From the "honest obit" thread started in this section

I mean look at James Kim memorial

If you look at the Salt Lake Tribune obituaries (lots of Latter Day Saints there) here, there is not a glory to the Mormon Church, but a remembrance of the person.

Extract from the James Kim obit:

"Kim earned his friends' respect by the way he treated people, but many of them revered him for the way he cared for his family."

About which if any leaders (current or in past decade) in TWI could that be written?

there's the story of this mean old drunk who died, and there was a traveling preacher who was doing the funeral, and he was going on and on about how great the guy was, how his wife and children would miss him, and he was gone to heaven to be with the Lord.

"Henry," the man's wife told her son, "Go take a peek and see if it's pa in that coffin."

For some people the only tears shed are alligator tears.

As Excathedra said on another thread

"Thank you for the outpouring of replies."
