I know snow--!! But im in NC now..so we get snow by chance.

Shucks -- and snow supposedly hit some gas pumps in Ohio in July, too.

But the person reporting that was no weatherman!

It's been bad here in the deep south to.

Yesterday i had to cut my grass.

Today riding around I had to put the A/C on be cause it was

to darn hot. it was 73 at lunch when I checked had to

get a fresh t shirt because I was all sticky.

We did get a lot of rain in jan. Lot less mosquitos because of the 27 degree

morning we had a few weeks ago.

Thank God Boudreau the nutria rat did not see his shadow

and spring is here. The willows have put out there leaves.

Some of the oaks are springing fort. Some azaleas are peeking out.

By the way what is that word yall used SNOW?

We had hard freeze here too for a few mornings in Jan... for us, it means fewer crickets this summer... which is good.

Lots more frost damaged trees than usual here... but today was a dang fine day.

In Cajun country we don't have ground hogs.

We do have his cousin a nutria.

Looks the same but ours lives in the water.

Boudreau is the best cajun name you can have.

So on Feb 2 we have our Boudreau see if he has a

shadow.

If no mai we go crawfishing.

And make a big gumbo.

I told hubby what you posted Waysider and he said if you were in a ice freeze situation and there was nothing to eat then rats would be good eating. Oh yuck, I've never been that hungry before, and pray I never am.

We are looking at that storm in our area, yup. They say up to 9" but the ice will be the bigger concern.

We are home today enjoying a snow day!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I could get use to this, although I could starve after a week.................No work, no $$$$$$.

There was about 3" of fresh snow this morning and the roads were to be respected as I drove to work.

Yea, Rhino, that is wierd weather for Illinois..I was there 2 wks ago for my brothers memorial service, it was so cold..Im glad for the ground, it means alot come spring:)
