I don't think anyone truly knows the correct meaning of that scripture. It's my belief that Wierwille simply used it to promote his little "now you see it, now you don't" trick with the comma in order to convince us he had an inside track on such matters.

I don't recall ever hearing about a spirit that imitated. Familiar spirits were supposedly the ones that divulged information at seances, psychic readings and so forth.

I don't subscribe to all the spirit mumbo-jumbo anymore. As I recall, though, a familiar spirit is supposed to be a sort of surveillance spirit. In other words, they sneak around and secretly gather information that they expose at opportunistic moments..... like a spiritual phone tap

At one time, PFAL was 13 sessions. The 13th session was optional and concerned itself with "speaking in tongues with interpretation" and "prophesy". This session was later removed and replaced with the Intermediate Class, which covered the same basic materials in an expanded form. (ie: excellor sessions) Also included in the 13th session was a teaching on "The Unforgivable Sin", which is a subject that is addressed in the Advanced Class. As far as I know, the other materials covered in the Advanced Class were never part of the basic PFAL format.
