Cool Waters no problem actually your post made me strain the brain and some good memories surfaced. So I owe you. Amazing the things that we hold somewhere in there. It was your pal Mr. K that pulled the plug on that house I forget why but people were set to move in with him then it changed I think it was not good enough or something...

Cool Waters I said one because that was all that the Way owned The one in Wichita on Belmont. The ones here were really not Way Homes per say.The one at 915 Western was the closest to one when mike.bobby and I leased it in 74 we did run it by the way home guidelines set up in the ECU home for about a year. After that it was really a branch home as it did not continue in the way home structure. The others you mentioned had mixed results but mostly were people living together. None were owned by the way but rented. I am not aware of any Way owned property in the KC area that I remember but that would be the MO limb. Now the Way Of Kansas did spend some money on the western house when we moved in Ross Tracy gave us money to wallpaper the downstairs dining room, living room, and parlor and to remodel the office space. They also bought the 100 new folding chairs for the branch. We did all the wallpapering and painting. That was a nice home and served the area well for years the medical center wanted that house for parking the owners had lived there all their life and would not sell it to be destroyed. They were so happy to see we cared for it so well as they were concerned at first. We had to do some fast talking to get them to lease it to us and pay some heavy deposits. We had them over for dinner after the remodel and they loved what we had done. After they passed away the kids sold it for the cash and reduced it to a parking lot. :(-->

The Kansas home was sold in the early 80s. Oak is right as the dynamics changed and people grew up the married people became the larger part and with kids homes large enough to accommodate families were hard to find and to rent. The teens that were left in the way mostly were glad to be away and out on their own. People wanted their own space and stuff the 70s were long gone. And also investing in your own home ,Tax deductions and so on.....

CW And Samuel said, What [meaneth] then this bleating of the sheep in mine ears...(I Samuel 15:14) Please don't speak for all of us while speaking for yourself. While I would agree with you that often love got lost in the pile of words. I can't say that everybody was taght that. There were a lot of fine people who came into Way world yourself included. Sometimes we became lost sheep so to speak, but a wolf I never aspired to be. Now You are everything a big bad wolf could want.....Owooooooo This gives new meaning to Sams song. I wish you could read it in the original.... Sam The Sham And The Pharaohs LI'L RED RIDING HOOD (Ronald Blackwell) Owoooooooo! Who's that I see walkin' in these woods? Why, it's Little Red Riding Hood. Hey there Little Red Riding Hood, You sure are looking good. You're everything a big bad wolf could want. Listen to me. Little Red Riding Hood I don't think little big girls should Go walking in these spooky old woods alone. Owoooooooo! What big eyes you have, The kind of eyes that drive wolves mad. So just to see that you don't get chased I think I ought to walk with you for a ways. What full lips you have. They're sure to lure someone bad. So until you get to grandma's place I think you ought to walk with me and be safe. I'm gonna keep my sheep suit on Until I'm sure that you've been shown That I can be trusted walking with you alone. Owoooooooo! Little Red Riding Hood I'd like to hold you if I could But you might think I'm a big bad wolf so I won't. Owoooooooo! What a big heart I have-the better to love you with. Little Red Riding Hood Even bad wolves can be good. I'll try to be satisfied just to walk close by your side. Maybe you'll see things my way before we get to grandma's place. Little Red Riding Hood You sure are looking good You're everything that a big bad wolf could want. Owoooooooo! I mean baaaaaa! Baaa?

Cowgirl Am I reading your question wrong I thought you were asking if God works in someone to do something doesn't that violate freedom of will? Since he is instigating the change. Was that your question? not how He works in someone ie: how it happens.

Doctrine and learning- The Aramaic reads much the same teaching, instruction, doctrine Reproof and evidence- Berrys Greek uses conviction in both. Tyndale also reads the same.

Clearly reproof as practiced in the Way was on very rare occasion used correctly or even reproof biblically. It was used as a means to terrorize, control, and inflict hurt upon many loving people. Vague useage of scripture spun out of control with personal philosophy was often the norm. That said I wonder though do we really want to start throwing out words that People misused. Isn't that a little arrogant to tell God that we don't like his choice of words, and that He really sucks at communication skills. But Hey well fix it with a new word for Him. Take for instance love, now what some people call loving, others call abuse. If someone says they love you while they beat the s**t out of you. Do we just think of a new word for love. What if people misuse money given for the work of God? Do we just dispose of giving? Who decides what to keep or change? And what will be left? Wouldn't it make more sense to understand what reproof is and then use it correctly rather than toss out words people have misused.

Wierwille books on eBay - going for HIGH $$$
WhiteDove replied to Jeff USAF RET's topic in About The Way
WB $10.00-$20.00. -
There is a person with a office overseas who also has use by agreement with The Way for those materials. Assuming that that is still valid then they could be distributed.

Hey All I also visited with this lady about the disk. I want to add this she was not aware of the fact that it was copyrighted still. (For reasons I wont go in to) It was an honest mistake and she pulled them from ebay once she realized it was, she had made up a few and did not want to trash them. Now the reason she was doing this in the first place was because her husband was hit by a drunk driver and suffered nerve damage and is not able to work. She works a job but it is not enough to keep them afloat she is just trying to keep going on with life. I don't know if she comes here to read but maybe we can cut her a little slack. At least maybe if nothing else we can pray for her, also if you would be interested in helping her in some other way you may contact me and I will forward your email to her. You can email me at the bookshop. Thanks Email:itiswrittenbksp@msn.com

An appeal to the Christians who want to leave the GSC...
WhiteDove replied to sirguessalot's topic in Open
RE: SITE TO SITE POSTINGS I agree that keeping things in context is important but beyond that. If your man enough to speak about someone behind their back then be man enough to stand by your words when the repercussions come. Other wise these sites will just become free sniping zones where you can go and insult people while keeping your smiley status protected elsewhere. -
Ok I'll buy the invoking of figures of speech as long as we realize that it now sets a precedent for others to do the same in weaseldum. For instance it could be said:"All non Christians are fools not wise." (Not as a statement of faith of course) but an Oxymoron-that which at first sight appears to be foolish, yet when we come to consider it, we find it exceedingly wise. The scriptures have many examples: which are very instructive, because God's wisdom is esteemed foolish by man,and yet so very wise as to be far beyond his comprehension. This affords a wide field for the use of this most expressive figure.-E.W.Bullinger
