. What a fascinating thread this has turned out to be. Ted?s contributions have been great and I love the way he not only sees so much good in things but also brings it out in people also. As far as TWI and music, back in the early 80's I was at a friends house spending the night and found some comic books. They were comics warning of the evils of that devil music rock&roll! They showed how an innocent young scholar/athlete was drawn into a life of over indulgence and depravity because he was first a closet rocker. The loose wimmin and the drugs followed the satanic influence of the music he secretly listened to! His life ended in tragedy and suicide. Problem was there was a series of these books and each young person they covered was a true story, at least the untimely and horrible deaths and the person were all true. Then each comic had a feature artist or band and the influence they got from following the lord of darkness. One had Jimmie Page and his fascination with witchcraft and collecting very dark castles. Another had the story of Stevie Nicks and her love of that witch from Wales, what is that song about a woman taken by the wind. And there were others, oh like how Jimmie Hendricks, Marilyn and Janis all died in their own vomit! Point is this thinking and open campaigning against the music of the youth of the time was not something TWI came up by itself. Wish I would have kept those books or at least wrote down the name of the group that did them. I see we have several Jazz fans here. The reason it is called Jazz is an interesting story. Guess in the deep south and especially New Orleans is where that music came from, the story is that the prostitutes of that time were call Jezebels and their *men* were call Jezboes or something like that. The music that was born out of the clubs and the places they frequented with a southern accent was call Jazz music. So there you go, another style of music straight from the pit of he!!. Founded in sexual depravity and immorality!!!!!!!!! Grizzy COLOR>SIZE>
