  1. BecomingMe said most, if not all of Craig’s followers, are ex-Way folks. That seems so crazy to me, as Craig probably M&A’ed many of them. Why would he want to associate with anyone who would be a grease spot by midnight? And why would the ex-Way people want to be associated with a disgraced preditor? But, since Craig is now included in the grease spot crowd, is it possible he realized he was spewing nothing but BS, and only wanted to instill fear in people if they were contemplating leaving? He must have to wrestle in his mind with all the lies he has told and the lives he has ruined.
  2. I am skeptical of BecomingMe being Craig’s oldest kid. Why has she waited this long to present herself to contribute to this site? Do not know if it is possible to vetify her idemtity? In the past GSC was able to verify that The Way actually posted here in response to a post from JP Wierwille.
  3. The July/August 2022 Way Magazine’s cover declares “We are moving the Word Over the World.” On the inside there is an article entitled, “Word Over The World Report.” Apparently the Prevailing Word is no longer established around the world. https://store.theway.org/store/jul-aug-2022-way-magazine/
  4. I am really taxing my 75 year old memory attempting to recall the names of my branch leaders who died, let alone their bosses, an event that happened over 40 years ago. Neither names presently comes to mind amd probably never will.
  5. I was raised a RC and did everything to be the best young man possible. Went to mass twice a day, being the alter boy at 6:30am low mass, and singing in the choir at the 8:15am high mass. After a number of years realizing all the masses, studying everyday after school, did nothing to make me closer to God. On the contrary, feeling nothing towards God was quite disheartening and led to hating the whole mess, and after graduation, the only time attending mass was at weddings and funerals. However, I did feel God was still important, and when witnessed to at a cafe by a TWI WOW, jumped at the idea to once again do something God wanted me too. I ate PFAL up like a hungary kid. My bible had all the believing and faith markings, and anthing else heard in a tape or from a leader. However, after my branch leader and his wife died in a horrific car accident, and no leader had any intentions of raising them from the dead, but condemned them for missing the revelation God was attempting to give them to avoid the accident, my faith went South. I stuck around for years after that, only because of the fear of becoming a greasespot my midnight overtook me. When I filed for a divorce I was M&A so was forced to leave. Thank goodness I was finally out and able to recover sanity. Being out and able to think for myself, started realizing the only actions I saw about God performing miracles, was in a book written thousands of years ago. Why no parting of water in a lake when people were overtaken in a storm? Why no water being turned into wine, or the hungry getting their meager food multiplied to them? At this point, questioning the bible and God really made sense. I can’t put a label on the kind of unbeliever I am, but have determined God, Santa Clause, and the Easter Bunny are in the same class. I believe there is some kind of supernatural powers, but don’t believe anyone of them will ever be my savior. Like Sam Harris said, being an atheist allows me to expand my knowledge of life. I cannot explain it all for sure, but can study things I do not understand.
  6. Not only do some religious people refuse medical treatment, but also purists of herbal treatments do too. That is partially why Steve Jobs died. Here
  7. You can call it a rant or anthing you want. The subject of the thread is comparing god to the Easter bunny, the tooth fairy, and Santa Clause. I set forth my reason for the thread, and anyone can chose to respond to, or ignore it. But don’t expect me to dance around what I said because some cultural context is thrown out as a way justifing belief in something that doesn’t exist.
  8. I really don’t know what you are attempting to say or what your message is from your post. My hope is, at the point people stop believing in Santa and the rest of his made up gang of rabbits and fairies, they do not trade them in for a god who is just as illusional. Believers site accounts for his existence from a book written centuries ago that absolutely no one can agree upon what it really says or means. There are as many interpretations of this scroll as there are colored eggs found on Easter morning. There are more ways discovered in the bible to enter heaven than there are nickels and dimes found under the pillows of children losing a tooth. I just purchased a bread machine, and there is no indication from anyone, that it can be used to build a privacy fence or pilot an aircraft. The interpretation of what is does is quite clear, bake beautiful bread. The same accuracy is absolutely missing ftom the bible.
  9. As a child, Santa Clause brings us gifts he promises to deliver if we are a good boy. Throughout the year, little Johnny anticipates what Santa will bring him Christmas morning, all for cleaning his room and emptying the garbage. He is reminded by his parents of the consequences Christmas morning, if the garbage is not taken out on time. And low, and behold, long before dawn, he awakens, runs down the stairs, and spots the shiny new toy waiting for him under the Yule tide tree. All his good works have been worth it…Santa does reward good behavior. Then, little Johnny figures out Santa Clause, the Easter Bunny, and Tooth Fairy are nothing more than a figment of his imagination. But, then there is always God, who will save you, and reward you with heaven, if you are a good boy, and do what he demands. Throw in some crowns given out to at the resurrection, and more kudos for rightly dividing His word, and you will be set for all eternity. One can only imagine the horrible fate that awaits those who do not heed the instructions you have been entrusted with by God. Those who do not have access to the words and illistations you have received, will surely suffer a horrible life after death. Unknowingly, they have condemned themselves to eternal damnation. If this were the actions of mother or father of a child here on earth, they would be, at the least, prosecuted for child abuse. But, somehow, people cling to this abusive God?
  10. The one I ordered also will make jam, and yogurt too. I didn’t realize it when ordering, but the machine is “used, like new.” Probably why it was less than half price of a new unit. Oh well, it still has all the warranties attached to it. I purchased my KitchenAid mixer “used, like new,” and it has served me well for over 10 years. I jusr found a sourdough recipe that added baking soda to the mix so it will hopefully rise better. The starter is brewing now, so should have a loaf made later this evening. Can’t wait to cut into it.
  11. I reread your post on the sourdough thread and you said Mrs Wolf used baking powder and baking soda to get the dough to rise. I will give it a try with my sourdough bread. I do not like to add yeast to a recipe using sourdough starter because it nullifies the sour taste. How much baking powder and baking soda does she add to a 1 pound loaf of bread?
  12. I just ordered a bread machine that has 19 different baking options; from soft bread, sourdough bread, to jams, and yogurt. Do any of you experiment with recipes or follow the tried and tested ones? I just got tired of mixing ingredients, waiting for dough to rise, etc, etc. Hopefully the bread machine loaves are as delicious as the traditional ones.
  13. Ultimately, in virtually all cases, a resolution involves an offended party phoning 911. Thus, it is the understanding of the first amendment by the responding officers that determine the outcome. If the police recognize that photographing in public is lawful, everyone goes on their seperate ways. If the police believe otherwise, there are many different outcomes. Ultimately, it is the courts who settle disputes when the police believe the auditor is breaking the law.
  14. Through FB videos I have been watching men and women film from public sidewalks and public buildings. The laws allows anyone to film whatever they can see in the public. However, people are concerned if they are filmed by a person with a camera, even though there are thousands of camera’s recording, which are setup by the government and private business. Many people will protest even though filming is completely legal. Even the police, who should know the law, often arrest them. Here is an example of an “Audit”. https://www.kktv.com/content/news/Colorado-Springs-to-pay-cameraman-41000-after-First-Amendment-audit-of-police-484291511.html Are any of you an auditor or experienced seeing one?
  15. You certainly addressed the last sentence of my post, but completely ignored the previous ones, explaining how all religions indoctrinate their followers so they remain in their group.
  16. Every religion teaches parents to instruct their children in their beliefs. Why? So the children will continue their belief’s in the future. TWI is not the only religion who instructs parents to teach their doctrine to their cildren. If you go to a Catholic church they do not finish their teaching, and then say, “oh by the way, here is a 30 minute dialog about what the Baptist believe, and the Morman’s think this way, and the Methodist’s go this direction.” “Next week we’ll have a round robin and have the Quackers, Churrch of Christ, Seventh Day Adventists, and Church of Satan tells us what they believe.” TWI has it’s problems, but you make it sound like if TWI was gone, the problems of the world would be solved.
  17. It is possible the term rub in by repetition is not understood in its correct usage here? While raising my daughter, when someone did something for her, or complemented her, I had to remind her many, many times to say thank you. I did this by ‘rub in by repetition.’ She was also required to clean her bedroom before she went to bed each night. Again, I had to remind her of the responsibility, many many times through the years. I had to ‘rub in by repetition’ the same instruction for a long time. I did not abuse her physically, mentally, or emotionally, by teaching her over and over, to perform what was expected her to do.
