The only comforting thing about this tropical depression is that it is improbable that it will become a hurricane. The water is not warm enough now to permit such a storm to form. Hurricane season ends in about 2 weeks and hurricanes that develop now are very rare.

Actually, I heard on the weather last night that it could develop into a category 2 hurricane. :o

Heard the Accuweather forecast from Joe Bastardi this morning and he's predicting a Cat 2/ Cat 3. He's been scarily accurate in his predictions so far...

I'm not sure how bad that really is, living in the north east. But I'll say "whew", and leave it at that because I trust you and I know you know what you're talking about.

I wouldn't worry about it Raf. What are the odds that a storm would form in the Caribbean, hang around the Yucatan, and turn northeast to devastate Florida?

Oh, it happened a month ago?

Never mind...
