just a side thought.. who are "they"? Is it kinda like.. mighty rosie is gonna preserve the "seed royal" (next generation) from some kind of destruction? It makes sense, from a twisted kinda "biblical" way.. I think I understand, kinda.. Is it.. The last set of "leadership" has left an entire generation of "belivers" as orphans? No place.. to go for nourishment, support.. love.. care? christ.. they want a go at a whole new generation.. I think the most disturbing thing about all of this.. they really think that God Almighty is gonna trust them with more lives after they butchered a bunch already..

I love the Twilight Zone.. "some of us" remember what it was like coming into this existence.. if a person really knew, or remembered.. I don't think they'd be in such a darn hurry to pull the plug on some poor stooge.. :)
-
hmm.. that assumes that her time and usefulness was every really there to begin with.. I think they reflect corporate america at it's worst. Only thing I can say is.. I hope the new guy has a conscience.. miraculously left unseared with twi's hot iron..

Or we're trying, really really trying..

I think Rosie took a clue from history. Right, *mr* L*nder?
-
That's usually MY cue.. "I'm done doing what I'm doing, carry on, nothing to see.."

I can't help but think about this.. What if... hmmm. Just what if.. your "leadership" suggested castration as a necessary "procedure" to keep gawd first, and the work of da ministry.. after all, it's just a *little* piece of flesh, a group of a few cells.. It's not a living, breathing, human being we're talking about, anyway.. I could actually make a pretty convincing argument that this is da will of gawd.. "look at Daniel, what a GREAT man o gawd he was... probably endured this.. and NOAH.."
-
it does to me. The few women I know who had an abortion, or even miscarriage.. have mourned the event for years afterwards. If it isn't a death, it's the next closest thing. The thing I find dispicible, in a way.. is that while the men argue the doctrinal intricacies and details, some in some attempt to justify it, they are not the ones who must endure the lasting consequences. What I have a real issue with.. is some mog wanabe thinks that he should simply be spared some embarassment with a doctor's scalpel.. I think they are cutting off the wrong thing..

Too simple for me.. There is another school of thought that claims "if mischief follow" does not refer only to the death of the woman, but the death of the infant as well. http://www.covenantnews.com/cspa990830.htm

I think part of the problem here is, you are asking a three to four thousand year old book to make a comment on men in white surgical gowns, in a sanitary hospital setting, with modern surgical implements, busy at removing offspring from mother's wombs. I really, really think that this was well beyond Moses's or anyone elses wildest dreams.. honestly, are you not asking "what would MOSES do, if he ran across this particular situation.."? Are you not asking why something that Moses couldn't even DREAM of was not PROHIBITED by Moses? I don't see the logic here..
-
Oldies.. doesn't that make you dizzy?
-
I dunno. The argument make as much sense as Capone going to ask the Pope if it's OK to off some guy.. Rascal, all I can say is I hope so.. If God is God.. he can't be any less than some of us..

David, I thought this was the All-Seeing Spaghetti Eye..

I never did.. THANK GOD... but I understand his philosopy here. You take what's on hand, and spread a it around a bit..

Yep.. that is reasonable.. and if I may add.. NOT the life STYLE of the mother, or to save the reputation or life style of the married mogster who fathered the child.. not by his own wife.. nor to save a damned "ministry".. the same ethics that they invoke regarding abortion.. just a little piece of flesh.. ok to nip it off.. are the same they invoke for full grown adults. You are expendable. Look what they did to Dotsy and others.. a little financial pressure.. a little inconvenience.. I think twi reflects corporate america at it's worst. It just makes me wonder.. how many have been sacrificed for the illusion of riches..

well.. I've tossed out everything.. except for a few books by Pillai, Bullinger, a couple of greek books.. and this particular bible. The last bible I bought was a Bullinger Companion in about 1985 or so. I refused to put a single note in it, but I did put my name on it. Oh, forgot the Oxford in 1993. All it got in it was the holy spirit usages, and dechomai and lambano occurences. One of my kids lost it a few years ago.. no real big loss.. :)

Hmm. I think spiritually bankrupt people are like a black hole of sorts.. take, and take, and take.. Believe it or not.. I've always been at peace. Even with the life suckers around me.. sometimes, the best strategy.. is to give them EXACTLY what they want.. by their very nature, they will eat until they choke.. maybe that's too cruel.. :)

I wonder how I could take ole vic's teachings SO seriously that I would do this. Anybody else go to this kind of extreme? This was one of the most dense sections of notes.. but there are lots more. Genesis, John, lots and lots of notes, keyed to letters and numbers I put in the text.. even had a few "appendices" in the back of the bible, pretty much covered JCING, RHST, ADAN.. There is actually a complete copy of the 62 page pfal sylabus, but that part got rained on and is currently illegible.
-
Hmmm. Now there's a thought! I wonder if any lawyer types need fine print work..
-
Basically, they are all notes from pfal. Must've been a fanatic of sorts.. :) in case it shrinks down too much on this page, it is in my gallery. http://www.greasespotcafe.com/ipb/uploads/...1_76_152843.jpg Yeah, I could write that small, and actually read it. This little skill did prove useful a year or so back in Calculus III and Physics 211. Both instructors allowed one four by eight inch card with handwritten formulas and stuff for the exams..

My old bible, one page with notes -
I think you got censored, Abi. Next time, you might try "straight from the wrong end of the horse." But I'll second that.. I also heard loy rant about it. What a nimrod.. two verses out of the bible.. the one in exodus, and the one in the gospels calling Jesus a holy "thing".. he stretched the bible so far out of context, it looked like a Sumo wrestler's corset..
-
I wasn't making that insinuation. :) It's just.. sheesh.. I think these guys give men a bad name.. As bad as some people think he was, even Hemingway had more sensitivity.. I think he nailed the attitudes pretty well with "Hills like White Elephants". The woman was saying.. "we could have had the world... once 'they' take it, you'll never get it back.." The man was saying.. "naw, no big deal. It's not even an operation.."

Thou hast FULLY known my doctrine and manner of life
Ham replied to skyrider's topic in About The Way
True, but it is a darn good start.. But this zero accountability deal.. it's like "you owe us EVERYTHING, WE owe YOU NOTHING." I remember rants when loy was FURIOUS that anybody would withhold their precious ABS when he wasn't behaving properly.
