Getting in tune, by The Who.

Not Yes. They did Owner of a Lonely Heart.

No, yes. No they didn't do Owner of a Lonely Heart.  Yes did that.

No, who.

Yes, Who.  Yes, The Who sang the song Gettin' in Tune.   Yes, that is this song.  But not by Yes.

I think the yea's outweigh the nay's and now it's your turn Raf.  Great tune by the way.   "Who's Next" does not have "a so so song" on the album.   It's always been one of my favorite albums.  1971 I think, a lot of incredible iconic artists with  a lot of iconic albums.

With a little perseverance you can get things done

Without the blind adherence that has conquered some

And nobody wants to know you now

And nobody wants to show you how

Just a little more time is all we're asking for.

Just a little more time can open closing doors.

Just a little uncertainty can weigh you down.

And nobody wants to know you now.

And nobody wants to show you how.

Hint: The second hit of an 80s star wrongly considered a one-hit wonder.

Awesome album!  The back story of Who's Next is interesting also.  Townsend's "Lifehouse" project.

This is NOT easy, but it definitely got airplay, just not recently.  (I got TIRED of hearing it, once.)  Here's much of the lyrics to make it less difficult.

"Rendezvous on Champs-Élysées.
Leave Paris in the morning on TEE."

"In Vienna we sit in a late-night café.
Straight connection, TEE."

"From station to station back to Düsseldorf City
Meet Iggy Pop and David Bowie."

I will take EITHER the title OR the artist-  or both if you're feeling really confident.

Ok, given the inability to post more lyrics without giving away the title, I'm posting a different song from the same artist.  (Besides, I like the previous song, but Wordpup likes this one better.)

"Eins, zwei, drei, vier
Fünf, sechs, sieben, acht
One, two
Eins, zwei, drei, vier
Fünf, sechs, sieben, acht
One, two
Eins, zwei, drei, vier
Fünf, sechs, sieben, acht
One, two
Eins, zwei, drei, vier
Fünf, sechs, sieben, acht
One, two"

Well, it's counting in German, French, and Italian.  But I have no idea what the song is.

George

Any other observations you can make about the current song, George?  You mentioned it's "counting", but you didn't mention what's being counted.

I still have no idea, though now we've added Japanese.

George

You know they're counting, but you don't know WHAT they're counting?  Is this a joke?  I know you know you're reading a bunch of things, what things are they?  (I know you know what things they are, don't be obtuse.)

Definitely a case of the music being more familiar than the lyrics.

I HATED this song.

And haven't thought of it in decades. So thank you, from the bottom of my spleen, for reminding me.

Yeah, cheated and disqualified, gladly, because I wouldn't remember this title or artist to save my life.

So, we all know they counted in German, French, Italian and Japanese.   Can anyone other than Raf actually tell me what it was they were counting? Or what you're saying if you're counting out loud?  I'd swear George is working hard to avoid saying the one word that will end this round.

You're all making this MUCH harder than it has to be.
