. . .

But there's booze in the blender,

And soon it will render,

That frozen concoction that helps me hang on.

. . .

Maybe the title will come to you as you enjoy your evening! :wink2:

Here's one my dad was fond of:

George

Pretty cool Dad, George!!

Billy Joel's Uptown Girl

Here is one from the last good band to ever make a record (IMNSHO)

Moving on the floor now babe you're a bird of paradise

Cherry ice cream smile I suppose it's very nice

With a step to your left and a flick to the right you catch that mirror way out west

You know you're something special and you look like you're the best

Contrary to popular belief,

THIS is my favourite song Duran Duran ever made.

(I find it more sing-able than "Hungry Like the Wolf".)

This is "RIO."

"Her name is Rio, she don't need to understand,

And I might find her if I'm looking like I can.

Oh, Rio, Rio, hear them shout across the land,

From mountains in the North down to the Rio Grande."

(Radio stations used to cut that off ALL THE TIME.)

No idea on the latest post. Sounds vaguely familiar.

:offtopic:

But, Wasway, no good band efforts since DD?

Check out "Ocean of Tears" or "Nice and Strong" from The Paul DeLay Band.

Not new, by any stretch, but much newer than DD and both solid "band" efforts.

Point is--- music no longer comes looking for YOU, you have to go looking for IT.

Lots of great stuff out there right now but most of it is not mainstream.

Actually WS I mis spoke.. Rio was the last Record Album that I bought.. started buying CDs .. :biglaugh: But

There have been a few bands that I liked Post DD but not many Matchbox 20 comes to mind.. for one.. Pearl Jam and Phish as well...then of course Lou Gramm went Solo in he late 80's and even did a sound track for "the Lost Boys" which included "Lost in the Shadows" which was pretty good
